Weapons, Shields, and Catalysts
In Elden Ring: Nightreign, it is very important to know all the possible equipment you can get on your run, where you can get the equipment, and what items would be just right for your character build. Below you can find out all of the available information on Armaments, Shields and Catalysts - their attack powers, defensive capabilities, level required, or weapon skills they come with.
Ashes of War, Spells and Consumables
Spells and Ashes of War can be very importnat to unleash damage upon your enemies, or provide support and utility to yourself and your team.
Ashes of War provide you with a powerful damaging or utility skill that you can use as long you have the weapon in your hand. They can be randomly found with armaments, although some unqiue weapons come with their unqiue skills. They can affect the damage profile of a weapon, or provide a weapon with status ailment buildup on hit.
Spells can be casted as long as you have a respective Catalyst in your hand. They come in two forms - sorceries, which are usually highly damaging spells that can be effective at both range and melee, and incantations - various spells that can deal moderate damage, or provide support and utility.
Consumables can further enhance your build by providing utility, such as temporary damage reduction, FP restoration, and more. They can also deal damage and apply status effects upon your enemies.
Talismans and Relics
In the world of Limveld, you can randomly stumble upon a Talisman - a powerful keepsake that will provide your character class with additional bonsues, such as better Stamina regeneration, higher damage output with sorceries, and more. They can be a powerful addition to any build!
Unlike Talismans, Relics can be equipped in The Roundtalbe Hold, before you embark on your journey. Just as Talismans, they can provide plethora of passive effects that will make your next run much easier!
Weapon Passives and Dormant Powers
Weapon Passives are randomly found on any weapon, shield or catalyst you might pick up in Elden Ring: Nightreign. They can provide passive bonuses to your attack power, defensive stats, or even boost your damage with spells. The most important part is that some weapon passives keep giving you benefit even if you're not wielding the weapon currently. As long as it is equipped in one of 6 slots for your armaments, you will receive the full benefit. Examples of weapon passives include:
Improved Charged Incantation (20%)
Improved Chain Attack Finishers (+20%)
Improved Dexterity
- etc.
Dormant powers work just like weapon passives, but are not tied to weapons. Instead, you can be rewarded with dormant powers after defeating bosses, and they stay active until the run is over. Examples of dormant powers include:
Attack Boost [Dragons]
Improved Throwing Pots
Increased Maximum HP
- etc.
