After the nerf to Neutron Capture a couple of patchs ago, The skill has become a sort of amp for guns similar to Blood Shot and Gamma Ray Burst. It's a nerf overall but does open to some interesting synergy (with the Wombo Combo for example)

However, with this tech that @Rapoulas (on Discord) discovered, you can cancel the detonation animation of CHROMA Accelerator using a Jakob Pistol. That'd make the orb freeze mid air and allowDemon Core's darts to hit more consistently and build up a bigger Neutron Capture for each dart hit.

Momentum, Resonance Cascade, Elementary, Enriched, Field-Ready Prototype and Poisoned Sun are food for Neutron Capture's double dipping

Chain Reactor and Decoherence are source "inheriting bonus elements" - you just need to know these are a fresh mult for Neutron Capture

Glow Up now can gives crit chance to your Neutron Capture shots

Make Extraordinary gives extra crit chance to both your CHROMA Accelerator and Neutron Capture so more soup for double dipping, you can swap this skill for Latent Charge for more fresh mult or Feedback Loop which give duration for more Demon Core darts

GUNS:

Get a Jakobs Pistol so you can cancel the detonation animation

Wombo Combo is by far the best gun for this build because the rocket deals x8 the card damage and also receive x8 the Neutron Capture bonus.

Alt-fires like Space Laser, Kill Drone, Attack Drone, Taser can also be great.

Use any High Mag, High Fire-rate Full Auto Vladof Gun (or any manufacturer you prefer).

ORDNANCES:

Slippy is great for proccing CQC

Crit knife is the best option for damage overall

For survivability you can use any ordnance with a lifesteal part

COMS:

Get a Reactor or a Purple COM wit as much point into Decoherence as possible

Skeptic or Scientist can be great for action skill cooldown during mobbing

For the passive, look out for Skill Crit Chance, Skill Duration, Skill Damage, Gun Damage,...

Skill duration passive is really good because it increase the amount of dart spawn by Demon Core

SHIELDS:

Watts 4 Dinner is the same deal as Decoherence, Chain Reactor. It is a fresh mult for Neutron Capture double dipping

ENHANCEMENT:

Hero of Bullet is great for Neutron Capture capture dps

REPKIT:

For repkits we focus more on the survivability so stuff like Triple Bypass. Avoid All Damage Dealt part as it would hamper the healing greatly.

3/3 High Caliber allows us to double hit with splash gun, basically doubling our dps

For the rest you can use any gun QOL firmware like Heating Up and Bullets to Spare

Gameplay

BOSSING:

Make sure you are holding a jakob pistol

Activate CHROMA Accelerator

Once the ORB is close enough to the boss (when the pass through damage appear), press your action button again and shoot your jakob pistol (the orb should freeze by now)

Swap to your main Neutron Capture gun (like the Wombo Combo)

Wait until the duration run out, the orb explode then you can start shooting

Warning: If you know the boss is going to move it's better to detonate right away rather than waiting until the duration run out!
