Build Overview

This is Build Guide for my RAMPAGE SPEED BEAR Druid Build for League Starter and Endgame for 0.4 and 0.5 Leagues.

Changes in 0.5 (Still Very STRONG!):

Since we don't use ES as the defense there, build avoided most of the 0.5 nerfs and should still be VERY strong and viable. It is a very good setup for Druid which can be very FAST compared to other melee options.

After the Nerf to Bhatair's Vengeance, it's required to get MORE Cold damage on gear + Extra Physical on Weapon to reliably explode. You will STILL explode, just need more investment to do it consistently.

❗ If you're not exploding with Herald of Ice, swap if for Herald of Ash until you get enough cold dmg to reliably explode.

▸ Why Bear Druid?

At the moment, Bear Druid is looking like both - build with a FAST map clear AND decent single target, all of that while being Tanky with armor stack + Defiance of Destiny.

To be FAST we are going to use Rampage Bear Skill which allow us to run forward with improved speed while Slaming everything around. With Decent Setup we can reach 120%+ Movement speed while in Rampage.

Combining Rampage with Walking Calamity + Herald for the Clear can be VERY effective to keep the speed, while Walking Calamity + Shockwave Totem + Rampage will decimate bosses.

▸Vendor REGEX (copy paste it in the vendor search in the game):

This regex will show you movement speed boots, +level to skills and attack speed items.

▸ Campaign Rewards:

Venom: Stun Threshold,

Tattoos: Resistances

Pillars: Resistances, Movement Speed or Global Defense

Shark Fin: Any, both are amazing, 30% a bit better

Order of Following Versions:

Act 1-3 --> Act 4-Inter --> Early Endgame --> Mid Endgame --> Late Endgame --> Min Max

❗Trade Links (Change the League to 0.5):

Cheap Scepter, Expensive Scepter, Against the Darkness, Heart of the Well

❗IMPORTANT MANA FIX:

To Fix the Mana situation you need to roll Physical Damage Leech as mana on your RING or a Weapon. This is MANDATORY to avoid running out of mana if you cast a lot.

If you just use Rampage - mana should be alright

❗How to Survive Better:

Capping CHAOS Resistance + Adding Life Flask with 30% Recovery applied Instantly can help to mitigate the damage over time effects as well.

Defiance of Destiny is helping with survivability a lot as well so get it if you can afford it.

▸ What kind of Weapon to Pick:

Talisman

For Bear Druid Build we will need to use Talisman which is a two handed melee weapon.

  • Perfectly you just need a high Physical Dmg one - if there is an option to go elemental instead, try to get flat Cold.
  • A stat that boost damage by A LOT is "Gain extra damage as Physical". It's HUGE. You need this for the Herald of Ice Explosions.
  • Other stat that boosts the DMG by A LOT is + level to Attack skills.
  • Other stats such as Attack speed are great to have, mostly for QoL.
  • Look for the Talismans that provide Rage as an implicit.

Talisman crafting is very deterministic currently, check this video for step by step process.

Sceptre

Thanks to the Lord of the Wilds we can use the sceptre to get TONS of damage and utility.

  • To fit Charge Regulation and Herald of Ice, you will need to get a Sceptre with 140+ Spirit.
  • Ideally 3 socket, 2 socket works too.

❗The base should provide ONE OF THE PURITY AURAS. Nothing else will work for us, ONLY Purity of Fire, Purity of Ice, Purity of Lightning

▸ Armour options

Generally, just focus on getting good rares with high base armour. For specific item pieces:

Body Armour

  • Get as high armour as you can get.
  • Life is mandatory to survive better, ideally T2-T1.
  • % of armour applies to elemental damage is an amazing stat that you really need to aim to get as high as you can to survive better.

Gloves

  • Getting + levels to melee skills on gloves is mandatory for better dmg.
  • Attack speed is great for damage and QoL.
  • To make the Herald of Ice explosions more stable in maps, get flat Cold Damage.
  • Flat Physical is good to aim for too.

Boots

  • Focus on getting as high movement speed as possible, preferably 35%, but don't disregard defensive stats either.
  • Get as many Resistances as you can and Life.

