Build Overview

Hey guys, here is my lightning spear invoker build. Lightning Spear is so powerful that I wanted to make a version of it that gets a reasonable amount of defense compared to huntress which is a bit on the squishier end.

Why invoker over huntress or deadeye? The answer is quite literally just defense, if you are looking for maximum damage you should play the other ascendancies instead. Invoker gets access to Meditate and Lead me through Grace... from its ascendancy which allows us to get enough spirit to run all of our auras(allows for using a shield over sceptre) and get double ES from Meditate.

Invoker also gets Sunder my Enemies... which boosts our damage vs tanky rares or bosses.

Build Variants

The gear below cost me roughly 10-15 divines and I would estimate my single target dps to be somewhere between 300-500k with a LOT of room to grow.

Annoint Subterfuge Mask to take advantage of the evasion it provides.

This is just my current character's gear as it sits, use this as a guideline for the general affixes that you want on your items. The gear can get much more minmaxed from here but I would call this a mid tier budget setup.

Jewels can be one %ES, %mana on kill and ailment threshold. Rest can be damage emeralds with MS/crit/EV or even stack %ES Sapphires with crit damage bonus for more defense. If you are getting annoyed by stun consider investing in stun threshold sapphires.

Link Barrage with the new support inhibitor so it doesn't steal your charges.

Decided against using rhoa due to heavy stun being annoying and went blink instead, can use Ingenuity support on it for maps if you prefer.

Red lines are weaponset one with spear/shield. Green lines are weaponset two which you will use a focus with cast speed and energy shield recharge rate so that your Meditate goes faster.

How it Plays

Throw Lightning Spear every second or two while clearing, sometimes use Storm Lance on tanky rares or bosses. Make sure you pay attention to your frenzy charges when throwing Storm Lance. Use Barrage for additional clear when you feel like pressing it.
