Build Overview

Walk around with Corpsewade creating poison gas clouds via Decompose automatically as you step. Plague Bearer to keep the gas going and create corpses. Weapon swap to target your own Bind Spectre minions instead to gas bosses. Easily walk (or sprint) through all content

Explanation of Decompose (Corpsewade) and build: How It Works section

Leveling strategy (1 to 58)

- Please check out my Full Pathfinder Leveling Guide with step-by-step sections to help gearing, selecting passives, and new player tips

- Corpsewade can be bought at a low level requirement and used early if you want

- Venoms(Quest reward): Stun threshold, Tattoos: 5% resistances

- Level 58 is required before you can start following the Starter variant of this build. Sacrifice unlocks at 58 and is mandatory

Please read the guide and FAQ

If you still have questions, you can contact me via Skadoosh_C twitch dm's, Youtube comment, or SkadooshDecomposed in-game.

Build Variants

This is the Uber Endgame variant that transitions from the Endgame one. Requires a lvl 90+ character and a decent amount of currency

Note that most of the gear shown is NOT needed to start this variant; it is only something to aspire to and build towards

- Stat priority:

- Elemental Resistance (minimum 75%, don't need Chaos resistance)

- Spirit

- Energy Shield and Evasion

- Minion Skill levels

- Rarity

- Set 1 190+ spirit is needed for all spirit gems, use Perfect Essence of Command for aura magnitude

- Set 2 Now a Stoic Sceptre, with 190+ spirit and level of all minion skills and Minion increased maximum life. Trenchtimbre now has 2x Talisman of Thruldana. This requires that it be corrupted for an extra socket. Make sure that it still has +2 to level of all minion skills.

- Corpsewade with Decompose lvl 20 for 5 sockets

- All other items should follow the stat priority. Don't copy exactly what I have above, it is only example of good stats without resistance

- Darkness Enthroned with Gloves modfier, ideally 100%+ effect (or good corruption, evasion rating) and 2 or 3 charm slots, socketed with Courtesan Mannan's Rune of Cruelty for bosses

- Against the Darkness with damage as extra chaos once you are lvl 94-96 (if rich, then spirit too)

- Prism of Belief with +3 to Bind Spectre if you can afford it

- Sapphire/Emerald's with poison scaling: trade link

- Amulet distilled emotion: I recommend Lasting Trauma

Alternatives

- Headhunter is a very good belt for mapping, but replace for Darkness Enthroned on bosses

- Corpsewade ilvl 90 with 2+ sockets

- Gloves with 2+ sockets and 100% effect of socketed items, can mix Courtesan Mannan's Rune of Cruelty and Fenumus' Rune of Draining

- Ming's Heart Can provide an insane amount of damage, but the downside is low defence. If you want to oneshot bosses then there isn't a better ring

- Aurseize can be used if more rarity is wanted

- Rite of Passage with a movespeed related buff

Discipline

- Set 1 skills: Blasphemy, Withering Presence, Plague Bearer, Contagion, Ghost Dance, Ravenous Swarm

- Set 2 skills: Bind Spectre, Grim Feast. Bind Spectre requires that you specifically set the amount summoned per set. Put it at the max possible (ideally 3) for set 2, and 0 for set 1

Tips

- Create several Bind Spectre gems of any level, Lesser Jeweller's Orb and Vaal Orb them. Once you get a Bind Spectre gem with +1 to level from corruption you can upgrade it with a lvl 20 skill gem.

- For pinnacle bosses you can put the following support gems into Plague Bearer: Withering Touch, Astral Projection/Deliberation/Concentrated Area, Corrosion, Arakaali's Lust, Uul-Netol's Embrace.

- For Decompose you can replace Encroaching Ground (maybe also Prolonged Duration II) for Exploit Weakness (Poison III/Admixture)

- Convalescence only if you have a Unset Ring and 30 extra spirit in both sets

- Discipline is the one from set 1 Stoic Sceptre, only add supports if you have extra spirit

- Lineage gem priority: Arakaali's Lust > Dialla's Desire > Uul-Netol's Embrace > Uhtred's Augury > Uhtred's Omen

- Quality ALL (except Bind Spectre)

- Take a mix of Dexterity and Intelligence (splash of strength for Stoic Sceptre's if needed)

- If you feel you have enough clearing damage, you can replace Low Tolerance for Marathon Runner for extra movement speed (remove 1 small 2% ms passive next to Blur)

Frequently Asked Questions

- I can't use my weapon set passive points, why?