▸ Jewellery

Amulet

Defiance of Destiny is a very solid option there. OR You can roll a rare with Following:

  • + melee skills for more damage is very good to have
  • Get Mana Regen to improve Rage regeneration rate
  • Defensive stats like Life/Armour/Res
  • Instill Bestial Rage

Rings

  • Flat Physical damage to attacks for improved damage.
  • To make the explosions for your Herald of Ice more stable, get flat Cold Damage to Attacks
  • MANA Leech is mandatory on one ring to feel comfortable
  • Life Leech is also an option if you have space
  • Get Mana regeneration rate to improve your Rage regen
  • For defence it's Life and Resistances
  • If you can get more Chaos resistance from rings, it will help a lot

▸ Jewel Stats

Rares Jewels: In this version, you just need Movement speed + Attack damage on the one Rare jewel that you can use.

For Heart of the Well: you NEED Damage as Extra Cold (for Herald Explosions), other nice stats are Movement Speed and other Extra Damage.

▸ Tech for MORE DAMAGE

Lunar Assault + Bhatair's Vengeance can give 80-95% damage as Extra Cold based on your MAX Rage.

Attack any basic enemy with Lunar Assault → Freeze it and get the buff for ~60 seconds with the weapon swap tech explained below. Rinse and repeat.

▸ How to EXPLODE Screens

In order for your Herald of Ice to EXPLODE screens, you need to get the Bhatair's Vengeance buff.

First use Lunar Assault → Freeze any monster → THEN Rampage and shatter everything around you.

What you need to explode consistently:

  • Bhatair's Vengeance buff from Lunar Assault
  • ✔ Flat cold damage on rings + Gloves
  • Heart of the Well with Damage as extra Cold
  • ✔ Talisman with Damage as Extra Physical

❗If even after all that you still don't explode consistently, replace Stomping Ground to Embitter on your Rampage. Your Rampage damage will go down, but ice pops will be consistent.

▸ Rotation to use In Waystones:

Regenerate Rage -> Use Lunar Assault once for the buff -> Walking Calamity -> Rampage

When you are out of Rampage, just use Furious Slam a few times to clear and / or Maul to get rage back. reap the set after.

▸ How to Fight Bosses or Sturdy Rares:

Activate Walking Calamity -> Put Shockwave Totem x2 on the Ground -> run them over with your Rampage.

We are using Maul so the Bear will stand up and speed up Rampage significantly, so use these skills one after another.

❗Weapon Set Swaps

Now we can use Walking Calamity to get a HUGE QoL buff for Walking Calamity and the DPS buff that we get from Lunar Assault + Bhatair's Vengeance. These buffs will have very long duration and our gameplay will become much smoother.

To benefit from it fully:

  • 1. Lock your main weapon set to both weapon sets
  • 2. Assign Walking Calamity and Lunar Assault to WEAPON SET 2.
  • 3. All other active Skills (except for auras) SHOULD BE WEAPON SET 1.
  • 4. Allocate weapon set passives. Process step by step is in this video.

This way your Walking Calamity should be roughly 30 secs, and Lunar Assault around 60 secs.

▸ To save points, use From Nothing that jumps to Blood Magic

Use this trade link to buy it (Change the League to the one that you are currently playing if needed).

Nodes to take: Projectile Bulwark, Prism Guard, Vengeful Fury, In Your Face.

❗IF THE JEWEL IS TOO EXPENSIVE OR NOBODY SELLS IT:

Drop all points that Lead to Adrenaline Rush including the socket and reinvest the points into Projectile Bulwark + Vengeful Fury.

In Your Face can be taken as a part of a first weapon set instead of Impact Area and Reverberating Impact.

How it Works

If your Rampage gets interrupted

There can be several reasons why it's happening.

  • Make sure that you're holding the button. Since Rampage is a channeling skill, we need to actually press and hold the button while running
  • You shouldn't run INTO monsters. Just run close to them so that your stomps would kill everything.
  • You're running into walls. In narrow maps with tight corridors it helps to hold the mouse curson close too your character for a more precise control.
