To reach max level fast in Aion 2, prioritize your Episode quests, use Regional quests to fill your Ascension gauge when progression stops, and return to the main story as soon as you can. Your target is level 45, so you do not need to clear every optional activity along the way.
In this guide, we will cover which quests to prioritize, how to reduce travel time and which upgrades help you level without using up resources you will want later.
If you are still learning the game’s systems, our Aion 2 beginner guide covers useful early steps.

Prioritize Episode and Regional Quests
Your main story quests are listed as Episode quests in the Journal. Press J with the default PC controls to open it and check your next objective.
Keep these quests as your main priority. They provide experience while unlocking more of the game, allowing you to continue into higher-level content. Side activities have useful rewards, but completing everything in each area will slow down a run focused on reaching level 45.
Fill Your Ascension Gauge
At certain points, your Episode progress stops until you fill the Ascension gauge. When this happens:
Open the Journal and look for Regional quests close to your current level.
Prioritize the higher-level quests available to you for better experience rewards.
Complete nearby Sealed Dungeons if you need another way to fill the gauge.
Once the gauge reaches 100%, use the quest’s Teleport button to continue the Ascension objective and return to your Episode quests.
Look for Sealed Dungeons among the question-mark locations on your map. You do not need to finish every remaining Regional quest before moving on; once you can continue the story, make that your priority again.
Complete Overlapping Quests Together
Regional quests can also be worth doing before you reach an Ascension requirement if their objectives overlap with your Episode quest.
When you find one along your route, accept it and check where it sends you. If both quests involve the same area or enemies, you can work on them together with little extra travel.
The aim is to pick up convenient rewards while staying on your story route. Leave quests that send you far out of the way for later.
Save Odyle Energy While Leveling
Work towards the story quest that unlocks Expeditions, around level 22. Completing this unlock starts your Odyle Energy regeneration, letting it build up while you continue leveling.
Odyle Energy is spent when claiming the reward cube at the end of an Expedition. Its regeneration and storage limits are:
Regeneration: 15 energy every three hours.
Without membership: A maximum of 560 energy.
With membership: A maximum of 840 energy.
Level-45 Expedition cube claims cost 40 energy, so saving it gives you more rewards to claim when you reach that stage.
You will need to complete some Expeditions for the main story, but you do not need to claim every optional cube reward afterwards. Early dungeon equipment can be replaced quickly, making those claims a lower priority when you are leveling efficiently.
Complete the required story objectives and save your energy for useful level-45 rewards. If you take several days to level, keep an eye on the cap, as regeneration stops when your energy is full.
Travel Faster Between Quests
Travel takes up a large part of the leveling process, so check how to reach your next objective before setting off.
Activate nearby teleport points. Binding to them as you pass gives you more options when later quests send you back through an area.
Teleport when it saves a long journey. Check whether an unlocked point is close to your next objective.
Fly when the route allows it. Flying can cover suitable routes faster than running, although your flight energy is limited.
Teleport out of completed instances when available. Avoid retracing the entire route just to leave.
Keeping your character strong helps you clear quest enemies faster. Focus on upgrades that continue to benefit your character as you progress.
Upgrade Skills, Stigmas and Daevanion
Spend your available skill points and check your Stigma skills as they become available. Keeping the abilities you use upgraded can make combat quicker throughout the leveling process.
Check your Daevanion boards too. Their nodes provide attribute bonuses and can increase skill levels, giving you more ways to improve your damage. Review the boards you have unlocked instead of leaving available points unused.
Avoid Overinvesting in Temporary Gear
You will replace much of your early equipment as you progress, so avoid heavily enhancing every new piece. Make useful upgrades when you need them, but keep your spending focused on equipment that will help you for more than a few quests.
Keep Power Shards switched off during easy leveling content if you want to preserve your supply. They can be consumed quickly, so save them for encounters where the extra damage is useful. Use the Power Shard control on your action bar to toggle them when needed.
Leave Extended Pet Farming for Later
Pets provide useful character bonuses, but fully developing them can become a lengthy detour. A regular pet needs 105 souls in total to reach its maximum collection level, so stopping to finish each one will delay your main story progress.
Collect convenient unlocks as you go and leave extended soul farming until level 45, when your stronger character can clear enemies faster.
Once you reach level 45, our Aion 2 item level guide can help you choose your next upgrades. Until then, keep your Episode quests moving, clear Ascension requirements when they appear and save the longer collection grinds for later.
