Hidden Cubes in Aion 2 reward exploration with useful materials, consumables, and a chance at rare items. Finding them takes a little more effort than following a quest marker, but knowing what to look and listen for makes the search easier.

Where to Find Hidden Cubes
Hidden Cubes are glowing red cubes scattered around the open world. They do not appear on your minimap or main map, so you need to spot them while exploring.
Start by checking areas with plenty of elevation:
Cliff tops and ledges.
Raised platforms and isolated rocky areas.
High ground that requires flying to reach.
Many cubes are tucked away above your normal route, so looking around at ground level can leave you walking straight past them. However, they are not always high up. Some can also be hidden underground or in water, making it worth checking below you as well.
Hidden Cubes also make a sound when you get close. Keep your game audio audible and consider using headphones to help you notice a nearby cube before spotting its red glow.
If you’re following a reported location, search the surrounding area and check different heights. The exact position may be slightly different from the marked spot. Where several locations are close together, plan a short loop between them to make your search more efficient.

How to Open Hidden Cubes
Once you find a Hidden Cube, approach it and interact with it to open its menu.
To use a key:
Open the key selection menu.
Choose the Hidden Cube key you want to spend. If you have different versions, you can change which one is selected.
Select Open with Key.
Wait for the opening animation to finish, then collect the rewards.
Check your selected key before confirming so you know which one you are using.
Hidden Cube Rewards
Hidden Cubes offer useful materials and consumables alongside a chance at rarer rewards.
The regular rewards from opening a cube with a key include:
Soul Crystals
Silentium
Soul Codex
Seed of Detection
You can also receive Small Odyle Energy, Lucky Aura, and rare rewards such as skins, wings, and an emote.
These additional drops are not guaranteed, so you should not expect a cosmetic reward from every cube. Even without one, the regular materials make Hidden Cubes worth checking while you explore.
