Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Excellent Levelling Build
  • High Damage
  • Great Mobility (Cast and Forget)
  • Cannot start with from the start of Season
  • Requires positioning of Firewall

Build Variants

With release of Lord of Hatred, we no longer start with bonus skill points from paragon.

As well, the structure by which we choose skills in the tree has changed.

Therefore: WE CANNOT START OUR SEASON WITH Firewall. This is something we transition into once Firewall is unlocked.

Enchantments

To unlock Enchantments you do not need to have completed the Sorcerer Class Quest at Level 15+ in Lord of Hatred. It will be automatically unlocked for you once you reach level 15.

First Enchantment

  • Fireball is the bread and butter of this entire set-up. Because we are a Pure Burn build. This means any damage we cast will cause the target to explode.
  • We DO NOT need to have Fireball equipped on our bar in order for the enhchantment to work
  • All selections to improve our Fireball apply when triggered by the enchantment such as:
    • Size Bonus Fireball and Instantaneous Destruction Fireball

Second Enchantment

  • Hydra is taken as it allows us to have 2 Hydras out instead of just one as the enchantment Hydra DOES NOT count towards our Hydra Limit. The burn damage is nothing to scoff at when we combine our overpowers generated from Overpower Fire Bolt in combination with:
    • Overpower Hydra and Cast Speed Hydra

Requirements

Must have Firewall unlocked.

Aspects

You can no longer acquire Aspects from World Map Dungeons in Lord of Hatred. You must find them through drops.

Aspect of Heavenly Strength - Damage Reduction for only wearing a 2-Handed Weapon. Amazing

Aspect of Might - You will be casting Fire Bolt to obtain overpowers from Overpower Fire Bolt from time to time, might as get tanky from it.

Aspect of Warmth - THESE DO NOT WORK ATM. Problem has been reported, please standby for update.

Aspect of Shredding Blades - Your Hydra is a conjuration and when it's updraded to Bathed in Flame Hydra, anything touched by the burn aura is now vulnerable and takes more damage from all sources from being vulnerable. A powerful and free +35%[x] multiplier to our damage.[

Aspect of the Untarnished Blaze - You are rarely not healthy, so enjoy big damage

Scornful Aspect - Because we are all about "fire and forget", but the time we run or Teleport away, they take extra damage and die

Aspect of Voracious Rage - We always want to keep moving with our powerful AoE. No brakes.

Runes

Cir + Qua

    • It's cheap, easy to find, and unfortunately only gives us 10% movement speed now instead of 50%, but any little bit helps this early in the game.

Skills

Fire Bolt 1/15 Points: Utility spell, extra points do nothing for us

    • Overpower Fire Bolt Generates overpower for our Overpower Hydra
    • Resource Generation Fire Bolt Generates resource for us during boss fights
    • Twin Flame Fire Bolt Double the mana regen and double the overpowers

Fireball 1/15 Points: Utility Enchantment, strong in the early parts, starts to fall off towards ~level 40.

    • Size Bonus Fireball Bigger boom
    • Instantaneous Destruction Fireball More Damage Boom

Teleport 4/15 Points: No where else to put extra points, it elongates the stun a little bit

    • Ferocity Teleport Attacking faster means faster rotations and smoother gameplay
    • Weaken Teleport Allows us to be more tanky
    • Wormhole Teleport Can now double teleport

Ice Armor 15/15 Points: Makes you invincible due to armor effecting general damage reduction rather than just Physical Damage.

    • Cooldown Reduction Ice Armor Smaller Cooldown means its up more often
    • Duration Bonus and Barrier Ice Armor Longer uptime and more armor
    • Permafrost Ice Armor unstoppable means we cannot be crowd controlled + even more armor

Frost Nova 15/15 Points: Elongates the freeze duration which comes in handy in a tough situation.

    • Size Bonus Frost Nova Hit more stuff = freeze more stuff = more safety
    • Vulnerable Frost Nova Free Vulnerable application for +20%[x] damage multiplier
    • Cold Front Frost Nova Can now cast at target location means no more putting yourself in danger to freeze anything.

Hydra 15/15 Points: More burn damage

    • Cast Speed Hydra More attacks per seconds = More damage per second
    • Overpower Hydra Used in combination with Overpower Fire Bolt to give Hydra extra head. This net's out +33%[x] more damage for our Hydra
    • Bathed in Flame Hydra Shocking amount of burn damage and no cooldown as compared to Behemoth Hydra

Firewall 15/15 Points: Main Damage Dealer

    • Damage Bonus Firewall More damage
    • Cost Reduction Firewall Seems weak, ends up being very dependable.
    • Wildfire Firewall Bigger Fire, Longer Fire, "Better Fire"

Ultimate:

Inferno - It's absolutely lack luster and ends up doing worse for us than just casting another Firewall. Do not recommend.

Mercenary

Subo (Primary)

We take Subo as our Primary for the Map Hack and Damage Over Time from Scorched Earth.

Aldkin (Secondary)

We take Aldkin as our Secondary for the 40% Slow Movement and 20% Damage Reduction on affected enemies from Fields of Languish.

How it Plays

This is a VERY EASY, Cast and Forget Playstyle.

You don't need to think too hard because Firewall does so much burn damage that everything will explode from the Fireball enchantment.

The only times you need to think are on Elite/Boss Damage Rotations which look like such:

  • Cast Fire Bolt 2x to generate 4 stacks of overpower with Overpower Fire Bolt
  • Cast Hydra to consume of overpower stacks with Overpower Hydra to deal +33%[x] more damage
  • Spawm Firewall
  • Profit
  • Cast Fire Bolt until mana full

Remember that you have Ice Armor and Frost Nova for whenever things get spicy/dangerous.

Repeat each step as necessary

How it Works

(Dead Section, Not Applicable to Season 13 / Lord of Hatred)

Build Overview

This Fire Sorcerer Levelling Build focuses on optimising the damage from Firewall whilst staying tanky enough to easily get to Level 60.

It does this through the following:

  • Spamming Firewall to melt Enemies across the screen.
  • Spawning Conjurations to support you in combat.
  • Big Burn Damage from the Combustion Key Passive.
  • Big Damage via the Passives Glass Cannon, Inner Flames, Permafrost, Endless Pyre.
  • Defensive Measures via Protection and Mana Shield.
  • Resource Management from Passives, Aspects and Equipment.
  • Maxing Attack Speed through Aspects and Equipment.
  • Cooldown Reduction via Passives and Equipment.
  • Barrier for extreme defence.

Check out the In-Depth Explanations below for further details on the build.
