Laevatain is a Heat Striker with great AoE and damage, making her a good unit for any content. Her kit requires specific team setups in order to achieve maximum damage but it’s fully rewarding once everything is in place.

Best Teams
Laevatain
Wulfgard
Akekuri
Ardelia
This team uses multiple Heat characters to apply Heat Inflictions for Laevatain and Ardelia for Sustain and Nature Infliction, enabling Combustion and Corrosion triggers for Laevatain Combo Skill. Akekuri also helps with SP generation on her Combo Skill and Ultimate.
Keep in mind that depending on her Gear Set you should trigger Combustion using Laevatain in order to benefit from Gear Set Effects.
Laevatain
Wulfgard
Akekuri
Antal
Another version of the team that uses Antal for slightly stronger buffs (Heat Amp and Heat Susceptibility), but much lower Sustain.
Laevatain
Wulfgard
Akekuri
Gilberta
This variation uses Gilberta for grouping and is recommended when dealing with multiple enemies at the same time.

Best Weapons and Gear
Weapons
- Best-in-Slot:
Forgeborn Scathe - Battlepass (F2P):
Umbral Torch - Not Recommended:
White Night Nova - Alt (F2P):
Fortmaker - Alt (F2P):
Wave Tide
Forgeborn Scathe is Leavatain’s Signature Weapon and it synergizes perfectly with her, as it gives a Basic Attack DMG% buff after using her Ultimate. It also includes a lot of Intellect, Attack and Heat DMG Bonus, all of these are stats that increase Leavatain’s Damage Output.
Umbral Torch is available F2P from the battlepass upon reaching level 40. It requires 29 Originite, which is refunded so long as you complete the battle pass. This is the second best weapon if you want to save your Arsenal Tickets for a future weapon.
White Nova is also available, but not recommended. In the meantime, simply use Wave Tide or Fortmaker until you are able to get Signature or Umbral Torch.
Gear Sets
- Gear Set:
Hot Work - Armor:
Tide Fall Light Armor - Gloves:
Hot Work Gauntlets - Kit 1:
Hot Work Pyrometer - Kit 2:
Hot Work Pyrometer
The 3pc Hot Work Gear Set gives Heat DMG for 8s after Leavatain triggers a Combustion. It’s a good option in case you are playing around Combustion, which means you need another element in your team or use her Battle Skill with 4 Melting Flames Stacks. Tide Fall Armor is there for Stats and Ultimate Generation Efficiency.
- Gear Set:
Tide Surge - Armor:
Tide Fall Light Armor - Gloves:
Eternal Xiranite Gloves - Kit 1:
Turbid Cutting Torch - Kit 2:
Turbid Cutting Torch
This is a niche alternative that requires stacking Heat Inflictions on enemies, meaning that you can’t trigger Combustion and order Arts Reactions while using this set. But this Gear Set allows Laevatain to maximize her Basic Attack Damage and Ultimate Gain Efficiency for better uptime on her Ultimate.
Skill Priority
Ultimate > Battle Skill > Basic Attack >= Combo Skill
Leavatain's Ultimate adds a lot of damage to her Battle Skill and also unlocks new Basic Attacks for her. These Basic Attacks scale with her Ultimate Level instead of the Basic Attack Level, so focus on her Ultimate first.
After this, level up Leavatain’s Battle Skill as it deals A LOT of damage, especially after stacking 4 Melting Flames. Leave Basic Attacks and Combo Skills for last, as the damage contribution of her Basics is not as good as other sources and her Combo Skill is mostly for the Melting Flame stacks, not the damage itself.
Potential
- P1 - Heart of Melting Flame
- P2 - Pursuit of Memories
- P3 - Fragments from the Past
- P4 - Ice Cream Furnace
- P5 - Proof of Existence
Leavatain’s Potential Improves her Basic Attacks, Enhanced Battle Skill and her Ultimate.
For her Enhanced Battle Skill, P1 increases the damage and SP recovery and P3 increases the Combustion Duration and Status Level.
P2 increases the damage of Basic Attacks and gives some Intellect for increased damage.
And for her Ultimate, P4 lowers the Energy Cost and P5 increases the damage and extends the duration after defeating enemies, but you’ll hardly notice this effect in single-target fights.
Keep in mind that vertically investing in Arknights Endfield is not recommended and you should treat these as a bonus damage for your Operator.
How to Play
Leavatain plays around Heat Inflictions and requires consuming multiple Heat Inflictions to increase her damage potential. This can be done by hitting enemies afflicted by Heat Infliction with any active operator Final Strike or Finisher, defeating enemies under Heat Inflictions or by hitting enemies with her Battle Skill or Combo Skill which triggers after an enemy suffers Combustion or Corrosion.
Hitting enemies with her Combo Skill or Battle Skill generates one point of Melting Flame. The Combo Skill also generates Ultimate Energy for Leavatain. Final Strikes and Finishers will consume Heat Inflictions from enemies to give Leavatain one stack of Melting Flame for every stack of Heat Infliction consumed. Melting Flame stacks up to 4 times and they have no use before hitting the maximum stacks, but once she gets the maximum number of stacks, Laevatein gets a Buff that allows her to ignore the enemy Heat Resistance for 20s.
Also, if Leavatain has 4 stacks before using her Battle Skill, she will consume all stacks to deal additional damage, apply Combustion to all enemies hit and gain additional Ultimate Energy.
Her Ultimate forces her to be the controlled Operator and enhances Laevatain for 15s, giving her new Basic Attacks and enhancing her Battle Skill to deal even more damage. Her Enhanced Basic Attack 3 also applies Heat Infliction to enemies, which makes it easier to stack Melting Flames or Arts Reactions on enemies.
Leavatain’s Ultimate unlocks a lot of extra damage to her, so it’s really important to play around her Combo Skill and Battle Skill for Ultimate Energy Generation. This means playing around Heat Inflictions, but Leavatain can’t do it by herself. Not even her Battle Skill applies Heat Infliction to enemies, and even at 4 stacks, it only applies Combustion to enemies. That’s why Leavatain requires specific Team Setups, so you can apply Heat Inflictions and Art Reactions to enemies through Combo Skills and Battle Skills in order to unlock her Full Damage.
