Overview

In this Monster Hunter Wilds ecosystems guide, we cover all the known biomes that will comprise the maps you'll be hunting on.

For each section, we'll include the known monsters as well as a video from the official Monster Hunter Wilds channel that will preview what the area looks like.

Windward Plains

The Windward Plains was the playable region that was available during the Beta Playtests. It's a biome that includes savannah-like plains, rock formations and tunnels, along with desert sands. Occasionally, the Sandtide Inclemency event hits, bringing an oppressive sandstorm and thunder. The Plains are populated by the Kunafa, Windsong Village which is the origin of your Seikret mount.

Scarlet Forest

The Scarlet Forest is a lush and flowing biome alongside a river. It is characterized by its namesake, a red water that spans across its grounds. A massive rainstorm, the Downpour, will flood the Scarlet Forest as its Inclemancy. At the Wudwud Hideout, you'll find the local inhabitants, a Lynian tribe.

Oilwell Basin

Within Oilwell Basin, you'll find a landscape characterized by oil pools and rocky caves. When the Firespring Inclemancy hits, it suddenly transforms into a fiery hellscape, with burst of flames and lava. Even within such a hostile biome, you'll find Azuz, the Everforge, where a settlement of craftspeople live.

Iceshard Cliffs

Not much is known about the Iceshard Cliffs, but we can assume it will draw a lot of similarities to locations from Monster Hunter Worlds: Iceborne.

SPOILERS - The Ruins of Wyveria

We won't go into too much details here since it's related to the story's progression, but in this area you'll find monsters like:
