On July 30, 2025, a new Duo Expeditions queue will be added for Patch 1.02.
This means that you can queue with another friend without a random player filling in as your third.
The lack of a pure duo queue was one of Nightreign's main criticisms before its release, so this is a significant addition for the player base.
Patch 1.02 will also include quality-of-life UI improvements, such as more Relics filtering options and the beginning of a new Everdark cycle featuring Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog.
