Build Details

How It Works
Summary

If Ball Lightning was not so giga busted, Pure Blizzard would be Sorc's S tier top build. You can run Xfal's or Blue rose. Xfal has higher damage spikes, Blue rose is comfier on mana if your Metamorph is L3. They play about the same.

This is my favorite build I've ever made, and it crushes T100s. The new unique rings Tal Rasha and Bluerose/Xfals thrust it into viability. Pending AoZ difficulty, I think it can compete and thrive. The CC and Area Damage is strong. You can cast into packs and keep moving as the spikes and xfals will kill them.

Blizzard cooks. Xfal will proc for 2M+ randomly via blizzard being a dot and the innate LHC of firebolt enchant that is procced by frozen orb enchant.

Enchants - 1) Firebolt - procs burning for burning DR, additive damage to burning, tal rasha, elementalist glyph, and most importantly 1.42x mult on crit damage with 6 ranks of devouring blaze.

2) Frozen orb - Provides a large AoE vehicle in which to proc firebolt enchant. Firebolt enchant requires direct damage from SKILLS. Blizzard is a DOT and ice spikes, while they are direct damage, are not skill damage. Frozen orb also provides some damage, vuln, and helps freeze enemies faster.

With an L1 metamorph you can spam casts comfortably alternating evades, teleport, flame shield, and deep freeze immunes.

Deep freeze is direct damage, and can be used to proc firebolt on entire rooms of dense enemies and reset all cooldowns.

You can do a lot of casts and move on, the glacial spikes and xfals will typically finish off enemies. Blizzard performs extremely well during dense events. It will cook and kill large areas of enemies when it ramps up.

In-Depth Explanation

Glyphs

Stalagmite - Ice spike Damage and 10% crit chance

Elementalist - 1.1 to 1.15x damage on enemies + Bumps Non-Phys and Resist Rare Nodes

Tears - The Goat. Massive damage boost and bumps damage to burning and DR Burning

FlameFeeder - Dmg to burning and 1.1x multi to burning targets (Control can be taken here if bosses are not an issue)

Destruction - Crit damage and 1.12x multi

Enchanter - Buffs our non-phys damage, acts as a Pseudo multiplicative glyph by buffing frigid fate legendary node by 8.58%. 5% max resist added to cold and fire resists.

Gameplay Loop

Cast blizzards, evade to gain main back from meta and tibaults, tp when needed to proc tal rasha and regen mana, flame shield when needed, and deep freeze when things get tough to get reset cooldowns and apply burn to large areas quickly.

Spam away, you'll learn how many casts you need to kill enemies. You can certainly overcast on enemies.
