Executor is a playable character class in Elden Ring: Nightreign. He's a Sekiro-inspired Nightfarer with the unique ability to deflect incoming attacks, completely negating the damage that would have been received otherwise.
He is armed with a unique weapon, referred to as the "Cursed Sword", which he can switch to using his character skill. This blade's shell breaks apart with each deflection, eventually revealing a glowing blade that can execute a succession of strikes and deal damage in a wide lunging attack.
It appears that Executor will be a rather hard to play Nightfarer, but mastering his kit might pay off with incredible defences, as well as devastating damage.
Executor Character Sheet
"A cursed blade, drawn not in rage, but in reverence."
Executor abilities make him hard to play character, but in skilled and practiced hands, can turn him into a devastating force in Limveld.
Just as any other Nightfarer, Executor has Passive Ability - a skill that passively provides bonuses or effects, Character Skill - an active ability on a cooldown, that can either deal damage or provide utility, and an Ultimate Art - a long cooldown ability that can unleash devastating damage or provide with much needed utility in the heat of the battle.
Passive Ability - Tenacity
"Receive a boost when cleansed from status ailments."
Executor receives a boost to attack and stamina recovery speed while recovering from status ailments. He is the only character in the game so far who benefits from status ailments.
Character Skill - Cursed Sword
"Draw a cursed sword that can deflect enemy attacks."
Executor can unsheathe his signature Cursed Sword, gaining access to a completely separate set of defensive and offensive abilities. Wielding Cursed Blade allows Executor to deflect incoming blows, perform strikes, or use a special skill. This skill makes Executor assume a stance, and after a brief delay, lunge at the enemy in a wide sweeping attack, cutting through them in the process.
Every time Executor successfully deflects a hit, the shell of Cursed Sword becomes more damaged, revealing a glowing blade inside. On top of that, any attempt to deflect a hit costs Stamina. If deflection was successful, the Stamina cost is refunded immediately. This mechanic encourages players to use deflections in a more calculating manner.
Judging by the glow of the blade, as well as Executor being inspired by Crucible Knights, it is likely that the blade will deal both Physical and Holy damge.
Ultimate Art - Aspect of the Crucible: Beast
"Assume the form of the primordial beast."
Executor's Ultimate Art transform him into a primordial Crucible Beast, completely changing his size and his attacks. During this transformation, Executor can attack with his claws in wide sweeping arcs, slam the ground for AoE damage, potentially stunning enemies, and summon a magical blade with which he can attack an enemy.
Upon transforming, he also gains a significant boost of temporary health along with healing to full life. So it can be extremely handy to keep you alive in an otherwise dicey situation.
Executor - Equipment
Starting Equipment
Executor starts the game with a Katana. Given what we know about other Nightfarers, this Katana will be called "Executor's Katana" and will be of common rarity. He'll also have access to his Cursed Sword which is activated with his Character Skill.
Relics
Every Nightfarer has three starting relic slots, the Executors are RED, YELLOW, and, YELLOW. Relics are acquired as you play through Nightreign and are the form of longterm progression since that help you optimize the start of your run.
The type of relic sockets each Nightfarer has can be changed as the Roundtable Hold merchant.
Executor - Leveling, Stats and Attributes
In Elden Ring: Nightreign, you can spend your runes at the Site of Grace to level up your character. Leveling up increases Hit Points, Focus Points (Mana), and Stamina. While not explicitly shown in the game, it also increases hidden attributes, such as Strength, Dexterity, Faith or Intelligence.
Attributes Scaling
Executor has the highest scaling in Dexterity an Arcane out of all Nightfarers. This allows him to use Dexterity-based weapons to their full potential, especially if they are infused with Occult, Poison or Scarlet Rot.
Since the Executor has access to his signature parry, he relies on it for defense. In comparison to other melee classes, only the Duchess has worse scaling than the Executor. He's among the worst in class when it comes to FP and his Stamina is toward the middle of the pack.
Calculation

Executor - Strengths and Weaknesses
As every other character in Elden Ring: Nightreing, Executor comes with his own strengths and weaknesses.
His noteable strengths are:
His is able to utilize deflections with his "Cursed Sword" skill, boosting his own damage in the process. In skilled hands, this character has a potential for very high DPS / survivability.
Essentially can get a second life via usage of his Ultimate Art, restoring all HP, and getting additional max health on top of that. Very useful as a panic skill.
Has the highest scaling in Arcane out of all Nightfarers, which makes him the best class to utilize Blood Loss, Poison and Scarlet Rot infused armaments.
His particular weaknesses are:
Along with Recluse, he is the hardest class to play in the game effectively. While he's in the middle of the road in terms of HP, missing a deflect and getting hit is still very punishing.
Can struggle against multiple opponents at once.
Executor's power comes mainly from his "Cursed Sword" skill, which you will need to get fairly often instead of the regular weapon to get the most out of his kit. This can make Executor's builds feel clunky at times.
Executor - Core Playstyle and Builds
Executor's core playstyle revolves around being agile fightre, being able to deflect even the heaviest blows from the enemies, while applying devastating wounds through Dexterity-based weapons and status ailments, such as Blood Loss, Poison or Scarlet Rot.
The best Executor builds revolve around just that, due to his high scaling in Dexterity and Arcane, allowing him to effectively wield fast weapons, focused on applying harmful ailments to his enemies.
When it comes to weapons, the best types of weapons to use are:
These weapon types, especially if powerstanced, allow for fast attacks, which allow for fast buildup of negative effects on enemies, as well providing solid damage and mobility on their own. Thanks to Executor's passive ability, Tenacity, it is also viable to use Ashes of War that apply status ailment buildup on self, such as Seppuku. Since Executor has S scaling in Arcane, you want to wield weapons that are Occult, Poison or Scralet Rot infused to apply status ailments on enemies faster.
For weapon passives, you want anything that will directly improve your attack damage, status ailment buildup, or lets you stay in the fight for longer. Good options are:
Improved Attack Power When Wielding Two (+13%)
Improved Chain Attack Finishers (+15%)
Improved Dexterity
Improved Stamina Recovery (+4)
Successive Attacks Improve Attack Power
Poison & Rot Trigger Continuous HP Recovery (+4%)
For dormant powers, you want to further boost your attack damage, survivability, and lean into status ailments. The following options are strong contendors for good dormant powers to have on Executor:
Inflicts Blood Loss at Low HP
Improved Stamina Recovery
Sudden Enemy Death upon Attacks
