The boss attacks using powerful charges, aerial body slams and lava that can quickly drain your health. Defeating it and returning the Whale Fin to the scientist allows you to finish the game.

Speak to the scientist wearing a yellow hazmat suit on Volcano Island. He will ask you to bring him five fish, and any fish can be used to complete the objective.
Once all five have been handed over, the scientist will give you the Fish Bucket needed to summon the Bowhead Whale.
Before using the Fish Bucket, make sure you have:
The Assault Rifle is one of the strongest options because it can continuously damage both whales while you remain mobile.
Equip the Fish Bucket as bait and cast it into the water surrounding Volcano Island. The regular Bowhead Whale must be defeated before you can summon its mutated form.
Keep your distance while firing and watch for its jumping attack. When the whale launches high into the air, stop attacking and sprint away from where it is attempting to land.
Once it has been defeated, pick up the complete Bowhead Whale. Do not sell or cook it, as its body is the trigger for the final boss.
Carry the defeated Bowhead Whale up the wooden path leading towards the volcano’s crater.
Dropping the body into the lava will immediately summon the Mutated Bowhead Whale. Make sure you have healed and equipped your weapon before throwing it in.
The Mutated Bowhead Whale can charge across the ground, launch itself into the air and scatter lava around the battlefield. Keep moving, avoid the lava and sprint away from its landing area whenever it jumps.
The safest time to attack is immediately after it finishes a charge or body slam. Deal as much damage as you safely can, then begin moving again before its next attack. The whale becomes more aggressive as the fight continues, so surviving is more important than forcing extra damage.
Once the Mutated Bowhead Whale has been defeated, search its drops and collect the Whale Fin.
Return the Whale Fin to the scientist in the yellow hazmat suit. He will give you the RHIB keys, allowing you to use the military boat and leave for the mainland.
