This walkthrough takes you through every step of Lighthouse Island, from catching and selling your first creatures to defeating the Spider Crab and travelling to the next island.

Start by speaking to the Lighthouse Keeper and collecting the clams scattered around the island. Clams can be eaten when you need food, but they can also be given to the Keeper in exchange for money.
Give him enough clams to afford the Basic Fishing Rod rather than eating everything you find.
The Basic Fishing Rod costs $3 and should be your first purchase. Equip the rod and use one of the free lures to begin catching the smaller creatures around the Lighthouse.
These smaller catches are not worth much, but they are easy to defeat and can be sold to build up more money. You do not need to purchase a weapon before catching them.
Once you have earned more cash, purchase either the Knife or Brass Knuckles. The Knife is a reliable early choice and can be sharpened using the anvil beside the Lighthouse.
You can then begin using Hotdog Lures, which cost $1 each and attract larger catches. These creatures are more dangerous, but they are also worth more money.
To leave Lighthouse Island, purchase the Beer Can and give it to the Lighthouse Keeper. He will return an empty can that can be equipped as a special lure.
Use the empty Beer Can as bait to summon the Spider Crab, the boss of Lighthouse Island. Defeat the Spider Crab, collect its meat and give it to the Lighthouse Keeper to complete his quest.

You will receive the boat keys as your reward, allowing you to leave Lighthouse Island and continue to the next island.
Before leaving, you can also purchase the Radar from the Lighthouse Keeper for $10. It will help you follow the coordinates towards your next destination instead of sailing across the ocean without direction.
All that’s left to do is get on the boat and make your way to your next adventure.
