Improving your Aion 2 endgame gear means choosing stats that suit your build and investing in equipment you expect to keep. Soul Binding and transfers help you improve those pieces, while Manastones and crafted upgrades give you further ways to strengthen your setup.
In this guide, we will cover useful endgame stats, how to approach Soul Binding and transfers, and where to invest your upgrade materials.
If you are still working towards dungeon entry requirements, our Aion 2 gear score guide covers the earlier upgrades and equipment progression.
A huge thank you to Ulfhednar for sharing his Aion 2 endgame gearing tips!
Check an item’s stat lines before deciding whether it is an upgrade. Your priorities depend on your class and role, so consider the bonuses your build needs before spending materials on rerolls.
For a damage-focused setup, useful stats to review include:
Combat Speed: An important bonus to look for when improving the pace of your combat.
Accuracy: Worth paying attention to as you prepare for harder PvE encounters.
Critical Hit: Another offensive option to compare alongside your other damage bonuses.
Might: A valuable damage-related stat to consider when it supports your build.
Double Chance: Available on pieces such as your headpiece and cloak.
Open your character panel with the default P keybind to review your current stats and their descriptions. When targeting a particular line through Sync, check the displayed roll probabilities first. Rare outcomes can take a considerable number of attempts.
Look for Useful Skill and Passive Levels
Equipment can also increase the levels of skills and passives. Choose bonuses that support the abilities you actually use.
For example, useful Gladiator passives include Impact Hit (Gladiator), Attack Preparation (Gladiator)andExperienced Counterstrike. Other classes should choose the passives relevant to their own setup.
Active skill ranks can appear on rings, your weapon and your guard, giving you another source of skill levels alongside Arcana Cards. Check the combined bonuses across your equipment when deciding which piece to replace.
Open Enhancement, select Soul Binding, and choose the item you want to improve. The menu includes Bind, Sync and Reset, which serve different purposes when developing its stats.
Sync Individual Stat Lines
Use Sync when you want to reroll a particular stat line. This lets you target an unwanted bonus on an otherwise useful piece of equipment.
When rerolling legendary equipment, each Sync attempt requires an eligible legendary item as material. Repeated attempts can become expensive, especially when the outcome you want has a low probability.
Before using a spare item, check whether its own rolls would make it worth equipping or using for a transfer.
Raise the Soul Binding Rate with Bind
Bind increases the Soul Binding rate, improving the values of the item’s existing stats.
Save this investment until you are happy with the stat lines on a piece you intend to keep. Getting suitable bonuses first gives you a better foundation for the materials you spend increasing their values.
Save Rare Reset Materials
The Reset option rerolls all of an item’s Soul Binding stat lines. It uses rare reset books, so avoid spending these on temporary equipment.
A crafted item you expect to keep is a stronger candidate for that investment. Decide whether the item is worth developing before committing a limited reset resource.
Transfer Useful Stats Between Items
The Transfer option lets you move eligible stats from a source item onto the equipment you want to keep. The source can be an old equipped item or a new drop with better rolls.
To prepare a transfer:
Open the Transfer menu and select the item that will receive the stats.
Choose the source item with the bonuses you want.
Review the resulting stats and material requirements in the preview.
Obtain the required Transfer Stones through Substance Morph.
Confirm that the transfer produces the setup you want before completing it.
Craft Transfer Stones through Substance Morph. Check the recipe for the eligible equipment or materials it requires, then confirm the number of stones shown in your transfer preview before spending materials.
Keep promising drops until you have compared their stat lines. An item that you would not equip directly may still be useful as a source for a transfer.
Invest Manastones in Gear You Expect to Keep
Use your more valuable Superior Manastones on equipment that is likely to stay in your setup.
Item level 86 armor and guards from Ferocious Den, along with suitable crafted equipment, are examples to consider. Compare them with your planned upgrades before spending heavily, since how long a piece lasts depends on your progression.
Useful Manastone rolls can improve both gear score and Combat Power. Offensive stats tend to give larger Combat Power gains, but choose bonuses that support your build’s performance.
Use Eligible Rewards from Your Alts
Alternate characters can provide additional Manastone resources through Ascension Trial rewards.
Eligible Manastone reward boxes can be moved through server storage, even when their description includes a Bound label. Check whether the box can be deposited before opening it on the alt, then collect it on the character that needs the reward.
Eligible pet rewards from Ascension Trial can also help your main through the same storage route.
Craft the Abyssal Bracelet
The Abyssal Bracelet is an upgrade to work towards when replacing your blue bracelet. You can craft it once you have collected the required Ludra raid rewards.
Open Substance Morph, select Gear, and choose Abyssal Bracelet. Crafting it requires:
3 Ludra Gear Vouchers (Bound)
5,000,000 Kina
Collect the vouchers through Ludra and set aside the Kina needed to complete the craft.
Craft Arcana That Supports Your Main Skill
Open Arcana, then Transmute, to find Chalice of Vigor. Its PvE damage focus makes it an option for improving a damage build, while its Time stat provides Combat Speed.
You can choose a main skill for the card. For a Gladiator built around Overhead Slam, that is a useful selection. The card also receives three random additional skill or passive outcomes, so the complete result can vary.
The craft requires 2 million Kina and five Mysterious Crystals.
Collect Mysterious Crystals
Work towards the required crystals through these sources:
Season shop: One crystal is available from the relevant shop listing.
Season challenge rewards: Three crystals can be collected across the reward milestones by reaching 4,000 score.
Arcana extraction: Extract unwanted cards to obtain the remaining crystal.
Keep cards that still help your build before committing them to extraction.
For the wider systems that improve your character alongside equipment, our Aion 2 Combat Power guide covers skills, pets, wings and other permanent bonuses.
Start with the piece or card that offers your next useful improvement. Settle on the bonuses you want, then commit your rarer materials to equipment you expect to keep.
