Build Overview

Gun Gal Vex!

40s BLOOMREAPER KILL UVH6 TRUE MODE

This is a Vex gun build that offers many flexible options and approaches that can suit your preferred style of gunplay. Bleed or no bleed, kill skills or no kill skills, Incarnate, Dead Ringer. Pick your poison.

Gun Gal & Rainbow Gal

These variants abdicate most kill skills in favor of stacking passive damage boosts to hit big numbers without needing to play around Mortal Terror. Their focus is on bursty kinetic damage and Bloodletter, but any kinetic weaponry is valid, from the slow and precise to the fast-firing, or any mix of the two.

Kill Skill Gal

The kill skill variants can essentially use any good gun in the game without restrictions, but are less bursty in terms of upfront damage, being instead DPS and ramp-up focused. They have significantly higher peaks.

  • Main variants are focused on Kinetic weaponry. Can use elemental weapons but ideally through quick swaps

Build Variants

Kill Skill Gal has full flexibility between Incarnate and Dead Ringer while playing to the strengths of kill skill Vex. Focuses on high fire rate and high amount of damage instances to maximize the trigger rates of Mortal Terror, guaranteeing excellent kill skill uptimes and DPS.

  • Any good gun is usable for mobbing, just be mindful that of course not everything will have good Mortal Terror trigger rates for bossing, but Dead Ringer can make up for it depending on the case.

You can experiment freely with the points in Sanguine Fiends, Grave Assault, Grave Fiends and Target Prescience. A great alternate route is going:

  • 5/5 Enchantment
  • 5/5 Mourning
  • 4/5Target Prescience
  • This locks you to Incarnate, but provides significant boosts and QOL.

Action Skill: Incarnate or Dead Ringer

You can experiment freely with the points in Sanguine Fiends, Grave Assault, Grave Fiends and Target Prescience to your liking. A great alternate route is going:

  • 5/5 Grave Sustenance
  • 5/5 Enchantment
  • 5/5 Mourning
  • 4/5Target Prescience
  • This locks you to Incarnate, but provides significant boosts and QOL.

Vexcalation

Witchy Trigger Finger and Vibe Check

  • Witchy Trigger Finger is a massive QOL that lets many reloads be skipped, and also gets six stacks of 15% Gun Damage when using Grave Power, for some reason.
  • Vibe Check quickly stacks Witchy Trigger Finger.
  • You have the option of using Grave Harvest if you want incarnate mobbing uptime to be better.

Guns and Needles

  • More frequent repkit usage makes everything smoother. Can cooldown our repkits even while they're active, causing them to be ready to use whenever their effects end.

Drink Full

  • More brrr. More DPS.

Grave Sights, Grave Implements,Grave Power and Mortal Terror

  • Massive accuracy and damage boosts from kill skills that cover all needs of the On-Hit part of the damage formula.
  • Mortal Terror is an essential skill for sustaining kill skill stacks against bosses.

Essence Leech, Blood Is Power and Teen Witch

  • Blood Is Power and lifesteal investments result in a very large Kinetic Bonus Element. The Teen Witch COM will add a further 10% that gets tripled into the bonus element, and any more you get from kills if it has a Grave Thirst roll.

The Fourth Seal

Dead Ringer and Coven

  • Specters with Coven are excellent at triggering Mortal Terror, with greatly increased effectiveness too thanks to Prismatic Weaponry.
  • Reapers have a very powerful taunt effect, keep that in mind since it might come in handy sometimes to spawn one.

Idle Hands

  • Great DPS boost for a very low cost, and easy to maintain.

Grave Assault

  • More brrr. More DPS. Specters firing faster also means quicker Mortal Terror procs.

Grave Fiends

  • Big soup with long duration.

Prismatic Weaponry

  • This bonus element benefits from both Gun Damage and Skill Damage, meaning it benefits 1.5x from Grave Implements when using I Am A Gun.
  • It is also considered a valid new source for Mortal Terror procs, from either Vex or Specters.

