Green Tree
Action Skill:
Crucible
I chose to focus this build around the
Crucible action skill for a few reasons: it's easily the most spammable action skill that we've seen in gameplay, it's a melee skill with some actual range, it's got a ton of synergy with both guns and ordnances, but most of all, it just looks fun as hell. We're gonna be spamming both our action skill, our
Forgeskill, and our ordnances as much as possible. All of these things will buff up our gun damage and debuff our enemies.
Tier 1:
Executioner (5/5)
Crit damage is great since we're picking up some crit chance later on in this tree. A lot of the damage we'll be dealing is melee damage, so this crit damage will always be doubled.
Tier 2:
Tempered Pyre (1/5)
We're only putting 1 point in this skill so the forgedrones can help us proc melee effects like
Gut Punch and
Fists of Stone, for some more consistent debuff application, and even more forgeskill spam.
Augment:
Endless War
This augment is a core part of the build. Being able to stack up a 15% gun damage debuff on enemies is a huge DPS boost for single targets, and the action skill ricochets this augment gives us will help a lot with proccing all of our skills while mobbing.
Tier 2:
Bolt Action (4/5)
The main reason we're taking this skill is so we don't hit a major wall when we get to an enemy with high fire resistance or fire immunity. Because
Dragon's Breath will be converting our big shots to fire damage, it's nice to have some shock damage on top of it so we can still kill those pesky fire resistant enemies, and maybe even have an easier time stripping enemy shields.
Tier 3:
Twin Tempers (1/1)
This doubles up our forgedrones, giving us a lot more procs for our melee skills.
Tier 3:
Vital Organs (4/5)
Even as just a kill skill, gun crit chance is a huge DPS boost for any gun build, such as this one.
Right Branch, Tier 4:
Raging Inferno (5/5)
Take this to move down the tree, and to get a bit of extra damage from all the skills we're spamming, as well as a good way to proc
Bullet Storm for a bit of gun damage.
Right Branch: Tier 5:
Reactive Armor (5/5)
This is one of the core skills of this build. Not only does this grant us a ton of survivability by restoring our shields almost constantly, but it also gives us enough ordnance cooldown to let us proc
Dragon's Breath consistently with slow firing, high damage weapons. This is a must take skill for this build.
Right Branch, Tier 6:
Reverse Explosion (1/1)
This skill should allow us to group enemies together for more efficient
Endless War ricochets, and better crowd control with all of our splash damage. It should also be good for a bit of aggro relief, as when an enemy is being sucked into a singularity, they aren't shooting at you.
Capstone:
Conflangarang
This capstone is very important to us because it gives us what is easily the most spammable forgeskill in Amon's skill trees. Getting forgeskill cooldown when damaging an enemy AND detonating enemies will be huge for when we want to throw out as many boomerangs as possible so we can proc all of our detonation effects from
Endless War and
Reactive Armor.
Red Tree
Tier 1:
Impetus (3/3)
Movement speed is always great to have, especially while running through a large open world, trying to discover as many things as you can. Shield regen rate is pretty nice as well.
Tier 1:
What Burns Within (2/5)
We're mostly taking this skill to move down the tree, but the extra fire damage is quite nice, as most of our damage will be fire. It's also the only elemental damage we're getting from this spec, so it's a bit more valuable than it would be otherwise.
Tier 2:
Wield the Storm (2/5)
This is another skill that we're mostly taking to move down the tree, but it also has some benefit for our fire status effects cause by
Raging Inferno. The status effect duration also helps us with uptime on
Gut Punch and
Bullet Storm.
Tier 2:
Gut Punch (3/3)
This is just overall a great skill. This lets us deal more damage to afflicted enemies, while also reducing the damage those enemies deal to us. ordnance damage and melee damage can both inflict this debuff, so we'll be applying this constantly.
Tier 3:
Forged In Steel (1/1)
Considering the rate at which we're using our forgeskill with this spec, I have to wonder if this skill will need to be toned down a bit. 6 seconds of damage immunity is pretty ridiculous, but hey, we'll take it.
Tier 3:
Bullet Storm (4/5)
This skill is the only actual gun damage we're getting in this spec, believe it or not. It's not a very large amount, but it definitely helps.
Right Branch, Tier 4:
Dragon's Breath (5/5)
This skill is the namesake of this build. The whole idea with the synergies we're speccing for is to activate as many detonations as we can in order to proc
Reactive Armor, letting us chain our ordnances which will activate this skill. Ideally, you'll want to use slow firing, high powered weapons with this build: maybe snipers, a beefy shotgun, or even a launcher. The more shots you can imbue with
Dragon's Breath, the better your damage will be with your guns.
Right Branch, Tier 5:
Fists of Stone (3/5)
This is the last skill we're taking with this spec, and it's another important one. Even more forgeskill cooldown will just make our intended gameplay loop that much faster. Our forgedrones, action skills, and forgeskills will all be proccing this skill, resulting in a huge amount of refunded cooldown. Go nuts with all your boomerangs.

While this spec should be very versatile for a leveling build, I wanted to make sure that it would all culminate in a very solid endgame gun build for Amon, and
Dragon's Breath is the way that we achieve that. By the time you spec into that skill, you should have already collected some decent high single-shot damage weapons.
If this build performs well enough come launch day, I will eventually be updating it with any skill changes and gear choices.
