The Twisting Blades Rogue Build Guide teaches you about Gear, Skills, Paragon, Playstyle & Seasonal Mechanics in Diablo 4.

Twisting Blades is back! But only for Pit Pushing or Boss Farming! If you want to play this builds outside of Pits for Speedfarming, you are likely to have a bad time. Due to lack of accessible mobility, low area of effect and required ramp up time, this is a build exclusively designed for Pit Pushing and Bosses.

How it Plays

Dash into packs.
Activate Dark Shroud for defense.
Activate Poison Imbuement
- Re-activate immediately once off Cooldown.
Throw Smoke Grenade to gain Stealth and the benefits of Concealment, thanks to Shrouded Gift.
- This also applies Vulnerable to your enemies, thanks to Concealing Fate Concealment.
- You also gain Fortify with this through Aspect of Mending Obscurity.
- Breaking Stealth then activates Berú of the Sightless.
Use Shadow Clone to empower your Imbue'd attacks.
Spam Twisting Blades.
- Spending Energy resets your Shadow Clone Cooldown through Preparation.

How it Works

Attack Speed Breakpoints

Because the game's server operates in frames (images), Skills can only be cast in a whole number of frames. This means, for example, that you can't cast a Skill in 10.2 frames. To extend this example further, that means that all Attack Speed values that lead to a cast time of 10.01 to 10.99 frames would mean you end up casting at 11 frames, effectively wasting all Attack Speed gains from 11 frames to 10.01.

In order to avoid wasting Attack Speed, you can calculate the Attack Speed Breakpoints for your skills using THIS SHEET.

You might be wondering how frames translate into actual Cast Speed. Because the server runs at 60 frames per second the way we translate frames into Cast Speed is with the formula: 60 / Frames = Casts per Second.

FAQ

Why are we not scaling Twisting Blades Damage?

Our main damage comes from Poison Imbuement and effects that multiplicatively buff Twisting Blades do not result in a damage increase. Poison Imbuement only calculates from Twisting Blades Base Damage which can only be increased by +Core Skill Ranks. Therefore, we are mostly using global damage buffs or Poison Damage and Imbuement scalers.
