Cube Alchemy Guide: Task Bar Hero (TBH)

In Task Bar Hero, the Cube is your all-in-one resource for crafting and enhancing your gear. There are multiple ways to use it, and each one has its own cost and benefits.

This quick guide will explain how the Alchemy mechanic works, but be sure to check out our other Cube guides below as you progress and unlock them!

Alchemy is unlocked by default alongside Synthesis, and functions as the game's way of "selling" items.

If you've got extra gear that you don't need (and don't want to Synthesize), you can convert it into gold to help progress your Runes.

An item's gold value is displayed at the bottom of its tooltip, but keep in mind that there are Runes (on the West and Northwest side) which can increase the amount gained.

Aside from that, Alchemy is as simple as it gets.

• While it may be tempting to convert items early on (especially to unlock the third hero slot), just know that gold will become far more accessible as you progress.
  
• We recommend converting some extra equipment (if not Synthesizing), but keeping any Crafting Materials and/or Soulstones.
  
• If you really want to maximize your value, consider hoarding your items until you unlock some Runes (on the West and Northwest side).
