Build Overview

Here's my guide for my Ancestral Commander Cyclone League Starter to Endgame Build for Patch 3.27 Legacy of Phrecia!

In 3.27, Cyclone, Cyclone of Tumult, and Vaal Cyclone all got a 20% MORE Damage Buff which took the already solid build up another notch! It has great Clear Speed thanks to the AOE from Cyclone of Tumult, great Defenses thanks to Endurance Charge Stacking + Mini Defiance of Destiny, and great Bossing Damage to allow you to do nearly everything the game has to offer!

The build is great for League Starting as its great early on with little to no investment! What's even better is that it continues to scale really well into Endgame with some more Investment. SPIN 2 WIN!!!

Mapping and Bossing will be handled by Cyclone of Tumult + Impale to stack tons of Phys DPS extremely fast. We'll also use General's Cry + Autoexertion + Sunder / Ground Slam of Earthshaking for some additional Clear Speed and Damage. The Autoexertion Tech will Auto-Summon Mirage's which will use Sunder / Ground Slam of Earthshaking Automatically when there are corpses nearby. If there isn't any corpses, we'll use Desecrate to create corpses for us to use in scenarios like boss fights.

We'll buff our Damage and Defenses up with these Aura's/Supports -

Blood Rage for Frenzy Charges, Precision for Accuracy and Critical Hit Chance, Pride for More Physical Damage Dealt, Blood and Sand for More Area Damage, Flesh and Stone for More Physical Damage, Molten Shell + Automation for Defense, Infused Channelling Support for Damage and Defense, War Banner for Accuracy/AOE/Damage, and Assassin's Mark + Mark On Hit Support for Power Charges/Crit.

Build Variants

We'll use Cyclone of Tumult over Cyclone since Tumult scales Damage and AOE much better. This will limit our Movement Speed so you'll either need The Stampede for 150% Movement Speed or you can Invest into Tailwind + Elusive Boots with MS to get around 275-300% Movement Speed.

We'll use Mageblood to automate our Flask and Increase the Effects of them. This will nearly Double the Effects from our Flask allowing us to be Immune to Shock, have TONS of Resistance's, and get enough Movement Speed to switch off of The Stampede once we make this swap.

We're GIGA Tanky thanks to the Ancestral Commander Ascendancy Nodes Ancestral Endurance for +2 Max Endurance Charges (Post Nerf), Ancestral Defiance for 10% of Life Recovered before being hit (Post Nerf), Born under Fire for a BIG Phys Max Hit increase, and either Toughened Skin for Slow Immune and x2 Armour from Body Armour or Otherworldly Appendages from the Breachlord Bloodline for a Phys + Lightning Max Hit Increase.

W'll use the Forbidden Flame and Forbidden Flesh Jewels with Aspect of Carnage to give us 40% MORE Damage! If you're on a budget, go with Undeniable, Crave the Slaughter, or Rite of Ruin.

This variant swaps off of the The Stampede Boots and use a pair of Boots with Tailwind and Elusive on Critical Hit so we can achieve higher Movement Speed. This upgrade will be VERY expensive, roughly 30-60 Divine but necessary if you want to blast maps as fast as possible.

We'll use the Abyssus for a massive DPS increase since Born under Fire mitigates this Helmets biggest weakness. Make sure to pick this up ASAP once you get your 4th Ascendancy.

Remember to utilize the CRAFTING BENCH to fill one empty Affix slot on an item!

Weapon:

You're going to need a G-R-R-R-B-B 6L for Cyclone of Tumult and a R-R-R-R-R-R 6L for General's Cry + Autoexertion + Ground Slam of Earthshaking.

You're going to want an Ezomyte Staff, Maelstrom Staff, or Judgement Staff for the Base 25% Block Chance!

Increased Physical Damage, Added Physical Damage, Attack Speed, Accuracy, Critical Hit Chance, and Critical Strike Multiplier are going to be the most important stats to look for. Remember that we use Brutality Support so we deal ZERO Elemental Damage! There are a few special crafts that can go on a Warstaff but it's too complicated/intricate to explain here. See the crafting video.

