Equipment

The Gear You See Above Is My Current EXACT Setup And Was Used Throughout The Entire Youtube Video, Including The Intro. This Gear Is NOT PERFECT, And This Was INTENTIONAL Because I Want This To Be Proof Of The Fact That This Build Can Absolutely Blast And Be Nearly Immortal WITHOUT Breaking The Bank. The Next Video/Guide Will Be A 100 Div Budget MINIMUM To Showcase Just How Silly This Build Can Get When You Invest That Much Currency.
Priority Stats - (Trade links can be found further down)
To be 100% transparent, not every "priority stat" is 100% mandatory and there are also other good stats besides just the priority stats as well. BUT, these are the things that I would essentially focus on/personally TRY to not buy an item without these.
Quarterstaff - Flat elemental damage (Preferably cold or Lightning or both), +% To Crit Chance, +7 Melee Skills OR +6 Attack Skills from a perfect essence of Battle, Crit damage bonus
Amulet (Anoint Either
Stormcharged for more dmg or
Tribal Fury for more aoe) ------------------------ +3 Melee Skills, Energy Shield (Either flat or %increased or both is giga ideal), Ele or Chaos Resistance - %increased evasion can also be REALLY good but more expensive if you are combining it with the other priority stats (hence why I dont have it yet cause I wanted to essentially be proof of the fact that you dont have to spend 100 divs on the build for it to blast everything)
Boots - Movespeed obviously (35% is ideal but considering we use
Flicker Strike a lot in maps, Id be more than happy with 30% if it meant I could get a cheap pair with really good additional stats), Ele/Chaos Resistances, High ES And Evasion - Deflection Rating Stat Is Also REALLY GOOD here but also more expensive once again as well.
Rings - ONE OF YOUR RINGS or YOUR GLOVES NEEEEEEEEDDDDD TO HAVE Leech %of physical damage as mana, this pairs with
Walker of the Wilds to give us infinite mana sustain. Beyond that, you want as much flat damage as possible (Ideally Lightning/Cold but a little bit of fire damage is necessary somewhere if you want to benefit from
Echoing Flames on pinnacle bosses, its not needed for maps thanks to
Herald of Ash), Ele/Chaos Resistances. You will also need 1 unset ring if you want to have
Ghost Dance which does help in the process of becoming nearly immortal.
Gloves - +2 Melee Skills, Flat Damage, Crit damage bonus
Belt - Ele/Chaos Resistances, Life (I currently dont believe that using a unique belt such as
Ingenuity or
Darkness Enthroned would be a good idea unless you are prepared to spend A LOT of currency on your gear to supplement the resistances elsewhere without compromising your entire character to do so)
Body Armour - HIGH Evasion/Energy Shield, Faster Start Of Energy Shield Recharge (This is the only piece of gear we can get this stat on so I think its REALLY important to get it here if you can), Deflection stat, resistances/attributes (either is fine really, but you will need like 20-40 attributes somewhere on your gear if you dont want to be pulling out your hair)
Helmet - HIGH Energy Shield ONLY (DO NOT GET A HYBRID HELMET BECAUSE OF
Subterfuge Mask, IMO this passive node is still really good)
Jewels - There are too many "priority stats" to list here but sapphires with crit damage bonus, crit chance and %max ES are like sort of "the best" until you can afford the Unique jewels. - Highly recommend a From Nothing Diamond with Zealots Oath because its super cheap and gives INSANE damage.
