How to Beat

Mimicron is a simple enemy yet with his Stealth and Clone abilities is also quite elusive.

FIGHT TLDR

  1. Make sure to keep a safe distance to Mimicron at all times as he only deals deadly damage up-close.
  2. Focus the Clones

Mechanics

Stealth

What Happens: Mimicron disengages and turns invisible.

What to do: AoE damage will show the damage ticks at his location. There is also a shimmer that reveals his whereabouts though due to the low lighting of the boss arena this can be tricky to see at times.

Perhaps translucent is a better word for this.

Mimi-Clone

What Happens: Mimicron creates a clone of himself that mimics most of Mimicron's attacks.

What to do: The Clone is squishy so make sure to kill the clone whenever he gets spawned asap to keep your focus on the original Mimicron boss. The clone is a green-ish colour and only has a shield healthbar.

This is getting out of hand. Now there are two of them!

Leap

What Happens: Mimicron leaps towards you with a fast jump to attack.

What to do: Dodge by simply dashing to the sides or running away from it.

If the boss is ever in the air, he's coming your way.

Spin Attack

What Happens: Mimicron uses his weapon to create a spinning attack which deals huge damage.

What to do: Keeping your distance will mean you only take one tick of damage from the spin. Fortuntely, as a melee only boss, you should be kiting him anyway. Be careful you don't backpedal on to a wall or box in the arena and get stuck.

The Clone can copy this too.

Tips & Tricks

  • Make sure to aim for headshots on Mimicron to deal more damage to him.
  • Mimicron starts with a blue (Shield) healthbar and then yellow (Armor), making him initially weak to ⚡Shock and ☢️Radiation, and then 🟢Corrosive and ❄️Cryo.
  • You can tell which is the Clone and which is the real Mimicron by both the colour of the model (the clone is Monochrome) and the healthbar above the target. If it's a single blue healthbar, it's the Clone.
  • The Clone will spawn with random elements but the healthbar will always be blue.
  • Various adds will spawn to give you Second Winds and Kill Skill synergies, consider keeping some alive for such situations.
