Build Overview

The Whirlwind Barbarian is a timeless classic in ARPGs. The Spin-To-Win playstyle is easy to master, powerful, fast and satisfying. Become an endlessly spinning blender, shooting Tornadoes all over the screen, decimating everything in your path. In the starter version we build our barb "normally", taking Maximum Life to stay alive. However, keep in mind when you want to transition into the immortal Melted Heart of Selig version where we must have 0 life on our gear. Check out the next tab to see what your gear is eventually going to look like and plan accordingly.

Runewords

Cir + Vex gives you +3 to all Skills.

Bac + Gar provides Critical Hit Chance that works great on almost any build.

Important! Weapon Damage on weapons you are not using (anything other than your 2H Mace) does nothing for you! Try to get any other stat in it's place.

The Crucible set is excellent for our build as we're trying to stay in Berserking permanently. Ultimately we gain:

Cast a random Shout every 5 sec
30% Damage to Elites

WOW!

The 2 godly stats to get on each charm are either +Maximum Resource to buff Aspect of Limitless Rage and Ramaladni's Magnum Opus for the later variants, or anything that buffs Whirlwind ranks like +Martial Skills.

Leveling Path

Channel Whirlwind infinitely to deal damage.

Use Rallying Cry whenever you're channeling Whirlwind to move faster and keep your Fury up.

Spam War Cry, Iron Skin and Challenging Shout whenever they're up.

Cast Wrath of the Berserker for a big damage boost on Elites or Bosses.

For the starter build we rush toward unlocking all glyph slots, maximizing their radii, and grabbing every legendary node.

Raheir will dive in to save you from a big hit, gives you increased damage and makes enemies take increased damage as well.

Aldkin provides you with 20% damage reduction when standing in his Field of languish. You need to level him up a bit to unlock this skill. Start off with Haunt until it's available.

Abandoned Overpower Stacking and removed Melted Heart of Selig variant. It's still possible to get nearly immortal using it and stacking Primary Resource instead of life. May add this variant back after testing it out in Season 14 again.
