Build Overview

Here's my guide for my Falling Thunder/Flicker Invoker League Starter and Endgame Build for Patch 0.4 The Last of the Druids!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

🚨Work in Progress, be sure to come by the Twitch Stream for the Newest Skill Tree and Gems as I'm changing it to test new things!🚨

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

🚨I've included a League Starter Leveling Guide, Early Mapping Guide, and Endgame Guide to cover your run on Monk from Start to Finish. Click the appropriate Tab for Gear and the Passive Tree🚨

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We use Whirling Assault to clear packs and kick off our Power Charge Generation. We'll use Cast on Critical with a Low Level Profane Ritual to generate Power Charges when mapping to fuel either/both Falling Thunder and/or Flicker Strike for our main clearing skills.

Power Charges in Boss fights come from Hand of Chayula, Culmination II, and Ailith's Chimes. You'll build up Combo by hitting the target with your Strike Skill, use Hand of Chayula to expend that Combo and be granted Power Charges thanks to Ailith's Chimes.

Falling Thunder will use Nova Projectiles which no longer has the 40% Less Damage line on it. This means we'll be able to clear in a 360° circle without the damage reduction. This is HUGE for clear speed and allows us to clear giants packs of monsters very quickly.

Flicker Strike also becomes usable thanks to the INSANE amount of Power Charges we generate with Cast on Critical, Profane Ritual, and the newly buffed The Soul Springs Eternal which now has "Meta Skills have 50% increased Spirit Reservation Efficiency." This reduces the cost ofCast on Critical!

Our Single Target DPS is taken care of by Falling Thunder or Flicker Strike. We generate Power Charges in Boss Fights using Ailith's Chimes and Culmination II. We'll mix in Mantra of Destruction for 71% Extra Damage as Chaos, Elemental Conflux for 74% More Fire/Cold/Lightning Damage, Sniper's Mark boosted by Hand of Chayula for 133% Increased Critical Damage Bonus, and an optional Powertread Boot Swap on Ubers to ONE SHOT UBER PINNACLE BOSSES!

We use Wind Dancer and Ghost Dance to stack tons of Evasion and Energy Shield Recovery on Hit. Currently we have 6.5K ES, 75% Evasion, and 70% Deflect. We also recover nearly 1K ES on hit thanks to Ghost Dance. We'll use Chaos Inoculation to be Immune to Chaos damage and use Shavronne's Satchel + Ultimate Life Flask with Instant Recovery to Heal our Energy Shield on demand!

Hollow Palm Technique has been NERFED pretty considerably along with Combo using Culmination II. This means no more Hands and now use Quarterstaff. It may be viable in the campaign but would swap off of it around Act 4/Endgame ESPECIALLY if you still want to One Shot Ubers!

You DO NOT need 2 Weapons since we use Weapon Sets! In 0.3 they made it so you can lock your Weapon's to BOTH Weapon Sets. Just hover your weapon and you'll notice a Lock icon. Click this to Lock your Weapon to BOTH Sets!

Build Variants

Watch my Latest YouTube Video for full explanation on how to combo the skills and get big DPS!!!!

This Variant will be using Whirling Assault to start the Power Charge generation chain. Once we get some Power Charges, use Charged Staff to Add Tons of Lightning Damage to Attacks, and then Falling Thunder + Nova Projectiles I to clear large packs or Flicker Strike. We'll sustain charges with Cast on Critical and a Level 7 Profane Ritual.

You'll need sufficient Critical Hit Chance to use Cast on Critical VS Reaper's Invocation!!! Minimum 60% Crit Chance on Whirling Assault before swapping or Energy Generation may feel lacking!

I use both Flicker Strike and Falling Thunder but feel free to use whichever you want. Both have very similar Bossing and Mapping capabilities so it comes down to preference.

You'll delete Uber Pinnacles and Map Bosses using Flicker Strike or Falling Thunder. You'll smack the Boss with Whirling Assault to build 20 Stack of Combo. You'll use either Mantra of Destruction with Delayed Gratification and Ailith's Chimes or Hand of Chayula with Culmination II + Ailith's Chimes to generate at least 5 Power Charges. Use these Charges to activate Charged Staff. Repeat the previous steps to get 5 more Power Charges, Mark the Boss with Hand of Chayula, use Mantra of Destruction for some extra damage, and Flicker Strike or Falling Thunder the Boss. If it doesn't go down in 1 go, regain Power Charges and go again.

