Build Overview

This is my Lightning Spear Amazon League Starter. A great and simple mapping build that takes the Amazon ascendancy and utilizes it for fast and efficient mapping. The build is simple to play and very straightforward. If you want to throw some spears and watch things get zapped to death, while also being able to jump in for the kill then this build is for you.

Equipment Priority

Weapon

maximum physical or physical + lightning DPS you can get
accuracy on prefix is good as it synergizes with Penetrate
attack speed and critical damage bonus are the best suffixes, but get whatever you can

Body Armour

Spirit and Life are the main priorities
get as much resistances as you can
evasion is less important because we only get half of it due to Stalking Panther passive

Helmet

The Black Insignia is great for mapping - get the best rolls you can afford (they all matter, even evasion)

Gloves

Attack Speed is your best damage mod here, followed by Critical Damage and Flat Added Damage to Attacks
Get as much Life, Resistances and Evasion as you can (evasion matters a lot due to Stalking Panther)

Boots

Prioritize movement speed above everything else
Get as much Life, Resistances and Evasion as you can (evasion matters a lot due to Stalking Panther )

Ring 1

use the ring to fix your attributes and resistances if needed
life, evasion and added damage to attacks are your best prefixes
Emerald base will provide the most damage, but Resistance bases are also great

Ring 2

Death Rush has great modifiers for our build, as we benefit from Accuracy more than any other class. This ring is great for clear speed.

Belt

Get as much Life and Resistances as you can
Charm slots are useful but not mandatory
Utility Belt base is best for survivability due to instant recovery from your flasks

Amulet

Spirit, Life and Attributes are the main priorities
Anoint Price of Freedom to help with mana issues

Combat Frenzy + Herald of Thunder with Electrocute and Neural Overload can generate frenzy charges, as less spirit intensive alternative to the Cast on Shock with Sniper's Mark. You can also self cast the Sniper's Mark and generate frenzy charges that way. You can also swap between the Combat Frenzy setup for clear and Companion: {0} for bossing if your spirit doesn't allow you to fit everything.

Spirit Management

Typically you won't have enough spirit to run all 5 Buffs, so pick which ever one is least important for you. I like skipping Wind Dancer, but you might want to drop the Companion: {0} or Cast on Shock, in which case you want to run profusion in Combat Frenzy. You can also pick up reservation nodes for the Companion: {0} and Herald reservation nodes, and if you're not running the Companion: {0}, then spec out of those nodes.

The Weapon Set 2 pasives Freedom of Movement and Unhindered are there just to be able to swap your weapon to set 2 for maps with Temporal Chains in order to mitigate the slow and be faster.

The recommended Ascendancy Passives order is Critical Strike -> Stalking Panther -> Penetrate (if you have flat Accuracy on your weapon) -> Elemental Infusion

How it Plays

The gameplay is extremely simple and the build has been streamlined to avoid having to use extra buttons.

We clear with Lightning Spear and use it to apply shock. For rare and unique enemies that survive it - use Primal Strikes 3 times to consume the shock and apply Lightning Exposure. If there is no shock on the target - just keep using Lightning Spear until you get it, and only use Primal Strikes on shocked targets.