You first need normal passive points before you can split them with the weapon set points. So to apply the max 24 weapon points for each set, you first need 24 normal passive points available to use

- How come I can't summon Bind Spectre's each time I swap weapons?

When one of our Bind Spectre's die, it start the minion respawn timer. Normally takes up to 11-18 seconds before they can spawn again. When outside combat, weapon swapping bypasses this timer, and always spawns your minions instantly. When in-combat however, you need to wait for this timer to run out first or use Grim Feast to resummon them a limited number of extra times

- My minions have a X MINUTE respawn timer?!

This happens due to the game letting you have more minions selected than your spirit allows. Make sure to press the - (minus) button to reduce the amount of minions you have until the + (plus) lights up, and click that once

- Why aren't my Bind Spectre's summoned when I swap to set 2?

First thing to check is the skill gem section of the current variant you are playing. Each skill should only be active on one of the two sets. Bind Spectre requires that you specifically set the amount summoned per set. Put it at the max possible for set 2, and none for set 1. This is all done in the skill specific stat window. First access skill gem menu (default G), then click the small arrow on the right side next to the DPS number for a particular skill and then on the menu that appears bottom right checkboxes. Refer to Dual Specialisation gem section

- Why is my Plague Bearer doing so little damage?

The higher the level of Plague Bearer, the significantly more damage it can deal. Focus this over other intelligence spirit gems early

- What do I do when my Decompose clouds keep exploding/burning?

Use Persistent Ground III!

- Where can I find the answer to a question that's not in the FAQ?

A likely scenario is that the question is already answered in the main bulk of the guide. Please read it fully, I'm begging you. If you still can't find the answer, then you can contact me via Skadoosh_C twitch dm's, Youtube comment, or SkadooshPoisonWalk in-game (just /w)

How it Works

Video Explanation

This build revolves around the Decompose skill that gets cast every time you take a step with Corpsewade boots equipped. It automatically targets dead enemies around you (corpses), consuming them to create poison clouds that slowly expand. It does chaos damage based on the life of that enemy before it died, meaning it scales with monster level.

Sacrifice allows Decompose to trigger on our own undead minions (Bind Spectre), meaning we can spawn poison clouds without needing to kill something first. Thus Decompose will do more damage the more life the Bind Spectre has.

To spawn Bind Spectre's to create poison clouds when we need them, we use weapon swapping. This way we can have all our de-buffs and buffs active on Set 1, minions and Sacrifice active on Set 2, thus effectively doubling our usable spirit. So when we swap to Set 2 our minions instantly spawn next to us and Decompose targets them as we step.

Each Bind Spectre targeted by Decompose will spawn it's own poison cloud. Each cloud applies one poison per 2 seconds up to a maximum poison capacity. With Stacking Toxins, Building Toxins, 2x Talisman of Thruldana and Overwhelming Toxicity our maximum poison capacity becomes 10. More poison clouds = more poisons per second, NOT more damage. It just means you reach the poison capacity faster, and stay at max longer.

When one of our Bind Spectre's die, it will start the minion respawn timer. Normally it can take 10-16 seconds before they can spawn naturally again. When outside combat, weapon swapping bypasses this timer, and always spawns your minions instantly. When in-combat however, you usually have to wait, luckily Grim Feast can ressurrect your minions. You can keep casting it until you don't summon any more minions before swapping back to Set 1. Decompose clouds last long enough that you don't need to resummon minions often anyway.

During maps, we don't want to wait for this timer before we can spawn clouds, so we use Plague Bearer instead for killing packs of monsters. As long as a couple monsters survive, Decompose will target the corpses of stuff we kill and poison those remaining monsters. This refills our Plague Bearer instantly meaning we can use it again for the next pack of monsters. When targeting Plague Bearer with Astral Projection make sure to hit several packs of monsters, we don't want to kill everything with one cast, Decompose should clean up stragglers.

Plague Bearer will only gather poison when using Set 1. Make sure to stay in Set 1 whenever possible, as our de-buffs such as Blasphemy with Temporal Chains and Despair are only active when that set is equipped.
