Unleash The Ass Wrath.
Build Overview
Strengths and Weaknesses
- Crazy Speed
- Big Dam
- Mad Fun
- Squishy if you want to maximize damage
Build Variants
You can use this from 1-60 before you get Azurewrath.
Assigned Skills

Chain Lightning - triggers Azurewrath in the late game variant. Here, you're using Chain Lightning as your main damage.
Frost Bolt - vulnerable, resource generation and makes you trigger Enlightenment quickly.
Ice Barrier - main defensive.
Ice Blades - attack speed & vulnerable.
Teleport - unstoppable & mobility.
Flame Shield - dodge sh*tty mechanics & damage bonus from Tal'Rasha.
Enchantments
- Teleport for mobility. Want to evade as much as possible.
- Ice Blades. Allows us to keep up 3 at all times, granting 30 % attack speed.
Aspect & Uniques

For leveling, there are no mandatory aspects. Simply grab what you can find.
Azurewrath and Fists of Fate are mandatory when we swap to the endgame variant. Try to get 1x GA to start off with. Next look for a good Axial Conduit, and solve the rest of your gear slots.
Giga Important prios
- You 100 % need attacks reduce evade cooldown on your sneakers if you want to keep teleporting.
- You 100 % need lucky hit: chance to restore resources on your offhand to sustain mana.
Cooldown Reduction - aim to get as much as possible for evade teleport. To perma teleport, you need to hit all masterworks on evade/CDR or much easier - get a shako.

How it Plays
- Spam all of your cooldowns.
- Evade for mobility.
- Spam Chain Lightning.
If you're leveling: Spam Frost Bolts when you're out of mana (not needed in endgame version).
If you're running a low defence setup, then mobility is your main way of survival. Teleport around like a crazed rabbit to avoid all annoying explosions et cetera.
How it Works
This is a build completely reliant on the Azurewrath unique with its **
Lucky hit: Chance to deal cold damage** along with the same offhand temper - to deal a buttload of damage.
Hitting the masterwork on these, along with stacking attack speed - you have an insanely high flat base damage that you can scale further. It's so high in fact, that they are far beyond what you would otherwise get from other damage triggers, such as those from Axial Conduits.
Attack Speed
When it comes to attack speed, the damage directly scales off attack speed as well - a long known bug that seems to be staying. This means that we want as high attack speed as possible. There are two attack speed buckets, and we're trying to maximize the attack speed in both of them: https://maxroll.gg/d4/resources/attack-speed-mechanics
Playstyle
Because Azurewrath and its temper requires lucky hit, we want as many lucky hits as possible. To achieve this, we need to:
- Stack lucky hit.
- Attack as frequently as possible.
And this is why we're playing Chain lightning. This has a high lucky hit chance, along with being able to chain for loads of attacks per second. Combine this with the Axial Conduit pantaloonies, and you'll see lightning going off all over the screen.
Enlightenment vs.Vyr's key passive:
- Enlightenment for damage, Vyr's for defence. Vyr's does not seem to work with Azurewrath or our damage procs, so use Enlightenment if you need more damage and only use Vyr if you're looking for defence - I tend to swap between them depending on what I need.
Seasonal Powers
Glacial Nimbus turns all of our lightning damage into cold damage, which is why we want to stack it up. This one and Fractured Core are mandatory, the rest you can swap for your liking.
Resource Generation
You're spending a gazillion mana with this build.
Your main source of mana generation is from your lucky hit: chance to restore resources on your offhand. We're also using the Tam and Lam combo to maximize our chain lightning spamming capabilities in the starter variant, but swap as we obtain Starless.
Genererally, you're never running out of mana and if you are - then you're doing something wrong.