WEAPONS

Any good weapons can be worth trying. These are simply some favorites.

Darkbeast

Highly powerful and comfy gun that can work for a variety of scenarios and has nice licensed parts.

  • Jakobs (Ricochet Accessory) is extremely useful and powerful for mobbing.
  • Daedalus (Underbarrel/Multi-Loader) Shotgun mode is a very strong option that can quickly nuke dangerous enemies.
  • Ripper (Charge Mag) can be nice too, especially for bossing DPS.

Ohm I Got

Extremely powerful weapon. The downsides are completely negated by Teen Witch.

  • Ripper (Charge Mag) is nice and grants it access to Ripper enhancements.

Stray

Turn brain off and hold the fire button. Tracking makes this a very easy to use gun.

  • Jakobs (Ricochet Accessory) is essential to make this reach its full potential.
  • Daedalus (Underbarrel/Multi-Loader) firing modes, like Shotgun, can be very powerful and grant access to the Bullet Fabricator Daedalus Enhancement, which is effectively ammo regen.

Complex Root

Excellent bossing weapon.

  • Atlas (Dart Underbarrel) and Jakobs (Ricochet Accessory) can make this a very efficient bossing monster, while also getting access to many good enhancements.

T.K's Wave

Extremely high base damage. Access to a lot of licenses.

  • Atlas (Grenade Underbarrel) or Atlas (Dart Underbarrel) on one of these can make bossing with them very fun and easy.
  • Torgue (Sticky Mag) is excellent, can spawn alongside the Atlas licenses and makes for good Enhancement synergies. Very easily used with Witchy Trigger Finger.
  • Torgue (Impact Mag) is very nice when paired with Torgue enhancements like Pumper.
  • Ripper (Charge Mag) can also be very strong.

Jakobs Shotgun

Epic Rarity Jakobs Shotguns are very fun and good weapons. Balor gets very high damage and pellet count, while Dullahan can roll the strongest version of the Spread Launcher underbarrel.

  • Spread Launcher underbarrel is an obvious pick that can trivialize any encounter.
  • Daedalus (Underbarrel/Multi-Loader) Sniper Mode on Balor is very nice.
  • Hot Slugger is a great option and has some chunky bleeds.

Seventh SenseRouletteShalashaska

  • Seventh Sense with Daedalus (Underbarrel/Multi-Loader) 'Sniper Mode' or 'Shotgun Mode' is a comfy gun that is powerful and feels nice to use.
  • Roulette with Jakobs (Ricochet Accessory) and Torgue (Impact Mag) is amazing for mobbing, while one with Ripper (Charge Mag Override) can be an insane boss melter.
  • Shalashaska is another excellent option. Look for Torgue (Impact Mag) alongside Shotgun Mode.

Other weapon options include:

REPKIT

War Paint, Order Repkit, Triple Bypass are all good choices of Repkit with their own relative strengths.

Look for these effects, or combinations of them if applicable:

  • Amp (Amplified)
  • Enrage (Experimental)
  • Reload Speed (Dextrous)
  • Fire Rate (Spasmodic)
  • Accelarator (Adrenalized)
    • Note: 'Leech' (Lifesteal) Repkits do not apply to Blood Is Power.

ORDNANCE

'Crit Knife' Jakobs Grenade is free damage for bossing.

Countermeasure, Waterfall, Blockbuster, Skully, Firepot and Slippy are fun options for mobbing.

Torgue Heavy Weapon and Maliwan Heavy Weapon are great picks that have good High Caliber synergy if you ever use that firmware.

CLASS MOD

Stat rolls to look out for on any Class Mod are:

  • Gun Crit Chance
    • Useful for Mortal Terror
  • Gun Damage
  • Fire Rate
  • Reload Speed

Teen Witch

This class mod does a lot of heavy lifting, sustaining our health, shields, amp and further boosting Blood Is Power through its passive Lifesteal.

For skill rolls, prioritize:

  • +5 Grave Thirst; +2 Corporeal or +2 Conjunction
    • Extremely powerful roll due to Grave Thirst feeding into Blood Is Power.

