General gameplay loop for this build is spamming your action skill as much as possible using the
Stormlance augment to prime as many enemies in a group as you can, and then finishing them off with a high crit damage finisher through the
Wrathfall capstone. Naturally will be leveraging cryo weapons/ordnances to freeze/apply cryo to as many enemies as you can to increase your damage dealt through
Age of Ice and
Icy Rage

Notes
Hola friendos, it's your friendly neighbourhood Moze Amon main with the first of many Amon builds. This time around, going to be running through a theory based Scourge build focused on priming and elemental damage.
Build Concept and things to know:
For this build, we're going to be focusing on is spamming your action skill as much as possible using the
Stormlance augment to prime as many enemies in a group as you can, and then finishing them off with a high crit damage finisher through the
Wrathfall capstone. Naturally will be leveraging cryo weapons/ordnances as well to freeze/apply cryo to as many enemies as you can to increase your damage dealt through
Age of Ice and

Skills
Trunk
There's a few key skills that enable this gameplay loop which I'll quickly explain - but once again, I just want to reiterate that this tree hasn't been tested in game and the interactions might not work in practice the same way it works on paper. With that said, we can start the skill tree breakdown.
For skills in the trunk, we pick the following:
Scorched Kairos - straightforward ordnance damage (and mag size) bonus
Tail of the Comet - gives Amon the chance to apply a cryo DoT to an enemy by doing ordnance damage. Synergises nicely with a few cryo damage boosting skills we'll talk about soon
Eternal - increases AS duration and gun swap speed. This will be useful to spend more time throwing spears in
Stormlance and giving us the chance to prime more enemies
Bullet Hail - gives Amon the chance to create ricocheting cryo shards that likely (but needs to be tested) scales of the initial damage dealt
Machinist - kill skill that gives Amon ordnance cooldown
Branches
For this build, we invest in 2 branches, to increase our elemental damage output and put a nice little wrapper around our gameplay loop of priming and detonating enemies for mass AoE mobbing.
Branch 3:
For Branch 3, we pick the following skills:
Blackout - to give us a chance to apply shock to enemies as well as give ordnance a chance to crit.
Thunderous Rage - Gives Amon a stack of shock affinity per kill which gives a crit damage bonus for each stack of affinity. ties in nicely with
Blackout as we are maximising our chance to apply shock to enemies.
Smelter - we invest our spare points into smelter to give us some forgeskill cooldown so we can keep fuelling the priming and detonation loop.
And by way of augment, we pick
Stormlance. This gives Amon throwable shock spears that deal shock ordnance damage on impact, and also primes enemies - similar to the
Crucible Action skill in the Cybernetics tree.
For the capstone, we pick
Wrathfall to summon a massive AoE sword that detonates primed enemies and guarantees to crit, which helps to deal as much damage as possible in a concentrated area.
Branch 2:
For Branch 2, we pick the following:
Icy Rage - gives us increased gun damage by stacking cryo affinity, which we get by killing enemies with cryo damage
Age of Ice - increases Amons damage output on frozen enemies/bosses (helps to maximise damage potential)
Winter's Kiss - gives Amon a chance to spawn an elemental shard that does AoE cryo damage, after he does ordnance damage to an enemy.
the logic for point investment in this tree was to dip into a few different elemental damage bonuses and make use out of skills like
Icy Rage and
Age of Ice to increase our total DPS output.
Fin
With all that said and done, as much as I would love to talk about gear combos and what would be optimal, we've seen such little gear that it's going to be quite difficult to predict what would make this skill tree spec optimal. In any case, hope this spec inspires some of you guys to test it out and iterate on it to make it your own, or at the very least, serves as a bit of a starting tree to work through as we all play through the game. Hope this was useful and I'll be back soon with more builds!
Ciao~