We'll use Falling Thunder with Nova Projectiles I to clear on occasion and Herald of Thunder + Herald of Ice will help clean up any stragglers. Our Defenses are Evasion and Energy Shield so we'll go with Wind Dancer. If you like to control your ES sustain then possibly try Convalescence or Meditate!

Once you have enough Spirit, you can take Elemental Conflux to give you a HUGE DPS boost. I'll be testing this alongside Trinity.

We'll spec into Chaos Inoculation once we have around 4K Energy Shield and the Shavronne's Satchel with an Instant Recovery Life Flask! This is HUGE because Chaos Damage has a 2x Damage Multiplier against Energy Shield. This mitigates one of the BIGGEST Weaknesses of Energy Shield!

Quarterstaff:

DO NOT BUY THE Dreaming Quarterstaff !!!!!! This is a 0% Critical Hit Chance Base and will destroy your DPS!!!!

You'll want to prioritize getting the Highest DPS Quarterstaff you can afford. Prioritize Lightning, Cold, and Physical! The most important affixes are going to be Level of Attack/Melee Skills and Critical Strike Chance! These are going to help scale our DPS and reach a 100% Chance to Critically Hit. Other good affixes to look for are Increased Elemental Damage with Attacks, Increased Critical Damage Bonus, and Increased Attack Speed.

You'll need 1 line of Leech Phys Damage as Mana on either Weapon, Gloves, or Rings to make Oisín's Oath work!!!!

Body Armor:

You'll want an ES/EV Hybrid Base with AS MUCH ES/EV AS POSSIBLE. The More ES/EV, the More Spirit you'll have for the build thanks to Lead me through Grace.... Otherwise get whatever needed Attributes or Resistances as needed.

Our Spirit comes from Lead me through Grace... Ascendancy Node and you should have 100 Base Spirit from the Campaign. If you have a fat Body Armor and still seem to be lacking Spirit, this could be why.

Try to get Gain Deflection Rating as it'll greatly increase your Deflection Chance. Deflection is a chance to have 40% Damage Reduction when hit. This is great for increasing our Hit pool.

Gloves:

An EV/ES, EV, or ES pair of Gloves will work. Go for Flat Damage, +2 Level of Melee Skill, Attack Speed, Attributes, and any Resistances that you can get. You'll need 1 line of Leech Phys Damage as Mana on either Weapon, Gloves, or Rings to make Oisín's Oath work!!!!

If you can afford it, use 1 Talisman of Sirrius for the Attack Speed. If you have extra sockets, use to fill out Resistances or Attributes so you can fit Rarity into the build!

Helmet:

Go ES Helmet since we use Subterfuge Mask. Go for High Energy Shield (350-450+), Critical Hit Chance, Resistances, Attributes, Rarity, and Energy Shield Recharge Rate.

Since Subterfuge Mask gives +2 Evasion Per 1 Energy Shield on your Helmet, a 400 ES Helmet also has 800 Evasion Rating making this node AMAZING!

I'll eventually grab a Jiquani's Thesis to give us a TON of Mana but very very expensive. DO NOT WASTE ON GARBAGE HELMET!!!!

Boots:

An EV/ES, EV, or ES pair of Boots will work. Go for Gain Deflection, 30-35% Movement Speed, Attributes, Rarity, and any Resistances that you can get.

You can alternatively swap to Powertread when fighting Uber Pinnacles if you need some more Damage to get the One Shot!

Belt:

This slot is up to you, but I recommend the Shavronne's Satchel. This allows our INSTANT Life Flask to also heal our Energy Shield. This is an instant recovery for when we need it.

You could also use Ingenuity for extra stats on your rings or Headhunter. There is a newly updated Lineage Support Gem that gives Headhunter functionality to Strike Skills called Einhar's Beastrite. Keep this in mind as a possible replacement.

Amulet:

Any Amulet early on works but I would prefer either Stellar Amulet, Jade Amulet, or Lapis Amulet. Go for Increased Evasion Rating, Increased Global Defenses, Increased Maximum Energy Shield, Level of Melee Skill, Critical Hit Chance, and any needed Resistances and Attributes.

Anoint with Stormcharged. You could also anoint Patient Barrier instead of pathing to it for tons of ES. You could go with Subterfuge Mask instead and path to Patient Barrier if wanted. This anoint may change with testing soon.

Rings:

If possible, get 2 Unset Ring as this will allow us to slot in Extra Skill/Spirit Gems. We have an overflow of Spirit this league from buffs to The Soul Springs Eternal and Elemental Conflux having its cost reduced. Only do so if your Resistances are capped and you have sufficient Rarity!