Mana Flask - %increased charges (as much as possible for Ambrosia, more charges equals A LOT more damage)
Charms - Not doing Uber Arbiter (#1 Freeze Charm, #2 Bleed Charm, #3 Ignite Charm - 3rd charm slot is not mandatory but I would at least shoot for 2) ------ Doing Uber Arbiter (#1 Freeze Charm, #2 Ignite Charm, #3 Mmmm shouldnt matter tbh)
Weapon set 2 -
Rattling Sceptre (stats dont matter too much but Reduced attributes is very helpful to meet the intelligence requirement, we only need this for the skelly boys before boss fights) -
Redblade Banner (this helps out our
Infernal Cry)
TRADE LINKS <3 - Estimated Budget if you use my trade links is roughly 15-25 divines NOT INCLUDING Perfect Jewellers orbs and random small stuff like that, specifically just the gear/Jewels. You can GENUINELY build a better character than I did for 25 divines if you use my trade links and put in a small amount of effort to trying to find a good deal I PROMISE YOU. I probably spent 25-30 divines on my exact setup but that is what allowed me to do the testing and develop the understanding of what precisely is important that was required to allow you all to do it for cheaper. Enjoy :) - In the video I had no lvl 21 corrupted skill gems either (which are decently expensive but do provide a significant damage increase)
YOU CAN EXPORT ITEMS FROM THE TRADE SITE INTO POB TO SEE IF ITS WORTH BUYING (Download This Extension - https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/poe2-trade-item-exporter/kilkeofnehhbhnkdmjbdhhcjgiimojfc) - YOU NEED TO ADJUST THE LEVEL REQUIREMENT AND MAX PRICE YOURSELF, I HAVE SET "DEFAULT" AMOUNTS FOR BOTH OF THESE BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR BUDGET IS OR WHAT LEVEL YOUR CHARACTER IS :)
Quarterstaff - (Sort By Sum) - (YOU SHOULD GET A SINISTER QUARTERSTAFF IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT BECAUSE IT HAS A HIGHER BASE CRIT, onslaught on kill is a stat you can add in if you have massive amounts of currency) - Example From Trade Link (30k Average Damage Increase compared to my Qstaff for Flicker strike)
Amulet - (Sort By Sum) - Example From Trade Link
Boots - (Sort By Sum) - Example From Trade Link
Mana Leech Ring - (Sort By Sum) - Example From Trade Link (21k Dmg Increase to my mana leech ring)
Regular Ring - (Sort By Sum) - Example From Trade Link (8k Damage increase compared to my unset ring)
Unset Ring - (Sort By Sum) Example From Trade Link (-3k Damage Compared To My Unset Ring, but I paid 5 div for mine)
Gloves - (Sort by bottom sum) Example From Trade Link (-3k Damage compared to my gloves but these are missing a prefix which could be slammed with an abyss thingy for MAX WIN)
Belt - (Sort By Sum, you SHOULD definitely get chaos res on your belt and probably 1 other piece + a chaos res rune in your gloves) - Example From Trade Link
Body Armour - (Sort by sum, ideally look for faster start of ES recharge) - Example From Trade Link
Helmet - (Sort by Sum but pay attention to Total ES as well) - Example From Trade Link
Regular Jewels - (Sort By Sum) - Example From Trade Link
Updated Deep Endgame Sapphire jewels
From Nothing - (Very Cheap And Insane Damage)

Infernal Cry
Herald of Thunder
Wind Dancer
Charge Regulation
Ghost Dance
Reaper's Invocation

EDIT: Garukhan's Resolve is likely significantly better than Elemental Armament II for the bossing setup, testing this tomorrow morning and will confirm.
If you have any confusion please reference the mapping explanation section of the youtube video guide (link is timestamped) - - If you're still confused, leave a comment on the video with your question or join the discord and @me with your question, I will get back to as soon as possible.
A singular
Unset Ring is required to be able to slot in Ghost Dance (Not mandatory but helps in the pursuit of becoming nearly immortal)
Get an
Ultimate Mana Flask with % increased charges to make Ambrosia really really strong.
Herald of Ash and
Infernal Cry should be kept at a LOW level to avoid having strength requirement issues.
You Effectively NEED 100% Crit Chance On Flicker Strike To Make This Whole Thing Work (This is actually very easy to do though thanks to
Flicker Strike getting 20% MORE Crit chance from just adding quality and
Charge Regulation giving us another 25% MORE Crit Chance as well. With that in mind, all you need is to take the crit nodes on the passive tree like I did AND have a Quarterstaff with a total of 15% crit chance which is not hard if you get a
Sinister Quarterstaff - If you have less crit on your weapon then you just need to invest more points into crit on the passive tree or get %increased crit chance on your helmet or amulet)
General Mapping Playstyle
Our usual gameplay loop is as follows - Start the map by killing the first couple of packs with
Storm Wave. This will charge up your
Reaper's Invocation meta skill very quickly (usually 1-2 packs and its at 100%) which will allow you to trigger 5 auto-aimed
Profane Ritual's all at once with no cast time (this will almost always give you 7 power charges). Use your first set of 7 power charges to cast
Charged Staff. Now just repeat that cycle again for an additional 7 power charges and those will be used on
Flicker Strike. After using
Flicker Strike just use
Reaper's Invocation again for another 7 power charges to use another
Flicker Strike and you can essentially repeat this process for the whole map. All the while, you should make sure to slap in a use of
Charged Staff every once in a while to make sure its always active, it has a very long duration with our setup though so sometimes you only need to do this 3-4 times throughout the entire map.
HOWEVER, you will start to learn this almost IMMEDIATELY that using
Flicker Strike is not always the most optimal. If you see a small clump of mobs and can clearly tell that they arent sort of "connected" to another clump of mobs you are genuinely just better off using
Storm Wave to clear that pack.
Storm Wave is still EXTREMELY strong with our setup, for mapping specifically not bossing, and you could safely and efficiently clear entire maps using only
Storm Wave but thats boring as shit compared to
Flicker Strike. ALL THAT TO ESSENTIALLY SAY, this build has a bit of a learning curve in regards to knowing when you should use
Flicker Strike vs
Storm Wave. The simplest explanation for it would be if you know its just a small pack of mobs that arent connected to more packs then its best to just use
Storm Wave but if you are in the middle of a breach, walking up to an abyssal area, or just can clearly see that there are just a shit ton of mobs that are somewhat connected to each other then those are the optimal times to just rotate between
Flicker Strike,
Reaper's Invocation, and followed by another
Flicker Strike and just repeat that process.