SHIELD

Watts 4 Dinner

  • With 150% Amp, this is our main option.

Guardian Angel

  • With 150% Amp, this is an option with a defensive fallback.

Super Soldier

  • Decently fun choice, but will hardly ever outpace the Amp shields.

Firewerks

  • Can make mobbing an even further cakewalk because the missiles are gun damage, will inherit our bonus elements and will wipe mobbing sections on their own.

ENHANCEMENT

The baseline for enhancements is: match your enhancement to you weapons or licenses.

You will inevitably run into overlaps between manufacturers and licenses, where guns will fit any of the enhancements. You will have to judge for yourself what fits best in that case, since I cannot really cover for every possibility here. So, experiment with stuff, that how one finds out cool things anyway!

Stat rolls to look out for on any Enhancement are:

  • Gun / Gun Type Damage
  • Gun / Gun Type Crit Damage
  • Gun / Gun Type Equip Speed (works on mode switches too)
  • Gun / Gun Type Fire Rate
  • Gun / Gun Type Reload Speed
  • Gun / Gun Type Magazine Size

Some weapons will benefit more from something like mag size, others not much. Apply your own judgement.

Multistrike | Quintain | Piercer Jakobs Enhancement

  • Great for Jakobs or Jakobs-licensed guns. Multistrike has the highest potential damage. Quintain has nice utility.

Pumper |Studfinder | Head Ringer Torgue Enhancement

  • Great for torgue or torgue-licensed guns. These can go very well with either Gyrojets or Stickies.
    • The Air Burst effect is extremely powerful for mobbing and against Vile/Ordonite enemies. Don't sleep on it.

Combo | Nexus | Junction

  • These can be nice for bossing with Atlas-licensed guns. Also pretty nice for sticky weapons that have Atlas license.

Disruptor | Binger | High Roller | Short Circuit Ripper Enhancement

  • Good options for any ripper or ripper-licensed weaponry.

Hephaestian | Gatherer | Scion

  • Great for Daedalus and Daedalus-licensed weapons, like a Stray with Daedalus Mode Switch.

Hero of Bullet | Dog Movement | Bullet Hose | Underdog Vladof Enhancement

  • Good for Vladof weapons and Vladof weapons that have any underbarrel/mode switch attachment, doesn't matter which manufacturer's, the enhancement effect will apply as long as the gun itself is a Vladof.

2/3 Deadeye; 2/3 High Caliber; 1/3 Heating Up or 1/3 Bullets to Spare

  • Balanced do-it-all approach. No mechanics just pure passive boosts.

3/3 Deadeye; 2/3 High Caliber

  • General setup for maximum damage per-shot, however it might not always outpace the higher QOL and effects of the others, due to the damage boost from Deadeye being added to an already overloaded pool.

3/3 High Caliber; 2/3 Deadeye

  • The piercing effect is nice when paired with splash weapons, since you can shoot through enemies for a double hit once the splash hits the ground.

3/3 Daed-dy O; 2/3 High Caliber or 2/3 Deadeye or 2/3 Atlas Infinum

  • Very nice setup for weapons that have mode/underbarrel switches, like Bonnie and Clyde, Rooker, Atlas trackers, Stickies, Daedalus switches etc.

Kill Skill Gal

CQC | Riddle You This | Now With Caffeine | Bullet Train

  • CQC can be triggered with manual melee or by Slippy from range.
    • The Best Defense, In The Zone and Groundbreaker are valid replacements should you not like it.
  • Riddle You This is simply free damage.
  • Now With Caffeine helps with Incarnate uptime.
  • Bullet Train is great QOL for quick-paced gun builds due to the sprint-shooting.

Gameplay

Pop your Repkit of choice and slaughter! It cannot be more straighforward. Aim for crits where feasible to maximize your Mortal Terror triggers.

Get a feel for the good guns. Some will be great at both bossing and mobbing, while others may be good at only one the two things.
