Use your favourite features in-game with our Desktop AppThe Volcano Island is the fifth and final island in How to Fish. It introduces the Scientific Lure, Assault Rifle and the two part whale encounter that leads to the end of the game.
To complete the island, you must help the scientist, defeat the Bowhead Whale and use its body to summon the Mutated Bowhead Whale.

After defeating the Albatross on the Rocks Island, collect its Head and return it to the islander inside the shop. He will give you the coordinates for the Volcano Island.
Return to your boat and follow the new pink marker using your Radar. The Volcano Island is the final destination, so it is worth preparing before beginning its quests.
Visit the island’s shop to find the Scientific Lure and Assault Rifle.
The Scientific Lure costs $500 and can catch the final five regular creatures: Blobfish, Oarfish, Anglerfish, Stonefish and Superdwarf Fish. Check out our complete fish and lures guide if you are trying to finish your collection.
The Assault Rifle is a strong choice for the upcoming whale fights because it can consistently damage the bosses while they are moving. Purchase any useful damage upgrades and attachments you can afford before continuing.
Find the scientist wearing a yellow hazmat suit and speak to him to begin the island’s main quest. He will ask you to bring him five fish.
Any fish can be used for this objective. You can hand over fish you already have or catch new ones using the Scientific Lure.
After receiving all five fish, the scientist will give you the Fish Bucket. This is the special bait required to summon the Bowhead Whale.
Equip the Fish Bucket as bait and cast your Fishing Rod into the water surrounding the island. The Bowhead Whale will appear immediately, so make sure your weapon and healing food are ready.
The whale can charge across the ground and launch itself high into the air before crashing down. Keep moving, attack from a distance and sprint away whenever it begins its jumping attack.
After defeating the Bowhead Whale, pick up its entire body. Do not sell, cook or leave it behind, as the whale itself is needed for the final encounter.
Carry the defeated Bowhead Whale along the wooden path leading to the top of the volcano. Before dropping it into the crater, make sure you have your strongest ranged weapon and plenty of food for healing.
Throw the Bowhead Whale into the lava to summon the Mutated Bowhead Whale, the final boss of How to Fish.

After defeating the Mutated Bowhead Whale, search its drops and collect the Whale Fin. Take the Fin back to the scientist and he will reward you with the keys to the RHIB military boat.
Enter the RHIB and use the steering wheel to leave for the mainland. This completes the main story and begins the ending.
You can continue playing on the same save after the credits, allowing you to return to the islands and complete any unfinished collections or achievements.
