Build Overview

With Season 13 in full swing, Minions have come out as a clear top contender for the Necromancer class thanks to the Unique Deathgrip, giving a new playstyle to the classic Minion build by focusing on the Skeletal Warriors Reapers as the main star of the show.

This build brings out all the best the Necromancer has to offer to bring the undead army back to life.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  1. The description for Deathgrip is currently wrong, an update is pending to get it fixed.
  2. Unique Items do not yet have their Unique specific modifers. An update is pending to add them.

Bloodless Scream has seen massive buffs coming into Season 14 with the introduction with the Mythic system. It was already best in slot for the build, but now this season makes it a clear winner with Overpower nerfed.

The Undercrown fits comfortably as an easier to get and now better replacement for Heir of Perdition which got heavily nerfed.

Aspect of Hewed Flesh is an underrated aspect choice in minion builds as Skeletal Warriors Reapers have the Corpse tag, making this a 20% damage multiplier from a Utility slot.

Talisman

Talisman Priority
+7

Skeletal Warriors Reapers make full use of their darkness tag by dipping into the Fer of the Black Shroud charm set, which is one of the most powerful Charm set for the class.

With the nerf to Aspect of Glynn's Anvil, the Temerity Unique Charm is used to help bolster survivability.

However, if Azurewrath gets bug fixed to work for minions, it will be best in slot for the build. Until confirmation of it getting fixed is posted, avoid using it for now.

Resolve Skeleton Warrior is a main part of the build, acting as the main generator of Resolve Stacks for the builds survivability

Both the Golem and Skeletal Mages serve as utility options, with Golem providing Gargantua Golem and mages offering a source of Ferocity through the Ferocity, Resolve, or Overpower Skeleton Mage upgrade.

With the nerfs to Overpower, Army of the Dead is the best best in slot Ultimate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Not Use The Army Of The Dead Charm Set?

The Fer of the Waking Touch is a very unfortunate charm set, as minion size and maximum life are both stats that have very little use to any minion build. The 25% attack speed gained from the 5 piece set effect and 60% from the 2 piece set effect are much worse than the damage multipliers gained from the Fer of the Black Shroud set even after accounting for the higher uptime on Army of the Dead.

Why Is Attack Speed So Important?

It is extremely important that you get to 100% minion attack speed to fully scale the Cult Leader paragon node. To make sure you have enough attack speed, go into your character sheet and add your attack speed with the stat, "Minion Attack Speed". That numbers needs to be 100% or greater.