For Map Bosses, the ideal scenario is that you walk into the boss arena with duration left over on your charged staff and a FRESH set of 7 power charges so that if the boss does any goofy like RP stuff before hes actually attackable your power charges wont run out. Assuming you can pull that off, takes a little bit of practice, all you have to do from that point is whack the boss with one
Storm Wave to apply shock/chill/(potentially ignite as well), then use
Infernal Cry, followed by
Flicker Strike and he will just flop over.
Pinnacle Boss Rotation - PLEASE REFERENCE THE BOSSING VARIANT TO VISUALLY SEE THE REQUIRED SKILL GEM SWAPS (This is ONLY necessary if you want to one shot pinnacle bosses and is NOT necessary for map bosses, assuming you have somewhat decent gear)
BEFORE THE BOSS FIGHT STARTS - Swap out your
Herald of Ash and
Reaper's Invocation For
Sacrifice and
Profane Ritual (Reference the bossing showcase section of the video guide to see some tips on how to do this really easily without cluttering up your inventory at all). Additionally, go ahead and swap your support gems on
Flicker Strike, I like to keep all of my bossing support gems inside of my
Raise Shield skill so that way they dont have to clutter my inventory. Unfortunately, Perpetual Charge doesnt fit in any of our other skills so you have to throw that into your inventory BUT Ancestral Call II can go inside of your quarterstaff strike and both Rapid Attacks II + Pinpoint Critical can just go inside of
Raise Shield. Your
Flicker Strike's 5 support gems should now be Ambrosia, Elemental Armament II, Overextend, Concentrated Area and Inevitable Critical. EDIT: Garukhan's Resolve is likely significantly better than Elemental Armament II for the bossing setup, testing this tomorrow morning and will confirm.
Next Step is to swap to weapon set 2 so that you have a bunch of
Skeletal Warrior's summoned which are coming from your
Rattling Sceptre, you can now use
Profane Ritual on these skelly boys thanks to
Sacrifice to get 7 power charges, go back to weapon set 1 to cast
Charged Staff then back to weapon set 2 to get 7 more power charges for
Flicker Strike.
Boss Fight Starts -
Storm Wave as many times as it takes to apply chill/shock to the boss (and ignite if you have fire damage on gear and are using
Echoing Flames), this should only take 1, 2 or 3 AT MOST uses of
Storm Wave. Once those ailments are applied immediately cast
Infernal Cry SPECIFICALLY three times in a row, our support gems are what allow us to repeat cast it. After that use
Flicker Strike and watch the magic happen.
Spirit Gems/Requirements Explained
If you are using an unset ring and making use of
Ghost Dance you will need exactly 200 spirit to mimic my setup (recommended). This is relatively easy to achieve thanks to
Lead me through Grace... ascendancy node. If you combine that ascendancy node with a body armour that has 1000+ Evasion AND 400+ Energy shield then you are already good to go, and I guarentee you that if you use my trade link up above you can find one for 3 divines or cheaper. IF YOU ARE ON A BUDGET - I recommend you just forego the unset ring altogether and that makes it so you only need 170 spirit and then you can also get a cheaper chest piece as well, but keep in mind that this build is not exactly "friendly" to the idea of trying to FORCE it to work on a particularly low budget (less than 10 divines). Instead you should farm up some currency with the regular storm wave setup that doesnt rely on crit or the extensive levels of defense that
Flicker Strike wants.
Passive Tree
THE PASSIVE TREE PRIORITY IS NOT MEANT TO BE FOLLOWED 1:1 (Read Below)
AS LONG AS YOU HAVE EVERYTHING IN THE PASSIVE TREE PRIORITY UP TO
Melding YOU SHOULD BE FINE. But I would not try to swap into this build before that.
Melding,
Immaterial,
Echoing Frost,
Echoing Flames, and
Echoing Thunder are not required to make the build *Function* which is why you can switch before having those.
I Would NOT Recommend Trying To Make This Build Work, Or More Specifically Try To Make Flicker Strike Work Until You Are At Least Level 85 Give Or Take A Few Levels.
If you are making a fresh character then you should reference this guide - https://youtu.be/MiuuWcG6u8g - To Get From Level 65 to 85 simply continue to use the storm wave setup and prioritize regular damage/defensive nodes on the passive tree - essentially everything on the passive tree from the leveling guide + whats on this passive tree EXCLUDING the critical chance and critical damage points those should be swapped into at the same time that you want to swap into the full flicker strike setup.
