Raider is a great character against Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow because one of his better weapons deals lightning damage. Other reasons are that he can easily stagger Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow and, in general, is a great character. Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow is weak to lightning damage, since it cancels his strongest attack and it debuffs him. It also deals extra damage to him, so lightning damage is the biggest priority this run.

Dragon King's Cragblade- Any Lightning Damage Weapon
Alternatives
The biggest priority, as stated before, is to have a weapon that deals lightning damage to Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow. Sadly, there are very few weapons with this guarantee on them, so we most likely have to get lucky and find one. If you can't get your hands on one, aim to get one of the Rotten weapons. Since Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow is very slippery, this weapon deals guaranteed damage over time.
Talismans
Best-in-slot
Green Turtle Talisman
Claw Talisman /
Axe Talisman
Lightning Scorpion Charm
Raider is in general need of Stamina, so you can never go wrong with the
Green Turtle Talisman. You can either go for the
Claw Talisman for jump attacks or the
Axe Talisman for Charged Attacks. For this boss specifically,
Lightning Scorpion Charm is very important if you deal lightning damage, since it massively increases your damage.

Game Plan and Pathing
Day 1
Raider has fewer problems in the early game than some of the other characters. This doesn’t mean he has problems of his own. Raider's biggest and only problem is his slow animations for attacks. You still want to hit level 2 before you go anywhere, as is the case with any character. You should first look at the map and find out where a lightning affinity location is and the path towards there.
While going there, go through some Cathedrals, Forts, or Encampments to gather runes and reach level 5-6. While you are there, if there is a merchant, look to see if he may sell any lightning weapons as well, or maybe some great weapon passives.
Once you have your desired weapon, if you have time to go to a Mine, go there before the circle closes so that you can upgrade your weapon towards Epic. We aim to be level 8 by the end of day 1.
Day 2
On day 2, what we do depends on our map. If we have a Shifting Earth event, that will influence where the circle closes and where we are going. The specific ones we want to look out for are Noklateo and the Crater. These have the best reward and can help massively to improve your run, so we want to prioritize these above anything if they appear.
Besides that, look out for Field bosses or the central castle if Noklateo didn’t spawn.
For the central castle, we specifically want Crucible Knights since they drop the most runes and are the easiest to deal with, removing all other enemies in the castle.
If everything went to plan, we hopefully reached upwards of level 13 and possibly 15.
Day 3
As stated before, with this guide, we are fighting Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow.
Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow takes extra damage from Lightning, which is the entire reason we prioritized getting a weapon that deals lightning damage to begin with. Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow has a dangerous stab attack where he aims his spear into the ground. Deal damage to him while he charges this with your lightning damage, since this will cancel his attack. In phase 2, he will also apply a slow to you, which makes it an even bigger priority to hit him, but now it will require multiple hits.
In phase 2, you also want to dodge more of his attacks or use your ability to power through them because it's too chaotic often, and hard to dodge.
Additional Tips
- Powerstancing doesn’t work as well as in Elden Ring, so 2-handing is the best way to go most of the time.
- Use your Consumables every day because there is plenty to go around. Don’t lose a fight cause you didn’t use them.
- If you are playing with 3 people, get resistances as well, because you will be their main frontline.
- You can also use your ultimate to give allies protection or high ground for characters like Ironeye, Recluse, or Revenant.
- You can use your ability to power through attacks that would normally knock you back or deal more damage. This will also deal a lot of stance damage to the boss/enemy.
