How To Play Seraphine in Swarm Operation Anima Squad

Seraphine is one of the 9 champions you can play in League of Legends’ latest game mode. Swarm is going to be released onto the live servers very shortly, and in this game mode, you can play alone or with others and face off against waves of enemies.

As suggested, in this game mode, there are a total of 9 playable champions. These champions are Jinx, Seraphine, Aurora, Illaoi, Leona, Xayah, Yasuo, Riven and Briar. However, you can also find other champions spring up in the game mode too, like Yuumi, but unfortunately, she is unplayable.

Each champion in this game mode has 2 abilities, and each champion’s play style is slightly different to how they’re played on Summoners Rift. We will be creating articles to help everyone out by breaking down each champion in the new game mode. You can check the rest of the champions out by heading over to the Mobalytics Blog.

How To Unlock Seraphine in Swarm

If you enjoy playing Seraphine in either the Mid or Support roles in League of Legends and perhaps you’re like my good friend who loves Seraphine, you’re in luck! Seraphine is one of the starting champions in Swarm. Seraphine and Jinx are the starting champions in Swarm, so you do not need to play countless games on other champions to unlock them.

However, to unlock some other champions in this game, you do need to play a lot and complete specific missions, but we will talk about that in the future.

Seraphine Swarm Abilities

In Swarm, Seraphine has 3 Spells. They’re pretty similar to her Spells in League of Legends, and her gameplay is actually quite similar, too. There are 3 “spells” for each champion in Swarm. Each champion starts with their Passive, and at level 3, they unlock their first ability. Once you hit level 6, you will unlock your third ability.

Seraphine’s Swarm Spells

To start with, Seraphine’s Passive is Stage Presence. With her Passive, she has an additional chance to multicast her projectiles.

For her Active Spell, which she unlocks at level 3, she gets Surround Sound. Surround Sound grants a shield and movement speed. If you’re playing with friends, these buffs will also apply to her allies.

Her Ultimate is called The Perfect Note. Seraphine halts all enemies and protects her allies with invulnerability. It also deals damage and pushes back all enemies it collides with.

Augments and Upgrades

In this section, I will only talk about early-game upgrades. You will unlock different upgrades the more you play.

Like most champions in Swarm, you’ll want to focus on upgrading those weapons first. The weapons will help her deal damage and also help her when she gets in those tough spots. Weapons that are good on Seraphine are ones that increase her projectile output.

My favorite ones for her are Gatling Bunny Guns, as they help with close combat. UwU Blaster is also another good option for her, as it offers her more protection in close combat fights where the enemies are on top of her.

If there are no good weapons, then take things that reduce her cooldowns, let her throw out more projectiles, or anything to help her with the ability spam. This is also really important if you’re playing with allies, as you can keep them topped up with your shield spell.

Seraphine Swarm Tips and Tricks

Seraphine doesn’t deal a lot of damage early on, so to make it easier for you, make sure you get some AOE weapons. They will be really important to help you kill the big monsters that drop cards and empowerments.

It is going to be difficult, but try to pivot as much as possible when trying to kill the monsters that drop cards. It will be slow, but your projectiles can stack up if you aim them right.

As your E has a relatively low cooldown, try to spam it whenever it is up. This will be especially helpful when you’re trying to escape sticky or dangerous situations. It is quite spamable compared to your Ultimate.

Limit using your Ultimate unless there aren’t any big monsters spawning. Use it on large hoards of monsters, and try to use it when you’re entirely surrounded by monsters. The more monsters you hit with your Ultimate, the better.

In Conclusion

And that about sums up this article on Seraphine for Swarm. What do you think about Seraphine? I think she is quite easy and quite forgiving too as she can spam those shields. However, I feel that she does less damage than Jinx and it is harder for the Seraphine to take down those big monsters and objectives. It feels like it takes an eternity to destroy them!
