The last major Update for Monster Hunter Wilds is releasing on February 18th, 2026, featuring Arch-Tempered Akrveld, 10-star quests, and new event quests, among other things.

Anniversary Event
From February 18th to March 19th, an Anniversary Event will be held, featuring all past Seasonal Festivals in a weekly rotation. Hunters who missed out on time-limited rewards have a chance to get them again.
Additionally, logging into the game during this period will receive a free item pack.
Arch-Tempered Arkveld
Arch-tempered Arkveld will be available on February 18th as a 10-star quest, which will give hunters a bigger challenge than anything seen before.
Players who defeat Arch-Tempered Arkveld will be able to forge the Arvkeld gamma armor set and palico armor.
A free challenge quest featuring AT Arkveld will also be available for a limited time from March 19th to April 1st, possibly rewarding players with exclusive pendants based on their quest completion time.
10-Star Quests
All four previous Arch-Tempered Monsters (Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, and Jin Dahaad) will show up in new 10-star quests. Completing 10-star quests will award Timeworn Charms, which have a higher chance of yielding Rarity 8 talismans, as well as Battle-tempered Emblems, which can be used to reinforce Gogma Artian weapons.
Additionally, a new quest “Proof of a Hero” will be available, featuring 4 monsters in the Wounded Hollow: Players will have to defeat the Arch-Tempered versions of Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, and Arkveld.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 Collaboration
A new collab side mission will be made available on February 18th, in which players must help Rudy, a royal Palico, gather monster eggs. If your Hunter Rank (HR) is 9 or higher, you'll find an NPC named Sole at the Scarlet Forest base camp with a new side mission for you.
Players can obtain the Rudy alpha Palico equipment, Hunter profile background, poses, and nameplate, and Monstie themed pendants featuring Rathian, Rey Dau, Chatacabra, and Gravios.
New side mission featuring Nadia
Players can partake in a new side mission featuring the support hunter Nadia to obtain her clothing, as well as blob-themed pendants. This side quest will be available on February 25th.
Original Weapon and Pendant Design Contest winners
Complete the event quest “Every Hunter's Dream”, available on February 18th, to obtain the Design Contest winners: The Shatterseal Greatsword and the Meatmergency! pendant.
New Event Quests
Just what the Doctor ordered: 10-star Rompopolo
A 10-star event quest featuring Rompopolo will be available for a limited time from February 28th to March 19th. Completing it will award players with Battle-tempered Emblems, which can be used for smelting, melting, or upgrading (including Gogma Artian weapons), as well as a Rompopolo-themed pendant, and two versions of a Rompopolo mask.
Razzle Dazzle Frazzle: Gala Suit armor
Available from February 28th onward, this event quest featuring Rey Dau and Gypceros will award players with the Gala Suit armor and Felyne Star equipment.
Upcoming event quests
New unannounced event quests will be released on March 4th and March 12th.
Expansion confirmed
A new large-scale expansion is in development for Monster Hunter Wilds. More information will be shared in the summer.
This expansion is expected to introduce a new story, Master Rank quests, new monsters, equipment, and maps.
New language: Latin American Spanish
A new voice language option will be released alongside the February 18th update, allowing players play the game in Latin American Spanish.
Free Character & Palico edit voucher
One Character & Palico edit voucher will be distributed for free with the update. You can redeem it in your platform’s DLC store once the update goes live.
Optimization Improvements
The February 18th update brings optimization improvements for all platforms, including further CPU/GPU optimization, and measures to reduce GPU processing load by adding quality levels (LOD) to the polygon mesh for 3D models.
