Build Overview

X'Fal's Corroded Signet got an update for S12

  • Previous: Lucky Hit: Your damage over time effects have up to a 75% chance to erupt, dealing 1350-1950 damage of the same type to surrounding enemies.
  • Now: Each Damage over Time type you apply explodes every second, dealing 3000-4000 damage over 4 seconds to surrounding enemies.
  • I am playing the PURE BURN setup
  • There is also a Cold/Fire setup (It was cumbersome)
  • There is also a Poison/Cold/Fire setup (It is REALLY cumbersome)

NOTE: X'Fal's Corroded Signet actually ended up having some issues

  • X'Fal's Corroded Signet wont work on more than 1 target
  • It will still explode and hit others
  • but you don't get multiple explosions in a pack

NOTE: Inferno & Supreme Inferno do NOT scale X'Fal's Corroded Signet

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Finally a cool Damage Over Time build
  • DoT needs to ramp up

Build Variants

THIS IS THE SETUP I AM ACTUALLY PLAYING AFTER TESTING

  • Elixir of Advantage Reddamine Buzz Soothing Spices Sage's Whisper
  • This setup scales Burn Only and only cares about X'Fal's Corroded Signet damage
  • It is the easiest mentally to play, with the least shit going on or tracking
  • Combustion Key Passive

Main Skills

  • Spam Hydra to make Enhanced Familiar's to burn enemies
  • Cast Firewall on packs for Enhanced Firewall 25% burn damage
  • Rinse and Repeat making sure you have Familiar's out
  • Cast Fire Bolt on Single Target Bosses for Glinting Fire Bolt as Fire Bolt enchant does not work on Single target
  • Meteor, Fireball, and Incinerate are never casted, these are just bar space fillers for Elemental Synergies

Enchantments

  • Familiar enchant will make Familiar when you cast Hydra. These burn and provide 10% damage withInvoked Familiar
  • Fire Bolt enchant is to help increase our burning damage when mobbing with Glinting Fire Bolt

Orsivane Free Enchantments

  • Teleport enchant for Teleport Evades on 3.5s timer (Game will display 4 after evading due to rounding)
  • Frost Nova enchant to make Mystical Frost Nova's on Lucky hits
  • Ice Armor enchant for Mystical Ice Armor on potion press
  • Flame Shield enchant that will proc when you lose 30% of your life. After it procs goes on cooldown for 30 seconds. Cannot stop things that one shot you :(

  • X'Fal's Corroded Signet is the meat and potatoes of the build
  • New Unique Effect: Each Damage over Time type you apply explodes every second, dealing 3000-4000 damage over 4 seconds to surrounding enemies.
  • I believe this effect only procs once per second per damage type, so applying a Firewall and then another burn like Fire Bolt should not create two damage pulses every second, just the one

How it Works

How X'Fal works in Season 12

Previously in S11 (Dumb)

  • Previous: Lucky Hit: Your damage over time effects have up to a 75% chance to erupt, dealing 1350-1950 damage of the same type to surrounding enemies.
  • X'Fal's Corroded Signet used to apply a direct damage proc on lucky hits from damage over time builds which was stupid.
  • They are two different systems with different paragon boards, passives, and key passives.

Which Setup to Run?

  • I am currently running the PURE BURN setup, I prefer it over all the others. I just wasn't sure what would be the angle because it's so knew, so I made a bunch of setups. Godslayer Crown is crazy good

Now in S12 (Chad)

  • Now: Each Damage over Time type you apply explodes every second, dealing 3000-4000 damage over 4 seconds to surrounding enemies.
  • X'Fal's Corroded Signet is now taking your damage over time, copying it, and shitting out damage every second based on the element applied
  • Firewall will make X'Fal's Corroded Signet shit out Burn Fire damage over time
  • Blizzard will make X'Fal's Corroded Signet shit out Frostbite Cold damage over time
  • I believe it just procs once per type, so using Firewall then Incinerate would not proc twice.
  • The general concept is you want to apply as many different elemental damages as you can, stack generic damage multipliers
  • X'Fal's Corroded Signet becomes a pseudo skill, and you want to scale it's damage.
  • Firewall and Blizzardare just vehicles to proc X'Fal's Corroded Signet.
  • However, if scaling the actual skill damage such as Blizzard or Firewall does not present a large opportunity cost to scaling X'Fal's Corroded Signet, you can scale them with ranks to core skills, etc.
  • The general concept is you want to apply as many different elemental damages as you can
    • Blizzard and Firewall are all Sorcerer can get, as I do not think Andariel's Visage is worth losing Heir of Perdition over.
  • Because we are trying to scale TWO damage types at once, we take things that scale ALL Damage like Aspect of Shredding Blades, the key passive Enlightenment, Fundamental Release legendary node, and Exploit glyph.
  • Your Burn Fire Damage will be your highest because of passives like Endless Pyre
  • Your Frostbite Cold Damage will be your second highest

Orsivane Mace

Orsivane is the new mace this season that provides 40% damage for each defensive not on your skill bar, and also grants the missing defensive's enchantment for free.

This really helps the build stay tanky because acquiring max life is an issue due to the plethora of unique items this build wants. The Protection passive was just nerfed down to 15% from 30%, so keeping barriers up is harder than ever.

Free Enchantments from Orsivane

  • Mystical Frost Nova enchant that procs off any Lucky hit for 15% damage
  • Ice Armor barrier when we potion
  • Shimmering Teleport enchant for a Teleport evade every 3.5 seconds
  • Flame Shield enchant which can go off every 30 seconds to give 2 seconds of immunity when you take too much damage
  • These Free Enchantments do NOT grant additional damage for Enchantment Master.

Bloodied Affixes (Seasonal)

  • Items can drop with a bloodied affix that procs when you are on killstreaks
  • There are 3 categories
    • Rampage (Armor): You want Primary Core Stat per killstreak tier to get more Intelligence
    • Feast (Weapons): You want Berserking for 4 seconds after 25 kills for 15% damage
    • Hunger (Jewelry): These are just QOL effects like more Experience or Rampage items, etc
    • There is a special affix that can drop called Tenderize Aspect, where you trigger Feast Effects every 3 seconds. You want this somewhere so you you can trigger Berserking consistently during Boss Fights

Andariel's Visage for Poison Damage?

  • Here, unlike on Rogue, I do not think Andariel's Visage is worth losing Heir of Perdition over
  • You sacrifice 60% damage from both Burn and Cold damage, which you can scale better because of Endless Pyre, Enchantment Master, and Elemental Summoner (Moba site currently has elemental summoner wrong)
  • Elemental Summoner
  • Previous: Your Conjuration Skills have a 10%[x] reduced Cooldown or Mana cost. They also deal bonus damage equal to 10%[x] of the total amount of your Bonus Damage with Fire, Lightning, and Cold, up to 60%[x].
  • Now: Your Conjuration Skills have a 20%[x] reduced Cooldown or Mana cost. Casting a Conjuration Skill increases your damage with their element by 50%[x] for 6 seconds.

Mar 11, 2026 - Added an Andariel's Visage variant JUST IN CASE ITS GOOD. I have no idea, this build is no new and Maxroll damage planner isn't updated. Too many moving pieces.

Mar 13, 2026 - Pure BURN setup added. I prefer it over all the others. Way less cumbersome to play

Later on Mar 13 - Updated Burn setup to have full fire bar

Mar 15 - Updated Pure Burn setup to use Combustion over Enlightenment. Sorry folks I've been a real couch potato this week!
