His kit allows him to power through and withstand even the most devastating attacks, including the ones from bosses. On offense, he can deal devastating damage to enemies, easily staggering and breaking their stances in retaliation.
Raider is an invaluable class in terms of trading blows with enemies and coming out on top, while creating crucial attack openings for his team due to crowd control that poise breaking allows.
Due to his preferences in massive armaments, he gets his own unique moveset with Colossal Weapons.

Raider Meta Relics Examples
Here's a quick look at Relic Effects that work well with Raider:
"Taking damage boosts Retaliate potency, cannot be knocked down while using it."
Raider cannot be knocked down while using Retaliate, allowing him to tank a significant blow with the right amount of HP while simultaneously charging your character skill to deal higher damage.
Character Skill: Retaliate
"Assume attack stance and pummel vigorously. A defensive posture which reduces incoming damage. An enhanced skill which causes even larger enemies to recoil."
Raider assumes attacking stance, stomping the ground for small amount of AoE damage. During this time, thanks to his passive ability, he has massive boost in defences, allowing him to tank even the heaviest blows from enemies. If Raider absorbs enough damage this way, Retaliate then allows Raider to follow up with a devastating headbutt, dealing massive damage to the unfortunate enemy or boss, while staggering them, knocking them down or completely breaking their poise.
If used corrently, this ability can be an invaluable tool both offensively and defensively. While Raider still takes damage even during his stance, the damage is barely noticeable. The retailation attack, on the other hand, allows raider not only deal damage with the skill itself, but possibly set the enemy up to recieve a charged heavy attack shortly after.
Ultimate Art: Totem Stela
"Drive gravekeeper's wedge into earth to summon a giant tombstone."
After a brief animation, Raider summons a massive pillar from the ground, dealing massive AoE damage in a small area around him. Summoning the pillar puts Raider on top of it, creating an opening for a devastating jump attack, which can deal high damage and stagger even the strongest enemies.
The pillar can also be useful as a utility tool, as it is climbable, creating a brief safe high ground for ranged characters, such as Recluse or Ironeye, to attack enemies from. In addition, it can block projectiles and is indestructible. Lastly, the pillar grants a damage buff to your team.
Raider - Equipment
Starting Equipment
Raider starts the game with his own unique Raider's Greataxe - a Colossal Weapon that deals Physical and Fire damage to enemies. It has EndureAsh of War, allowing this Nightfarer to further his ability to trade blows with enemies.
Having access to such an armament allows Raider to deal with just about any enemy with ease, without even fearing for retaliation, as heavy weapons can stun majority of enemies and some smaller bosses with ease, creating even more openings for further attacks.
Additionally, it makes it very to break the stance of the enemy in just few hits, opening them up for a devastating critical hit.
However, Colossal weapons take a long time to swing, leaving Raider vulnerable during attack animation, so timing is key. Endure can help to power through some of the blows dealt by enemies.
Relics
In Nightreign, relics represent your long term progression. You earn them as you play and you can purchase them from the merchant. They allow you to customize the start of your run to give you something to build around. Each Nightfarer has their own set of starting relics, the Raider's is RED, GREEN, and GREEN.
Raider - Leveling, Stats and Attributes
In Elden Ring: Nightreign, you can spend your runes at the Site of Grace to level up your character. Leveling up increases Hit Points, Focus Points (Mana), and Stamina. While not explicitly shown in the game, it also increases hidden attributes, such as Strength, Dexterity, Faith, or Intelligence.
Attributes Scaling
Raider in particular has a solid growth in Strength, Vigor and Endurance with each level up. He is a very tanky Nightfarer, second only to Guardian. His Strength scaling allows him to wield heavy weapons to their fullest potential.
The Raider is among the best when it comes to HP and Stamina growth due to his scalings, but naturally as a barbarian frontliner, his FP scaling is quite poor.
Calculation

Raider - Strengths and Weaknesses
As every other character in Elden Ring: Nightreign, Raider comes with his own strengths and weaknesses.
His strengths are:
Has insane stagger and stance breaking potential, creating crucial openings for follow up attacks or devastating critical hits.
Raider can take anything with good timing on his Retaliate skill, while also dealing massive damage back to the attacker.
Can provide team with much needed support by either blocking projectiles or creating high ground with his Totem Stela.
Has incredible potential to be an effective Nightfarer for solo runs in Limveld.
His weaknesses are:
He is the least mobile character, while being melee focused. This can make fighting certain enemies and bosses a frustrating experience.
Raider's playstyle encourages him to trade blows by either using Colossal weapons, or his Retaliate skill, which in some cases can lead to less than desireable results. Missing timing with Retaliate will make Raider to take full blow from an attack, while also not giving him opportunity to strike back with enhanced version of this skill.
Raider - Playstyles and Builds
As it was mentioned already, Raider is a character who is focused on melee combat, absorbing or trading blows with enemies. He shines with heavier weapons, and to optimally build Raider, it's best to lean into his strengths.
For weapon, it's best to stick with heavy armaments. Good options are:
Raider can benefit both from powerstancing his armaments, or using a Greatshield to build into devastating guard counters.
For weapon passives, it's best to go with more attack power, and improved charged attacks. Examples include:
Improved Charged Attacks (+12%)
Improved Attack Power When Two-Handing (13%)
With dormant powers, you want to further enhance your offensive capabilities or lean more into defense:
Improved Physical Attack power
Improved Poise
Improved Stance-Breaking
Improved Physical Damage Negation
