How to Fast Travel in RuneScape Dragonwilds 1.0

Fast travel in RuneScape Dragonwilds lets you teleport between Lodestones by spending Law Runes. To build your own Lodestone, you first need to collect a Vault Core, which unlocks the building recipe.

You can start setting up your fast travel network early. Your first priorities are getting a Vault Core, placing a Lodestone somewhere useful and finding enough Law Runes for the journey. You can obtain those runes before unlocking the ability to craft them yourself.

The South Bramblemead Vault, in the southern part of Bramblemead Valley, is an early location where you can find a Vault Core. Look for the Vault entrance on your map and prepare before going inside.

Bring food, water and repaired equipment, and leave space for the loot you want to bring home. Vaults contain enemies and traps, so clear the route carefully instead of rushing straight towards the Core. Check side passages for useful supplies, including Rune Essence.

You can collect a Vault Core in this Vault before taking on its final boss. Picking up the Core unlocks the Lodestone recipe, so you can return to base and build your first one without finishing the optional boss fight.

Additional Vault Cores let you build more Lodestones as you explore. For your first trip, getting a Core home safely is enough to make progress.

To build a Lodestone, collect the following materials after unlocking its recipe:

• 32 Stone
• 20 Rune Essence
• 1 Vault Core

Open Build Mode, select the Lodestone and place it at your chosen location. Keep the arrival area clear and make sure you can reach it easily from your base.

There is already a Lodestone at the starting Saradomin temple in Temple Woods. Building one at your base gives you another point to travel between once you have Law Runes. You do not need to build two of your own before making use of the network.

Set aside the Rune Essence needed for construction before using the rest to make runes. Each additional Lodestone needs another Vault Core as well as the other building materials.

You can get Law Runes before reaching Runecrafting level 50 by using Law Rune Anima Vents found around Ashenfall and inside Vaults.

Anima Vents are the magical vents in the ground that let you turn Rune Essence into runes. Each vent produces a particular type of rune, so check which rune it offers when you approach. For fast travel, you need to find one that produces Law Runes.

Bring Rune Essence, interact with the Law Rune Anima Vent and use it to convert your essence into Law Runes. You can do this before unlocking Law Rune crafting at your own altar. Once you find a useful vent, mark its location on your map so you can return when your supplies run low.

The Runecrafting level 50 requirement applies to making Law Runes at your own Rune Altar. Until then, these vents provide a way to stock up for teleporting. Law Runes can also be found in chests while exploring.

Interact with a Lodestone to open the fast travel map, then choose another Lodestone as your destination.

1. Make sure you are carrying Law Runes.
2. Interact with the Lodestone you want to depart from.
3. Select your destination and check the displayed Law Rune cost.
4. Confirm the journey when you have enough runes.

Normal Lodestone travel starts at a Lodestone. Opening your map while exploring does not let you teleport from any location, so plan how you will reach a departure point as well as where you want to arrive.

The Law Rune cost depends on the distance you travel and the weight you are carrying. Check the amount shown for your selected journey instead of expecting a fixed cost for every teleport.

Store materials you do not need before leaving your base. A gathering trip can leave you carrying much more weight on the way back, so keep spare Law Runes for the return journey.

If you are short of runes, consider whether the trip can wait until you have restocked. Spending your whole supply on an outbound teleport can leave you with a long walk home.

Home Teleport is a Runecrafting Skill Spell that returns you to your claimed bed. It costs 15 Law Runes and has a 15-minute cooldown.

Once you have unlocked the spell, check which bed you have claimed and keep enough Law Runes in your inventory for the journey. Select Home Teleport from your available Skill Spells when you are ready to return.

Use it to head home after gathering materials or exploring, then unload your inventory, repair equipment and restock supplies. If you have claimed a bed at a temporary camp, remember that this will be your destination.

Your main base is a useful location for the first Lodestone you build. Place it near your storage and crafting area so you can unload supplies, repair equipment and prepare for another trip without crossing your whole settlement.

For your next Lodestone, think about the journeys you repeat most often:

• A Vault you regularly visit: Place it outside in an accessible spot to make return trips easier.
• A resource gathering area: Choose a location that cuts down a long journey to and from your base.
• A new area you are exploring: Establish a convenient return point once you know where you expect to spend time.

Start with the routes you already use. Adding a Lodestone somewhere you visit often gives your first few Vault Cores a clear purpose while you build up supplies for a larger network.
