How To Play and Unlock Aurora in Swarm

There are big changes coming to League of Legends this July. In July, Riot is releasing their newest game mode- Swarm. Swarm is a PvE bullet heaven-type game where you play alone or with 3 others, and you have to survive 15 minutes against these enemies, and then face of against a final boss.

In this game mode, you can play one of 9 champions, and the champions who are playable are Jinx, Seraphine, Aurora, Illaoi, Leona, Xayah, Yasuo, Riven and Briar. The two starter champions are Jinx and Seraphine, and Aurora is one of the last champions you will unlock. But we will break down how you can unlock her shortly.

Aurora is a brand new champion in League of Legends, and we have been creating a lot of content around her already. You can head over to see more about Aurora by heading to the Mobalytics Blog.

How to Unlock Aurora in Swarm

To unlock Aurora, you would have needed to already complete the main storyline and unlock hard mode. You cannot get any earlier than this. Once you have unlocked this game mode, you must destroy and kill 25 mini-bosses. It might look quite hard, but if you play with friends, you can quickly get it done in an evening.

Aurora Swarm Abilities

Each champion in Swarm has a Passive and 2 abilities. Aurora unlocks her E at level 3, and her Ultimate at level 6.

Aurora’s Swarm Spells

Aurora’s Passive is called Spirit Abjuration. Every 8 levels, she calls a spirit that follows her around and deals damage to enemies.

Aurora Swarm Passive

Aurora’s E is Across the Veil, which makes her invulnerable briefly. During this time, she deals damage to all enemies she comes into contact with.

Aurora Swarm E

Aurora’s Ultimate is called Between Worlds. She sends out a pulse that deals AOE damage. For 13 seconds afterwards, she has the ability to travel from one end of the area to another, dealing damage to enemies she hits.

Augments and Upgrades

Weapons and weapon upgrades should be your go-to for any champion in Swarm. Here are our recommendations for the best weapons for Aurora.

Aurora’s Weapon. Upgrading your champion’s weapon for extra damage is always a good option.

Iceblast Armor. A strong AOE weapon that will help keep you and your allies alive. As this build is more defensive, it will be more useful and it scales with armor and health.

Radiant Field. It provides nearby damage to help you when you get into the melee range of the enemies.

Statikk Sword. Stattik Sword is one of the best weapons in the game. It deals damage to multiple enemies at once, which helps clear the enemies.

Vortex Glove. Vortex Glove deals AOE damage to enemies. It helps to deal damage to enemies from afar.

To get these weapon upgrades, you need to get Armor, Damage, Experience (EXP), Health Regeneration, Maximum Health, and Projectiles.

Aurora Swarm Tips and Tricks

I feel that Aurora can be good, but she does feel clunky at times. Here are some tips and tips to help you that I have come up with and observed by playing her a bunch.

As we alluded to earlier, you need to put points in your E upgrade early, or you will be really vulnerable and not deal a lot of damage. This can be an issue because you will miss out on weapons and projectile upgrades, though.

Your Ultimate can be quite useful to help you dodge a lot of damage, and allow you to reposition. In fact, your E can also be used to dodge a lot of damage. In some maps, you can activate your E to escape the enemies that have encircled you.

In Conclusion

To quickly sum up this article, Aurora is a fantastic new champion who will be hitting the League of Legends servers mid-July along with the new Swarm game mode. In Swarm, she is really fun, and I cannot wait to play more games as her on and off Summoners Rift.

We have put in a lot of effort to create similar guides on each champion who is in Swarm. If you want to check them out, all learn how to unlock any other champion, head over to the Mobalytics Blog.
