Preliminary Arknights: Endfield Tier List - Version 1.0
Tiers are not ordered, simply placed by rarity -> alphabetical. More in-depth breakdown coming soon
Methodology
This Tier List is an extremely preliminary analysis of the Operators in the second Closed Beta. There may be more changes coming to the roster on release day, so be sure to keep that in mind while reading.
Expect frequent changes to come to the tier list upon the game's release.
As for methodology, we don't have a strict baseline for Operators. We try to evaluate F2P accessibility, flexibility, top-end strength, best case scenario, etc. Every Operator can be valuable in different ways, and you can read more below.
Commentary
S-Tier
Ardelia is our pick for the best Supporter. She is simple to use, flexible, and effective. She applies both Arts / Physical Susceptibility by consuming Corrosion, which her Combo Skill applies (with an easy trigger as well). Everyone will be getting her for free, and she's a great Operator to invest into.
DPS -
Laevatain /
Last Rite /
Yvonne
These Operators were picked for S-Tier due to their damage potential.
Laevatain does more AoE damage, while
Yvonne focuses on single-target damage.
Last Rite is a Standard Operator with strict team-building requirements, but there are easily accessible teammates for her. The only thing to keep in mind is that
Last Rite really wants her signature weapon
Khravengger, as other options pale in comparison.
A-Tier
Gilberta is the second Limited and strong Support that uses gravity fields to pull enemies together. Depending on the content, this can be very useful. However, the long term-usefulness of such an effect is unknown.
In terms of her supportive capabilities, she can apply Arts Susceptibility, and can also apply Vulnerable. While this makes her flexible for a Physical or Arts team, a team that uses both Arts and Physical will be able to maximize her supportive kit.
Akekuri /
Antal - Both of these Operators were great in the second beta. Akekuri acts as a generic SP battery for essentially any team. On the other hand,
Antal is a great addition to Electric or Heat teams with his supportive kit.
Endministrator /
Pogranichnik - Both of these Operators consume Vulnerable stacks and are key pieces for Physical teams. Endministrator Crushes to deal more damage, while Pogranichnik applies Breach to refund SP.
Perlica is a powerful buffer that can force apply Electrification, increasing Arts Damage Taken. This makes her useful in a variety of teams, such as
Laevatain teams, Electric teams,
Last Rite teams, and more.
Wulfgard is both a strong DPS and Sub DPS. His kit is very self-sufficient, meaning he can slot into a variety of setups and still perform his role well.
B-Tier
Ember /
Lifeng /
Chen Qianyu - These three Operators make up more of the Physical Team core. Chen is the best at applying Vulnerable, making her a mainstay in Physical teams. Ember grants survivability, Vulnerable, and extra stagger. Lastly, Lifeng applies Vulnerable and Physical Susceptibility, making him another great Sub-DPS.
Avywenna /
Arclight - These two Operators + Perlica make up the accessible Mono-Electric Team (with Antal). While the damage is good,
Avywenna requires strong positioning to maximize her damage. While this can be fun to execute, it realistically can lead to multiple DPS losses.
Arclight is generally used in this specific setup, so her flexibility is a bit lacking at the moment.
Xaihi is mainly used alongside Last Rite or Yvonne for healing and Cryo Infliction. She is great in those teams, but her lack of flexibility as a Supporter has her lower tiered.
Estella is an accessible Operator that has two main uses. 1 - Use in
Last Rite teams for Cryo Infliction. 2 - Use in Physical-Cryo hybrid teams alongside
Alesh for Solidification and Physical Susceptibility. While she is often used alongside Alesh for Phys/Cryo teams, her use case in Last Rite teams bumps her up a little bit.
C-Tier
Alesh - As mentioned, often used with
Estella as their kits synergize perfectly. Estella applies Cryo Infliction -> Alesh consumes it to force Solidification -> Trigger Estella Combo Skill to apply Lift (Vulnerable) and Physical Susceptibility.
Da Pan is similar to
Endministrator in that he applies Crush to consume Vulnerable. The difference is that Da Pan triggers on Combo at 4 stacks while Endmin can trigger at any time with Battle Skill. Da Pan does more damage with his Crush, but can be a little clunkier to play due to the Combo Crush. You can even use
Endministrator and
Da Pan together and have Endmin simply apply Vulnerable with a first hit of Crush. Depending on the meta viability of this setup, Da Pan can certainly move up the list.
Snowshine is a sustain Operator that is able to apply Cryo Infliction when attacked. Her Ultimate is able to force Solidification, which can pair with
Estella for Physical/Cryo teams. However, her "meta" role will be pairing with
Last Rite for more Cryo Inflictions and extra sustain.
Fluorite is a Sub-DPS that can apply an extra stack of Nature or Cryo Infliction with her Combo skill. This gives her a place in
Last Rite teams, but her long cooldown is less than ideal. Even still, as a Nature Operator, she has access to Nature Infliction and Corrosion to reduce enemy All Resistance.
D-Tier
Catcher is unfortunately just not very useful at the moment. There are better free options for sustain, and his Vulnerable application is lacking compared to other Operators.