Body Armor:

You're going to need a G-R-R-R-R-B 6L for Cyclone of Tumult and a R-R-R-R-R 6L for General's Cry + Autoexertion + Ground Slam of Earthshaking.

You'll want to get the Highest Armor, Additional Physical Damage Reduction, and Block Chance Body Armor that you can. This is IMPORTANT if you want to have a solid Max Phys Hit Pool.

Influence your Body Armor with Searing Exarch and Eater of Worlds, watch Here if you don't know what that means.

  • For Eater of Worlds Influence, go for Melee Hits have a Chance to Fortify so you don't have to buy a Overlord Cluster Jewel. This will save you Currency and let you get different Mods on the Large Cluster Jewel for more Damage.
  • For Searing Exarch Influence, go for Increased Effect of Non-Curse Aura's to make Pride, Flesh and Stone, Precision, and Blood and Sand stronger. Other options are Increased Global Physical Damage, Critical Strike Multiplier for Attack Damage, To All Max Resistances, and Increased Flask Effects

Gloves:

Prioritize Life, Resistances, Attributes, Attack Speed, Accuracy, and Armor for Gloves. Don't bother with Added Damage to Attacks.

Influence your Gloves with Searing Exarch and Eater of Worlds, watch Here if you don't know what that means.

  • For Eater of Worlds Influence, go for Increased Chance to Impale. Other options are Increased Damage per Strength, Chance to Maim on Hit, Chance to Ignore Phys Damage Reduction, and Accuracy Per Frenzy Charge.
  • For Searing Exarch Influence, go for Increased Critical Hit Chance or Global Accuracy Rating. Other options are Attack Speed, Added Physical Damage to Attacks and # to Max Cold Resistance.

Helmet:

We'll be using the Abyssus for a HUGE Physical DPS and Crit DPS increase. I typically skip this Helmet as it Increases the Physical Damage we take BUT the Born under Fire mitigates this weakness PERFECTLY. This makes this Helmet a must have for a massive DPS increase.

Try to get one with 40% Increased Physical Damage Taken and the Highest Critical Damage Bonus as possible. You can get Corrupted Versions of this Helmet which can provide strong buffs like Titanic Swings or Increased Effect of Non-Curse Aura's but are VERY expensive.

Boots:

I've swapped off of The Stampede so I can have More Movement Speed for faster Mapping. This is an Expensive Upgrade that is excessive unless you plan to play this build as your Map Blaster. I'm using Boots with 35% Increased Movement Speed and Chance to gain Elusive and Tailwind on Crit Strike. This allows us to achieve anywhere from 250-300% Movement Speed while running and 125-150% Movement Speed while Spinning.

We'll be using The Stampede as these Boots are the only way to Increase our Movement Speed in Cyclone of Tumult. You can Anoint these Boots and I go with Enigmatic Defence for the Block Chance or Serpent Stance for Crit/Block.

You can go for a Corrupt +1 to Maximum Endurance Charges or +2 Level of Aoe/Aura Gems on your The Stampede for Min Max.

Belt:

We'll be swapping to Mageblood as nearly every Uber Endgame Build uses it. This will give you your Flask Effects 24/7 which allows us to put 70% Increased Effect of Flask for our Instilling Orb Crafts instead of Used when Charges reach Full. This allows us to make our Flask Effects nearly Double giving us tons of Movement Speed, Crit Chance, Armor, Elemental Resistances, Immune to Elemental Ailments, Corrupted Blood/Bleeding, Poisons, etc....

Amulet:

I've gone with an Amulet with as many Attributes as possible. This allows you to get Resistances on other pieces of gear. Global Critical Strike Multiplier, Level of All/Phys Gems, and Damage while Leeching are great bonuses for More Damage if you can get them. Try to get + or % Max Life and % Increased Armor for some extra Defense.

I've Anointed with Whispers of Doom now since we have a Ring with Curse Enemies with Vulnerability on Hit. This is necessary since Assassin's Mark is considered a Curse so we have to increase our Curse Limit from 1 to 2. This is HUGE for a Damage Increase so get this when you can, otherwise anoint with Serpent Stance or Enigmatic Defence.

