A self-reliant DPS, as expected from the Lone Wolf. You can either use units to increase his damage output or use him as a Sub-DPS for other teams.

Best Teams
Wulfgard
Perlica
Antal
Akekuri
F2P Friendly Team that uses Wulfgard as your main DPS. Perlica Combo Skill is easy to trigger and gives Electrification for Wulfgard’s Battle Skill. Antal increases both Heat and Electric Damage, and Akekuri can help with extra SPs. You can replace Akekuri with any other option between Ardelia (Good for Single Target), Gilberta (Good for AoE) or Arclight (more Electric Infliction means more Combustions).
Laevatain
Wulfgard
Akekuri
Ardelia
Laevatain Team that uses Wulfgard and Akekuri as a source of Heat Infliction for her. Ardelia is self-sufficient and synergizes with Laevatain, but you can replace her depending on your availability or use case. Antal is a great F2P option that increases everyone’s Damage. Gilberta is good for AoE. Perlica can apply Electrification to increase the Team Arts Damage.

Best Weapons and Gear
Weapons
- Best-in-Slot:
Clannibal - Alt:
Rational Farewell - Alt:
OBJ Velocitous (for Laevatain Teams)
Clannibal effects trigger after consuming an Arts Reaction from the enemy, which synergizes perfectly with Wulfgard Battle Skill. It gives a lot Strength, ATK% and Increases the Art DMG Taken by targets after consuming Arts Reactions from them. It’s the best option for Wulfgard as a Main DPS, but if you are using Wulfgard as a Sub-DPS/Enabler for other Teams, there are better options for him.
Rational Farewell is a great option that doesn’t rely on consuming Arts Reactions from enemies. It still requires triggering an Arts Burst or Combustion using his Combo Skill.
OBJ Velocitous is the best option for
Laevatain teams. You're not going to consume Arts Reactions to make use of
Clannibal and while you can make use of
Rational Farewell for increased damage,
Wulfgard damage contribution is not that huge. This makes
OBJ Velocitous an amazing option due to the Ultimate Gain Efficiency it provides. The forced Combustion is extremely valuable and at Potential 5, casting his Ultimate resets the cooldown of the Combo Skill, which means even more Heat Inflictions for Laevatain. It's important to note that
OBJ Velocitous by itself is not enough to hit any breakpoint for his Ultimate gain, and you should also adjust the gear to maximize the Ultimate Gain Efficiency.
Main DPS
- Gear Set:
Hot Work - Armor:
Hot Work Exoskeleton - Gloves:
Hot Work Gauntlets - Kit 1:
Hot Work Power Bank - Kit 2:
Bonekrusha Mask
When playing Wulfgard as your Main DPS, Hot Work will be the best option for him, as you'll apply a lot of combustions through Heat Inflictions and his Ultimate. Great for damage potential, but if you're not planning to invest too much on
Wulfgard, and you're mostly using him as a battery for your
Laevatain, it might be better to focus on Ultimate Gain Efficiency instead.
Full Ultimate Gain Efficiency
- Gear Set: None
- Armor:
Tide Fall Light Armor - Gloves:
LYNX Gloves - Kit 1:
Redeemer Seal - Kit 2:
Redeemer Seal
With enough Ultimate Gain Efficiency,
Wulfgard can use his Ultimate to trigger
Laevatain's Combo Skill much more often, which makes the team rotation much more consistent and adds more damage to Laevatain. Might get replaced in the future, as new Weapons or Gear Sets release, but as of now, this is the best gear approach for Wulfgard.
Skill Priority
Battle Skill > Basic Attack > Combo Skill = Ultimate
As a DPS, all of Wulfgard Skills should be leveled up to maximize his damage potential, but the Battle Skill is your main source of damage on Wulfgard, so leveling it up first is ideal. Combo Skill and Ultimate come next, but these are mostly used to apply Arts Reactions, and not exactly for their Damage, so level your Basics first.
Potential
- P1 Lone Wolf
- P2 Firearm Mods
- P3 Hunting Hour
- P4 Will of the Pack
- P5 Natural Predator
Wulfgard Potentials has a weird start, but they quickly increase in value as you get extra copies.
Potential 1 gives some stats, nothing to talk about here.
Potential 2 improves his 2nd Combat Talent to return even more SP for Wulfgard after consuming an Arts Reaction from the enemy. Great if you’re playing him as a Main DPS, otherwise not so useful.
Potential 3 is amazing, both for Main DPS or Sub-DPS Wulfgard. It refreshes the effects of his 1st Combat Talent after consuming an Arts Reaction from the enemy, but also grants all other allies half of this effect.
Potential 4 reduces the Ultimate Energy Cost, increasing your damage and the frequency you apply Combustion to enemies.
Potential 5 is insane. It resets the cooldown of your combo skill after using his Ultimate, which allows you to apply Heat Infliction to enemies once again. Useful for any situation, just remember to use his Combo Skill before resetting for extra damage and another Heat Infliction.
Keep in mind that vertically investing in Arknights Endfield is not recommended and you should treat these as a bonus damage/utility for your Operator.
How to Play
Wulfgard is amazing, really. He can either apply Heat Infliction or Consume Combustion or Electrification to deal increased damage with his Battle Skill. Combo Skill Trigger is really generic, any Arts Infliction is enough to trigger it and apply Heat Infliction to enemies, making it easier to trigger an Art Reaction or further stacks of Heat Infliction. Ultimate deals great damage and forces Combustion to enemies, which is exactly what Wulfgard needs for another burst of damage on his Battle Skill.
All of his kit synergizes perfectly and his Combat Talent increases this even further, as Wulfgard gets increased Heat DMG after applying Combustion to enemies, something that both his Combo Skill and Ultimate offers to him. But there’s more: His Second Combat Talent further enhances his Battle Skill to return SP after consuming Combustion or Electrification.
You want to use him as a DPS? Use characters that can apply any Infliction (besides Heat) to trigger his Combo Skill and enjoy easy combustions for your Battle Skill.
But what if you’re using him as a Sub-DPS for someone else that requires Heat Infliction? Well, nothing changes, just make sure Wulfgard is not using his Battle Skill against an enemy suffering from Combustion or Electrification and he will apply Heat Infliction instead.
Release Date
Wulfgard will release on January 22nd, 2026 along with the release of Arknights: Endfield.
