Build Overview

Glacial Warrior is a very well rounded build that combines good damage, tankiness and map clear speed while being super fun to play due to explosions from Shield Wall and Herald of Ice

For damage scaling we abuse The Vertex (equipment) which allows us to use Giant's Blood and 2 handed weapons for free. That gives us substantial amount of extra damage due to bonuses from + melee skills and other stats on 2 handed weapons.
Of course simultaneously we use Shield Wall, which also receives bonuses from + melee skills, giving us very good map clear and decent single target damage at the same time.

Defensively we try to stack as much armour and armour applies to elemental as we can, while getting life and resistances. We use a shield so that's additional defence and block chance, but we also have nice additional defensive layers, like pdr from Encase in Jade, big shields from Fortifying Cry or armour applies to chaos damage mod on the shield, making us very resistant against chaos damage as well.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • - Amazing aoe clear
    - Decent single target damage
    - Very tanky and safe
    - Decent map clear speed
    - Can farm any content
  • - Might be on the expensive side to reach very high numbers

Build Variants

On lower budgets:

- You don't need +2 melee skills on your gloves, just skip it
- Try to get an amulet with +3 to skills, all attributes and life. Other stats are not important
- The rest should be relatively cheap
