Build Overview

Hey everyone! I've paid my internet bill so finally got access to google again! Today I want to share my Ordamon Ordnance Amon build. I know, i know.. I'm a bit late to the party. But now that Blackout has been fixed, it'd be a missed opportunity to share my spin on a heavy ordnance Amon build. So bon appetit

Strengths And Weaknesses

  • big boom go brr
  • mob like a champion
  • bossing made easy
  • too strong
  • better rolled gear = more damage so can be somewhat punishing on suboptimal gear

Vengeance

Wrath of Nature

  • Increased status effect chance means that we can maximise our DoT damage potential to make heavier use out of things like Blackout, Electrical Fire and Catastrophe

Scorched Kairos

  • Since our Stormlance does ordnance damage, we boost ordnance damage where we can. Free ordnance damage from a skill is very straightforward

Tail of the Comet

  • A powerhouse skill that significantly boosts your DoT and scales off the initial damage dealt which. This DoT then scales from all elemental bonuses, etc.. so a lot of damage can be sourced from this single skill

Blackout

  • Previously bugged but no longer. Free DoT by ordnance spamming (in this case, Stormlance is our ordnance). Can make our Stormlances crit and deal a very large shock DoT as a result (which scales with skills like Electrical Fire and Catastrophe)

Calamity

What Burns Within

  • Because we are making use of Electrical Fire, being able to boost our fire DoTs (and also the damage of any incendiary ordnances that you choose to use) is always going to be a good thing

Wield the Storm

  • Extra status effect damage and duration for the DoTs we get from things like Tail of the Cometand Blackout

Gut Punch

  • Making enemies take more damage is good for 1 shotting + fatter DoTs so even a single point in Gut Punch provides us with enough reliable bossing potential

Wield the Storm

  • This build focuses heavily on DoTs so boosting the damage and duration of the DoTs means extra DPS on beefier bosses

Catastrophe

  • since Blackout gives us a shock DoT fairly reliably, we can get a persistent crit chance bonus at all times. Combing this with Electrical Fire means that we get a fire DoT applied to enemies at the same time so we can get the crit damage bonus from Catastropheas well. Yay for synergy!

Dragon's Breath

  • We've spoken about Dragon's breath a lot and while in this specific build, the 2 points here are burner points to get further into the branch - Dragon's Breath still remains a very reliable damage bonus for single shots since it counts as amp.

Crackling Aegis

  • while it'll be tough to maintain this bonus in bossing - mainly because of Protean Cell draining our shields, if you pop your damage quick enough, you're able to get a decent damage bonus out of this skill. still a solid pick nonetheless

Ordnance

For the Ordnance itself, you have 2 guns "required" but each serves a different purpose. I strongly suggest the bottle for mobbing due to its incredibly powerful AoE bolts which can chain to enemies to apply DoTs and melt health bars. And due to its constantly ticking damage, it can fuel Endless Bombardment from your Cyborg COM easily to ensure you can keep spamming the ordnance as if its a standard primary weapon.

For bossing, i strongly suggest the Honeybunch purple rarity launcher. Incredibly powerful and can fire multiple rockets in a single charged volley for maximum damage. It can also roll with elements so be sure to match the right element to the boss you're planning to melt.

Repkit

No surprises here. Triple Bypass with the amp roll is a no brainer pick here. Pop it before you fire your bossing rockets and you're good to go for a one shot.

Shield

Protean Cell is our best in slot option for bossing, primarily due to its special effect which provides a global shock damage buff to all damage sources (in our case, DoTs and Ordnance shots). While this does make us a bit more vulnerable to boss damage (due to its shield drain effect), just be careful when doing your slams and you'll be fine.

COM

For the class mod, we settle on a Cyborg class mod, which can roll with points in Endless Bombardment which is a core skill needed in order to spam ordnances for mobbing situations. However there's a few other purple COMs that Amon has which can roll with points in Tail of the Comet and Blackout like the Icebreaker COM which would be an optimal COM for bossing if you want to min/max the amount of damage you dish out.

2/3 in Gadget Ahoy gives you extra ordnance CD rate as well as an increase to ordnance damage, and combine that with 1 tier of Get Throwin for additional ordnance damage that is passively applied.

2/3 in High Caliber gives us more projectile speed to help from a QoL perspective when firing slow moving rockets, as well as an increase to gun damage which can apply to our specialisations and various SOUP
