Borderlands 4Vault Hunters

In Borderlands 4 you can choose to play one out of four characters, aka Vault Hunters. While there are only 4 Vault Hunters to choose from, the variety of playstyles and weapon combinations create what almost seems like an endless exploration for each Hunter. You choose one Vault Hunter, and choose one out of three unique possible Action Skills your Hunter can have. Depending on your choice, the Action Skill will come with its own skill tree, allowing you to play it in different ways. On top of that, every single Hunter is able to carry all types of Weapons and create custom Weapons from parts of various Manufacturers, creating a complex but extremely customizable experience.

Vex - The Siren

Vex is a flexible summoner with supernatural energy that lets her bring spectral beings to life! Much like you would play a Necromancer type, her focus lies mainly in the summoning of Minions, dealing kinetic damage whilst also being able to get through enemies solo with no minions - by transforming herself instead, and gaining Lifesteal amongst other special effects.
Her special trait Phase Covenant makes her a highly adaptable Hunter by automatically matching the damage from her abilities to the elemental type of the gun she's currently equipped with.


Her Action Skills are:

Phase Phamiliar - You summon your favourite pet Trouble that fights alongside you, functioning as another damage output whilst also being your own little tank that enemies will attack.

Dead Ringer - You can choose to summon one of two Phase Clone Minion types, a Reaper that deals Melee damage or a Specter that deals gun damage.

Incarnate - You transform yourself into a spectral being, gaining special effects like Lifesteal, AOE-damage or Movement Speed for the duration of your ability.

Rafa - The Exo-Soldier

Rafa is a fast and powerful damage dealer with a sometimes chaotic but aggressive playstyle.
He's able to execute enemies at all ranges - dealing explosive damage from far away, shooting down multiple enemies at the same time in mid-range and slicing through bodies with insane melee Damage.
All while being able to move faster than others with his Trait Overdrive , which allows him to gain movement speed and extra damage whenever he activates a skill.


His Action Skills are:

Peacebreaker Cannons - Attach cannons on your shoulders that fire automatically at enemies that are in your crosshair.

APOPHIS Lance - Equips Rafa's offhand arm with a Cannon. The longer you hold before you shoot, the greater the damage.

Arc-Knives - Drop your guns and switch to giant blades that turn you into a melee Vault Hunter for the duration of the Skill, marking enemies and dealing increased damage.

Amon - The Forgeknight

Amon plays very much like a Tank, but expands the role and abilities of a traditional one. His complex forging skills allow him to change his defense into an offense - turning regeneration into powerful punches, shields into damaging waves and even axes into drones.
With his trait Forgeskill, he's able to give any Action Skill additional abilities, creating a constant flow of action.


His Action Skills are:

Onslaughter- Gain Shield regeneration while charging a rocket punch that you can dash to enemy targets with.
In combination with Forgeskill: Slam a molten hammer into the ground, dealing AOE-damage and damage over time.

Scourge - Brings out a shield that absorbs damage. After a certain amount of damage absorbed, you can send out a huge damage dealing wave into the enemies.
In combination with Forgeskill: You can summon a Firewall that blocks enemy projectiles and boosts damage done by allied projectiles that shot through. Enemies walking near or through the wall will take damage over time.

Crucible - Yield two axes! One that does damage over time and the other one slows/freezes enemies. You can either throw them and detonate enemies when they die, or use the axes for melee attack action.
In combination with Forgeskill: You can throw out your axes and turn them into flying axe-drones that will chase down and attack enemies.

Harlowe - The Gravitar

Harlowe is a utility mastermind and loves everything crowd control and supportive combat. With her control over gravity she's able to slow enemies down, freeze them or buff her allies abilities and spread gun damage dealt by her and her allies amongst enemies.
Her trait Entangled basically marks enemies caught by her action skills and passes the damage dealt to one entangled enemy, onto the next.


Her Action Skills are:

CHROMA Accelerator - Fire a sphere of energy that slows enemies who come in contact with it. You can also cause it to explode and deal damage immediately.

Zero-Point - Trap an enemy inside a sphere where they cant move for a small duration. You can also slam them into the ground, creating a small explosion.

Flux Generator - Create an energy field wherever you throw it to entangle enemies and shield allies.
