Axe Of Godrick Wylder Build (Playtest)

This build for Wylder revolves around charged attacks. Axe Of Godrick has a unique passive, making you deal AOE damage while charging heavy attacks.

If you’re not able to find Axe Of Godrick, alternative options could be Rusted Anchor, Great Omenkiller Cleaver, or Executioner's Greataxe.

Day 1

On Day 1, you should immediately kill small enemies around where you spawn to reach at least level 3.

After that, head to the nearest Lightning or Fire Settlement since these damage types are gonna be the best you can get until you get Axe Of Godrick. Loot every chest, and kill every enemy in hopes of finding the ideal weapon and additional weapons with any of the listed passive effects attached to them.

Look for churches and plan your route around them; this is a good rule of thumb since it's your only source of healing upgrades.

Day 2

On Day 2, head back to the Lightning or Fire Settlement to look for upgrades for your weapon and start looking for World Bosses such as Carian Knights and Dragons, these will have the highest chance of dropping your Axe Of Godrick or powerful character passives.

Similar as day one, look to route around churches if you don't have something else in particular you need.

Day 3

Day 3, immediately check the merchant’s inventory, see if he has anything worth buying over leveling up, such as weapon upgrades (Smithing Stones).

• To get the most out of this build, you should be using your grappling hook as often as possible, chaining attacks into the animation to lower the chance of trading swings.
• Anytime your Grappling Hook is on cooldown, try to get fully charged heavy attacks off since that’s the highest damage output you’ll be able to achieve.
• Additionally, jump attacks are also a great source of stagger damage, being faster than a charged heavy attack, putting you at less of a risk of getting hit.