Rings:

Preferably use the Vermillion Ring Base for % Increased Maximum Life. Make sure to get the Channeling Skills have -3 to Total Mana Cost on ONE Ring so you can try to get a 0 Mana Cost Cyclone of Tumult.

At this point you should be getting a Curse Enemies with Vulnerability on Hit Ring for a HUGE single target damage boost. Just make sure to have Whispers of Doom Anointed or do the Warlord/Hunter Influence Body Armor Craft.

Prioritize Resistances, Attributes, Life, and Mana. Added Physical Damage to Attacks is NOT worth at this point here.

Jewels:

I've taken a Large Cluster Jewel with Brutal Infamy, Feed the Fury, and Martial Prowess. This is better than a Megalomaniac Medium Cluster Jewel since we get 2 Jewel Sockets to use to our advantage.

Next we'll use a Watcher's Eye Prismatic Jewel with Buffs when using Pride and Precision. I've gone with % Chance to Deal Double Damage, % Increased Critical Strike Multiplier, and % Increased Attack Damage. Impales Last 2 Additional Hits, Increased Physical Damage, and Increased Attack Speed are also really good so pick a 2 or 3 combo Jewel that's within your price range.

I paid 35 Divine for mine after waiting with a live search for a day or two so be vigilant on a specific 3 Mod Roll. 2 Mod Rolls are 1-2 Divine.

The Forbidden Flame and Forbidden Flesh Jewel's are going to be the BEST Offense increase we can get. If you get them both with Allocates Aspect of Carnage and socket them both, we will get this Ascendancy Node to give us 40% MORE Damage. These Jewel's are also VERY expensive, some budget options are Undeniable, Crave the Slaughter, and Rite of Ruin.

I use the Lethal Pride (Kaom Strength of Blood) placed right beside Stamina for a HUGE DPS Increase. This Jewel will give an additional Bonus to all Nodes within radius. I'm using one currently with 15099 Warriors under Kaom but 17310 would be the Best in Slot Roll for this Jewel. There's TONS of rolls for as cheap as 20 Chaos that are Huge so use the Tool on Path of Building to search for one of come by my Stream and ask how to search for one.

Lastly we'll use Stormshroud which will give us Immunity to Elemental Ailments thanks to our Flask Buffs and Mageblood.

Flasks:

  • Use a Diamond Flask with 25% Increased Effect and 20% Additional Elemental Resistances. Craft on the Bench 70% Increased Effect with Instilling Orbs.
  • Use a Quicksilver Flask with 25% Increased Effect and 14% Increased Movement Speed during Effect. Craft on the Bench 70% Increased Effect with Instilling Orbs.
  • Use a Silver Flask with 25% Increased Effect and 55% Chance to Avoid Being Shocked. This provides the Elemental Ailment Immunity with Stormshroud. Craft on the Bench 70% Increased Effect with Instilling Orbs.
  • Use a Granite Flask with 25% Increased Effect and 60% Increased Armor during Effect. Craft on the Bench 70% Increased Effect with Instilling Orbs.
  • Use a Bottled Faith for a BIG Critical Hit Chance and DPS Increase. Craft on Use when you Hit a Rare or Unique Enemy, if not already in effect.

Grafts:

Use a Impaling Uulgraft with the Highest Implicit and Prefix Chance to Impale to help us get to as close to 100% Chance to Impale as possible. The Violent Desire skill will provide Increased Impale Effect and Chance to Inflict an Additional Impale, you can get a Suffix on this graft to provide Increased Attack Speed during Effect and +4 Level of Skill.

Use a Molten Xophgraft with Increased Armor Implicit for a HUGE Hit Pool Increase. The Heart of Flame Skill will provide an extra Hit Pool layer and you can get Increased Armor during effect and Increased Attack Damage. These Grafts are providing a 15-25% Damage and Hit Pool Increase.

Tattoo's:

To reach the 65% Block Chance Cap you'll need to use Tattoo of the Valako Shieldbearer. Use as many as it takes to reach the 65% Block Chance, I had to use 16 of them myself with this variant.

