Build Summary

Blizzard is Sorcerer's staple build. It's been good every season and was the first to take down Lillith in S0. It's back again for another season of spam casting blizzard's onto enemies and mauling them with ice spikes. Recent mega buffs to the Blue Rose Unique Ring will add some extra punching power to an already dominant skill. Blizzard also received a weapon temper finally for ice spikes to deal double damage! Things are looking up

• Starting off we use Flickerstep Boots to achieve high uptime on our Deep Freeze Ultimate

• We utilize Snowveiled + Tibault's Will to help restore resource and provide unstoppable and damage reduction while unstoppable

• The mana per second roll on your chest will be very important. If you cannot sustain your mana, I suggest running a concussive strikes or snowguard's helmet with a mana per second roll

• If armor is an issue, you can drop snowveiled off chest for disobedience, then masterwork resource or life on tibault's

• Pre Tal Rasha/Blue Rose you can use Prodigy and Elemental Acuity rings to restore mana

Build Notes

Gameplay Loop

Starter • You will be spamming blizzard and ice blades and using the rest of your cooldowns as needed • When you run low on mana you will teleport to proc unstoppable and mana regen from tibault's will

Endgame • This is a full frost build, utilizing teleport enchant for movement • You never cast Frostbolt • You will basically spam everything when off cooldown • Frost nova should be held to use as an engage on packs, or to proc it's damage bonus on a boss • Deep Freeze is used frequently to try and keep high uptime on it's damage bonus. You can cancel it early and still get the explosion damage and damage boost to cold

How It Works

Blizzard is one of Sorcerer's staple builds ever since the first Lillith kill in Season 0. It may not be the offensive power house it has been in the past, but it's reliable and sturdy. It's stood the test of time. It can struggle with burst dps, or moving bosses, but recent additions like the Ice spike explode twice Weapon temper and the buffs to Blue Rose position Blizzard to have some hitting power.

Blizzard is typically ran with a staff to double the value of the Glacial Aspect, which is actually how we deal all of our damage. Glacial makes blizzard spawn ice spikes that deal a flat damage amount. Blizzard lasts 12 seconds, and an ice spike spawns every half second, for 24 spikes per cast!

Because of this we can stack up some serious single target damage, as long as the enemy doesn't move out of our casts lol. Because of this, taking Blizzard Area Size tempers or things like the Adept Glyph are not good. • The larger your blizzard area size, the less pinpoint DPS you have (think of a shotgun spread tight vs wide) • Ranks to Blizzard actually don't do much for the build, because we are focusing on ice spike damage

Blizzard is often played as a cast and forget playstyle, which can be annoying as you need to wait for loot to drop, but your pet can help ease some of the lost loot concerns. Blizzard is solid every season, and it's the build I recommend to anyone who is new to Sorcerer.

The starter version is a bit traditional, utilizing a standard sorcerer kit with ice blades to manage cooldowns. Flickerstep's help us keep high uptime on deep freeze for resetting cooldowns, providing damage, and bumping our cold damage.

The endgame version is where things get a little wonky. We utilize a 6 frost skill bar to utilize the damage bonus from the newly buffed elemental synergies. This setup should be peak damage with our Ice Spikes, and still have decent movement and enlightenment uptime because of teleport enchantment.
