Welcome to our tier list for the Ultron's Battle Matrix Protocol game mode.
These hero rankings are based on the meta that has formed since the mode has launched, with our experience from putting hours into the game and data from the top off the ladder.
Since it's a fresh meta for a new game mode, we'll be updating this Battle Matrix tier list throughout until the game mode ends on June 23.
In addition to these individual rankings, make sure to check out our Ultron's Battle Matrix Protocol Meta Team Comps.

S-tier (Meta-Defining)
In S-tier, you'll find the Battle Matrix heroes that are heavily influencing due to their inherent power.
You'll find them being used often at the top of the ladder in a variety of team comps.
Across the board, they have the most impactful abilities, hero modules, and scaling potential.
A+ Tier (Very Good)
The A-tier Battle Matrix heroes are powerful in their own right but are a cut below the very best.
They might have phases of the game where they aren't as strong or certain team comps they might have trouble against, but for the most part, you'll see them in top 3 placings.
A-tier (Good)
In A-tier are Battle Matrix heroes that are viable but are either more niche, lack consistency, or just don't offer the same level of power if you build around them compared to their upper counterparts.
For example, building around Hela with Thor and Loki to proc their team up is a potent strategy to build around, but it just isn't as good as building around S-tier heroes.
Wolverine and Human Torch are both wonderful tech choices if you're facing a lot of Vanguard comps in your lobby, but struggle if there are more Duelists and Strategists at play.
B-tier (Serviceable)
B-tier Battle Matrix heroes can shine in certain situations, but will almost always have a better replacement for the same niche they occupy.
They're definitely rarer to see, but you can find them being used from time to time at higher levels of play.
C-tier (Underpowered)
C-tier Battle Matrix heroes can be usable at certain points of the game, but it's hard to justify using them in most situations.
If you can make them work, please let us know as they're almost non-existent at higher levels of play.
D-tier (Avoid)
Spider-Man is the worst hero in Battle Matrix, he struggles to shine even if you build around him, since he just gets melted. Avoid using him unless you want to meme and experiment.
