The Top 5 Best Sorcerer Builds (Season 2, Diablo 4)

In this list of the top 5 Season 2 Sorcerer builds, we’re covering the best Sorc meta options from our Tier List (check it out for even more choices).

For each one, we’ll cover the overview of how the build works but we strongly recommend hitting the button to see the full build if you see one you like!.

Be sure to check out our other Season 2 class builds:

1. DonTheCrown’s Lightning Blender

DonTheCrown's Lightning Blender

[SEE FULL BUILD]

Looking for an all-around great build for any type of Season 2 content that involves diving toward enemies and sucking them into your Lightning Blender? Give this a shot!

Don the Crown’s build starts off with you casting Ball Lightning and Teleport to draw enemies into a pile for a stun. Make sure to activate Flame Shield to reduce your mana cost while immobilizing enemies for more Ball Lightning spam.

After that, look to use Ice Blades, Teleport, and Lightning Spear to replenish your mana thanks to Prodigy Aspect. Meanwhile, Mystic Teleport helps increase the effect of Overflowing Energy.

As you deal damage, make sure to pickup Crackling Energy and keep the the bulk of your Ball Lightnings on enemies before using your Ultimate, Unstable Currents. Since Overflowing Energy reduces its cooldown, feel free to use it on elite packs.

Against bosses, activate Unstable currents into alternated casts of Ball Lighting with Ice Blades, Lighting Spear, and Teleport. After engaging onto the boss, use Flame Shield and Ball Lightnings. Be sure to apply Vulnerable by evading and rotate anti-clockwise for Crackling Energy pickups.

2. Blizzard – Hailstorm

Although Blizzard can’t crit, its power can be enhanced with Glacial Aspect. With the aspect, you can summon Ice Spikes that can crit, which significantly improves your Blizzard’s damage output.

The AoE of Ice Spikes may be small at first, but it too can be amplified by Aspect of the Tundra, increasing it by 50%.

Since Blizzard received some Season 2 buffs, it’s a great time to make the most of the archetype!

All in all, this build is great for speed farming and endgame alike but is quite item-reliant.

3. Blyndside’s Arc Lash – Lashing Currents

Blyndside's Arc Lash - Lashing Currents

[SEE FULL BUILD]

This Arc Lash build revolves around its Basic Ability, continuously refreshed low CDs, high attack speed, and incredible durability.

With the new Vampiric Powers of Season 2 that increase attack speed (Moonrise and Ravenous), this sort of build is particularly promising.

Compared to the other builds in our list, this is one of the easiest to use, so if you want a simpler gameplay loop or you’re new to the class, consider trying it out.

4. Blyndside’s Ice Shards – Burning Frost

Blyndside's Ice Shards - Burning Frost

[SEE FULL BUILD]

If you like the feel of Ice Shards, this build buffs and empowers it as much as you can with the Ice Shards Enchantment, Paragon Boards, and the Aspect of Piercing Cold.

The build is super versatile, offering offensive and defensive capabilities to adapt to any situation.

Note that this meta Sorcerer build is meant for the Mid-Late game, so if you’re 50 or below, check out this Sorcerer leveling build instead.

5. Blyndside’s Firewall/Hydra – Scorched Earth

Blyndside's Firewall Hydra - Scorched Earth

[SEE FULL BUILD]

Another build that benefitted from Season 2 Vampiric Powers is Firewall/Hydra (aka Scorched Earth)!

Your core gameplay loop has you melting through trash mobs with Firewall and dragging in mods until you make a big pull or find an Elite.

Once there, keep up your Firewalls before using Frost Nova until you build up to Shatter.

With 4 defensive (Frost Nova, Ice Armor, Teleport, and Flame Shield) you’ll be able to both supplement your damage while avoiding damage to yourself.

On tricky Elites and bosses, Inferno offers more damage and Infinite mana sustain for Pyro abilities.
