Use your favourite features in-game with our Desktop AppStory Pack 1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned is the first of two planned Story Packs coming to Borderlands 4 on March 26th, 2026. The Story Pack DLC will be set in a new, unique region known as the Whispering Glacier. With it, comes the release of C4SH the Rogue, a new playable Robot Vault Hunter.
If you own the Super Deluxe edition of Borderlands 4, it will already include Story Pack 1 and C4SH. Otherwise, you can purchase it individually.
As one might expect, the Story Pack will feature new gear, weapons and cosmetics for every vault hunter, alongside 16 mini-bosses and 2 main bosses with their own dedicated loot drops.
Players can expect new story missions, side missions, activities, and collectibles in the new zone!
A new version of the world boss open world encounter called Nightmare Rifts has also been confirmed.
For Story Pack 1, there are a total of 28 cosmetics to unlock. The full list is as follows:
In terms of weapons and gear, over 20 new pieces are expected, including new Legendaries as usual, but also new Class Mods for every Vault Hunter and 3 new Pearlescent rarity weapons!
Story Pack 1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned also comes with C4SH the Rogue, a new playable Robot Vault Hunter. C4SH is a CasinoBot with a magical deck of cards who's experiencing unpredictability for the first time in his life, with a gameplay that seems intent on risk-taking, luck and chance-based events.
C4SH will be playable through the entirety of Borderlands 4's content, and will have his own unique trait, Action Skills and Skill Trees, alongside cosmetics.
One of the revealed Action Skills is Sleight of Hand, where C4SH draws cards from his randomized deck to throw and cast spells on enemies.