You'll need 1 line of Leech Phys Damage as Mana on either Weapon, Gloves, or Rings to make Oisín's Oath work!!!!

Prioritize Flat Lightning Damage but any will suffice, % Increased Lightning is fine but not optimal. Otherwise fill out any needed Resistances, Rarity, and Attributes or Leech Mana.

Jewels:

I use the Heart of the Well which can give Gain Extra Damage as Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Chaos for HUGE Damage. Expect to spend BIG for a two line Gain Extra Damage but it makes and insane boost. Increased Mana Cost Efficiency is also a GREAT line to reduce Mana Cost of Skills!

I like to use a Time-Lost Sapphire with Critical Hit Chance and place it next to Stupefy to allow all the Nodes around that area to grant us extra bonuses. Not required by would take this at some point since there's so many Notables we take around this Jewel Socket.

The Uber Jewel I will use is a Megalomaniac with an Offensive and Defensive Notable.

I like Defensive Nodes such as Pocket Sand, The Wild Cat, Afterimage, Inner Faith, Patient Barrier, Chakra of Breathing, and Storm Driven.

I like Offensive Nodes such as Stormcharged, Harness the Elements, Stormbreaker, Overwhelming Strike, Sundering, Deadly Flourish, Reaching Strike, and Rapid Strike.

These are just a few but I wanted to give examples as you don't have to have the same Notables as me. There are better options out there!

Watch my Latest YouTube Video for full explanation on how to combo the skills and get big DPS!!!!

You'll use Whirling Assault that's boosted by Charged Staff to kills targets and start generating Power Charges. Cast on Critical will activate once you Critically Hit enough to consume corpses with a Level 7 (Less Mana Consumption) Profane Ritual and give you Power Charges, these can be used to either activate Charged Staff, Falling Thunder, or Flicker Strike.

Oisín's Oath will allow your to Leech Mana using Elemental Damage as long as you have 1 Line of Leech Phys Damage as Mana on your gear! Use this or slot in Mana Remnants to sustain Mana.

Use Falling Thunder combined with Nova Projectiles I to clear large packs of monsters. If you find yourself getting stunned mid animation, be sure to check that you have the Stun Threshold nodes on the tree. Flicker Strike can be used for mapping as well but the pack size nerfs have reduced the chain effects.

Hit the boss with Whirling Assault to build 20 stacks Combo on Mantra of Destruction or Hand of Chayula. By using Mantra of Destruction / Hand of Chayula, you'll consume this built up combo to give you at least 5 Power Charges. These Charges can be used to either buff yourself with Charged Staff, Flicker Strike, or slam with Falling Thunder.

Cast on Critical generates Energy whenever you Critically Hit Targets with Attacks. Once enough Energy is built up it'll Auto-Cast Profane Ritual which will consume corpses and grant you Power Charges.

Herald of Thunder will activate thanks to Charged Staff adding Lightning Damage to Attacks and help clear a little better. Wind Dancer and Ghost Dance are there to boost of Defenses. Elemental Conflux will greatly boost our Elemental DPS.

We focus on Nodes to Stack Maximum Power Charges like Overflowing Power and The Power Within (Lust for Power Moved in 0.4). You'll need to get our Critical Hit Chance as high as possible with Nodes like Moment of Truth, True Strike, Struck Through, etc...

Stack ES, EV, and Deflection using Subterfuge Mask, Enhanced Reflexes, High Alert, and Mindful Awareness so we have a sufficient Hit Pool when mapping.

Build Blind using Blinding Strike and Distracted Target to increase our DPS and help cap our Critical Hit Chance out. This will also increase our Evasion Rating and Accuracy against Blinded Targets.

Dizzying Hits and Stupefy will provide a solid Crit and Damage boost since we'll have a solid chance to Daze on Hit. The Fabled Stag will help extend our Flicker Strike and give us a chance to not consume charges.

Chaos Inoculation will make us Immune to Chaos Damage and allow us to go with Shavronne's Satchel with an Instant Recovery Flask for ES Sustain!

Take I am the Thunder... for the Extra Lightning Damage and Magnitude of Shock, Sunder my Enemies... so on Critical Hit we can ignore Elemental Resistances, Lead me through Grace... so we can stack a TON of Spirit, and lastly The Soul Springs Eternal to Increase our Energy Generation and eventually reduce the cost of Cast on Critical.

Atlas Tree

This is my current Map Farming Juice strat. This has been the best the Atlas has been yet. Abyss is really OP
