Build Overview

Poe2 0.3 will add Blackflame Covenant which will change all flames purple and convert our fire dmg to chaos. The primary spell used in this build will be Fireball which saw some huge changes revolving around the new infusion mechanic. Additonally we will use the new Living Bomb and Snap spells to generate infusions with the new Spirit Gem Siphon Elements.
For additional power we are also using a Ember Fusillade setup as a single target enhancer.

!!UPDATE PATCH 0.3.0b: Ember Fusillade was nerfed by making Wildshards always fire in all directions. To circumvent this i made the build work around Multishot II. This will cut into the performance but it now the most consistent way to get projectiles up for single target.

THIS BUILD IS LOW BUDGET! We are not using any expensive uniques that would require us to sell our liver.

!!!Crafting Notes:

Early on Essences and the new Abyss mechanic are great options! Poe2DB offers you insight into all the mods that can roll on items.


For the % chance to to fire 2 additional projectiles we have the option to roll this as an unveil (abyss mechanic) on staff Item lvl 65. Grab a staff with an open suffix, activate an Omen of the Souvereign and use a T2 spine to get this one guaranteed! No need for the 35chaos runes this early. Later you can easily swap when you make your GG wand/focus setup.

For +3 spell levels on the wand and focus you can use a Perfect sorcery essence. It will change one of the suffixes on the item! If you are lucky you can get some really good stuff crafted this way.


Heart of the Well:

The right base for the job:
Generally you want ES bases, however, during your gearing progression you will notice that stats are more important. Around T5-10 maps you can start to swap to ES gear and should be fully swapped at T15. Good gear and Lvl 85+ should net you around 4k ES with arouznd 2.7k Life + 50% Healthoverflow.

Build Variants

Current setup after finishing Act 1. Once you get to the Living Bomb + Fireball combo you will be set and destroy act 1. Make sure to pick up the act 1 skilltree for as much spelldmg as possible!

Grab +2 lvls on the staff ASAP, extra dmg as well as increased fire or spelldmg is also amazing, getting all 3 on the staff will make this one carry you through the campaign. On the socket grab spell dmg! At 200% adding 20% is still a 10% total dps increase, which is better than just 6% extra.

Rarity, life, movementspeed and resistances are all great to have, especially for the act boss, but you can beat him with just around 30% cold because of your absurd dmg.

Lvl 1-5: Spark + Frost Bomb + Flame Wall will be your bread and butter. Once you can grab a lvl 3 gem you can spec into Living Bomb first.

Lvl 5-16: Living Bomb + Fireball will be your bread and butter. Firebolt if you do not have mana. Solar Orb in your offhand staff as additional dmg! We will later grab Withering Presence but at this point we have not switched to chaos dmg yet.

Grab as much spelldmg and increased dmg as possible! The Potent Incantation cluster moved by 1 stat node to the left, which makes it a nice pickup for A LOT of extra dmg.

How it Plays

Its basically a 2 button build alternating between Living Bomb and Fireball. Its super fun and visually great to look at, however no visual clarity is to be seen. Infusions are no problem on this build, its very tanky and high sustain. However a bit swingy, so nothing for HC.
For additonal power in single target fights i added the Ember Fusillade skill, which also help vs high mobility targets!
Blasphemy with a ton of curse magnitude slows everything that comes close to us by 30%, making swarming enemies not an issues anymore. The dmg later on is insane, but it takes a bit to get there! Very good gear progression!

How it Works

Infusion generation:

We will not be focusing on just Living Bomb as out only way to generate infusions, combined with Snap to get on demand stacks!

Siphon Elements further improves our generation here. With additional gems we will also be able to secure even more infusions for us, letting us bombard enemies with projectiles.
