How to Beat

Oppressor is a noisy bossfight since it's fully aerial and will attack you from above at all times. It is recommended to face this boss with any strong Assault or Sniper Rifle you have to make it easier to hit him from afar.

FIGHT TLDR

  1. Prioritize dodging any bombs and missiles when the Oppressor is flying around instead of shooting at it.
  2. Don't chase the Oppressor when it flies around - instead wait for it to stop and then fire away!

Mechanics

Bomb Drop

What Happens: The Oppressor flies in a line over you, dropping explosive bombs that deal damage.

What to do: Don't bother shooting at Oppressor when it does this and make sure to dodge these bombs by sprinting, jumping and dashing away.

These bombs fall in a line; dodge to the side.

Rocket Launch

What Happens: Oppressor shoots rockets directly at you, dealing damage.

What to do: Get below the Oppressor to make it harder for him to hit you. While under him, aim at his orange core in the middle to deal extra damage!

You can also stand behind objects to avoid the rockets!

Tips & Tricks

  • Make sure to aim at the orange core of the Oppressor to deal extra damage!
  • Don't bother chasing the Oppressor - instead wait for it to get closer and then fire away
  • Oppressor starts with a Shield and is then Armored, making it initially weak to⚡Shock and then❄️Cryo and 🟢Corrosive damage!
