Progression
Soulstones are an important part of progression in Task Bar Hero, and they should never be Alchemized for gold. They essentially function as keys to unlock the Act Boss Stages, which are the final test before advancing onto the next Act or Difficulty.
Upon entering an Act Boss Stage, the Soulstone will become locked in your Stash/Inventory until the fight ends. If you win, the Soulstone disappears. If you lose, it'll remain. Thankfully, there's no fear of failure, as you won't expend the Soulstone until you succeed.
Important Note:
The first time you complete the stage right before the boss (1-9, 2-9, 3-9), you are guaranteed to get a Soulstone drop. This includes every Difficulty tier, so as long as you don't get rid of it, you won't have to worry about blocking your own progression.

Soulstone Tiers
There are currently four grades of Soulstones, one for each Difficulty level. All of the three Act Bosses share the same Soulstone, so you're free to challenge whichever you'd like.
- Soulstone - Normal (Immortal Grade)
- Soulstone - Nightmare (Arcana Grade)
- Soulstone - Hell (Beyond Grade)
- Soulstone - Torment (Celestial Grade)

Farming
Soulstones can be found inside of Stage Boss Chests, so if you're hoping to farm them, make sure you're taking on a stage that you can consistently defeat.
Beyond progression, Soulstones offer the highest chance of good loot drops. Act Bosses are the main way to obtain Accessories outside of Crafting, and may also drop high-grade equipment.
If you're in need of stronger gear to move forward, Soulstones can be your ticket to the next level. And once you reach end game, they're the main resource you'll be looking forward to each day!