You can use the Tattoo of the Ramako Archer on your Dex Nodes for Increased Global Accuracy Rating if needed and the Tattoo of the Hinekora Storyteller on your Int Nodes for +3% to Chaos Res if needed.

We'll grab Kinetic Impacts for a big DPS boost first, then path to Prismatic Skin for a Max Resistance Increase. Take the "Your Elemental Resistances cannot be lowered by Curses" Mastery node to negate some nasty map mods. Grab Unwavering Stance to make us Immune to Stuns and get the Jewel Socket above it.

Take Spirit of War for Mana leech and the Mana Mastery Node "10% reduced Mana Cost of Skills" to make Cyclone of Tumult cost less. Grab Master of the Arena for DPS and AoE, Bravery for Armor/Life, and Art of the Gladiator for Movement/Attack Speed, Dex, and Accuracy. Then take Eagle Eye for the Accuracy boost to ensure we have a 100% Chance to Hit. Take Proficiency or Hard Knocks IF you need the Attributes.

Path down and take the Large Jewel Socket to put a Large Cluster Jewel. Try to get one with Brutal Infamy, Feed the Fury, and Martial Prowess. Take Champion of the Cause to reduce the Mana Reserved by our skills, Brutal Skewering for Impale DPS, Golem's Blood for Life, and Versatile Combatant to help max out our Attack and Spell Block easily.

Grab Cannibalistic Rite for a Mana Cost Reduction and the Mana Mastery Node "12% Increased Mana Reservation Efficiency of Skills" to reduce the cost of our Reservation Skills. Grab Juggernaut for the Life and Armor, Harpooner for the Impale DPS, Stamina for the +1 Max Endurance Charges, and the Jewel Socket across from it so we can use Lethal Pride (Kaom Strength of Blood).

Take Barbarism for Life and Fire Res, Disemboweling for Crit Chance and Multiplier, Battle Trance for the Max Rage and the Rage Mastery Node "Nearby Enemies are Intimidated while you have Rage". Take the Large Jewel Socket to the Left of this to socket another one of our Jewels and then take Nomadic Teachings for the Max Resistance increase. Take the Protection Mastery Node "Corrupted Blood cannot be inflicted on you" to mitigate a weakness of the build.

Path to Whirling Barrier and Smashing Strikes for a Block Chance and Crit Increase, Endurance for +1 Max Endurance Charges, and the Jewel Socket across from it for another one of our Jewels. Then take Devotion for Max Life and the Life Mastery Node "15% Increased maximum Life if there are no Life Modifiers on Equipped Body Armour" for a big Life Increase. Then take Steelwood Stance for a DPS and Block increase.

Your 1st Ascendancy Points should be spent on Ancestral Endurance. This is so we can get Ancestral Defiance with our 2nd Set of Ascendancy Points which is a HUGE EHP increase. Your 3rd Set of Ascendancy Points should then be spent on Toughened Skin or Otherworldly Appendages (Breachlord Bloodline) for either a Slow Immunity and Armor Increase or EHP Increase from Grafts. Lastly take Born under Fire with your 4th Set of Ascendancy Points for a BIG Phys Max Hit Increase.

  • Flesh and Stone ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE MANA RESERVATION!!!! You'll need the Body Armor Craft to run this
  • War Banner for More Single Target DPS
  • Desecrate to Spawn Corpses for Bossing to activate your Mirages from General's Cry
  • IF you can get an Unset Ring, you can use Portal for Quality of Life

How it Plays

Spin with Cyclone of Tumult to kill things, the corpses will then turn into Mirage Warriors thanks to General's Cry and Autoexertion which will use Ground Slam of Earthshaking Automatically for us. Shockwave Support will Auto-Proc on hit for extra damage and clear speed. Use Blood Rage for Attack Speed and Frenzy Charges. Be sure to keep moving as much as possible and use Frostblink to move while still spinning.

In Boss Fights, use Desecrate to spawn corpses for Autoexertion and General's Cry so we can get extra damage from Ground Slam of Earthshaking. Drop War Banner at the Bosses feet and stick close to it for a HUGE DPS Increase. Use Blood Rage in the Boss Fight to refresh the buff for Increased Attack Speed.
