Key Items

Elegy is the most important item in the build.
It is a unique sword.
Gives you the Skull Splitter variant of Blazing Scream for free.
This season it also makes your smaller Blazing Screams deal increased damage, just like the main one.

Sadistic Aspect needs to be on your Amulet as a transfiguration. It's all your healing power.

Temerity is the second most important item.
Paired with Sadistic Aspect (which regenerates your life every time one of your demons is killed this season), it creates a massive barrier.
This barrier protects your life from the burning damage of Metamorphosis.
Burning damage and DoTs deal less damage to barriers, so the barrier is critical while you are burned.

The Eightfold Idol is the second unique that changed this season.
While enemies stand on a lava trail they take extra damage.
Your main Blazing Scream leaves those trails behind.

Moloch's Beating Flameis a unique amulet and a core piece of the build.
It provides the biggest multiplier we have.

Wendigo Brand give a lot of damage, 200% dmg and Atk speed is massive.

Fists of Fate is also more damage than Hand of Apotheosis if Mythic.

One of those passives increases your damage based on your life.
Wendigo Brand gives a massive damage buff and also increases your life by 1% per stack of the Wendigo Brand buff.

Infernal Homunculuss is a less important unique.
It simply has the best slot multiplier available.

Hellhound's Sabatons look unimportant at first but matter a lot.
During the charge or mobility portion of Summon Abodian you also cast Hellfire skills.
These help scale your buffs and kills, especially Endless Barrage.
Barrage keeps your Wendigo Brand stacks high and also helps other on kill effects.

Leoric's Crown is the seasonal item.
This is where you socket the best splinters for the season.
You can put Splinter of Anguish, Splinter of Pain, or Splinter of the Black Soulstone.

Stats Priority

The most important stats are vulnerability, critical strike damage, and max life.

• Hand of Apotheosis → Bartuc use this if no FOF

• Leoric's Crown → Seasonal item
• Fists of Fate is also an option; they come from the generic unique pool.

I opted to run with the Beru of Abaddon's Flesh, set charm, which increases our damage but also increases our life. At the same time, the last passive set allows us to leave Metamorphosis form and still benefit from the buffs in case our HP gets drained too heavily.

For stats: Using maximum life and Hellfire skills ranks is a no-brainer in this build. Since we need to stack HP to increase our damage, that choice was pretty easy.
